Law Abiding Citizen (2009)
The most infamous ending
But for the ending this would be a 10. Incredibly good up to that, ending is so bad that it had to have been shoehorned in for non-script reasons.
Pennyworth (2019)
Great start but they couldn't resist.
All well and good, and original in style. Then, much like Star Wars, they retcon the universe to fit a particular political persuasion (no points for guessing which). The parents and mentor of everyone's favorite billionaire industrialist vigilante depicted as "left wing radicals" is a pass.
The Longest Week (2014)
Pretentious Wes Anderson rip-off
This is truly awful. It's like the producer's kid saw The Royal Tenenbaums and came home from Brown or Yale and was allowed to make his first movie with a studio budget.
Like so many other movies (sorry, "films") now, it's like they said "if we shoot it in NYC nobody will notice how terrible this is!"
At least Jason Bateman is in it, but his agent should be horse-whipped for letting him do this.
