Schindler's List (1993)
The review on "Schindler's List"
This film is an extraordinary tale of 1 man saving 1200 lives of persecuted Jews during the Holocaust.
Oskar Schindler is shown initially as an opportunist industrialist who is out to make the most of the war.But as the war continues and as he witnesses the atrocities, he focuses of saving as many Jews as he can. The film has one of the most gripping and heart-touching portrayals of the Holocaust. The Nazi soldier Goeth is another character the viewer would find intriguing.
The Jewish saying "Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire",is a pivotal element of the plot. The value of Human life is unequaled.
The direction by Steven Spielberg,in combination with spectacular performances from Liam Neeson,Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes makes this movie an Epic to cherish. The B&W touch in the cinematography transcends the viewing experience to another plane. The score, which materializes the horrors and tragedy of the Holocaust,by John Williams deserves special mention.
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (2007)
Command Conquer Tiberium Wars is Awesome
Hands down one of the best Real Time Strategy games ever. The graphics is really great the details are stunning and so is the model design ! But the physics engine could be a bit better !
The rating could be said to be a bit prejudiced as I am head over heals in love with the C&C franchise especially the ones involving GDA and NOD !But you are lying to yourself if you give this game anything less than an 8.
It has awesome background story and the scenarios you face in the campaign are pretty amazing too . The NOD and GDA individual campaigns are worth the time and effort because of the scenarios which give you individual view points of the organizations. The game just gives you specific objectives to fulfill in campaigns. Use your wits and stratagem to beat the game !
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
About "The Hobbit: An unexpected journey" and how beautiful I found this film to be.
The Hobbit is undoubtedly one of the best movies of 2012. And as far as the Fantasy-fiction genre goes one the Best of all times(Who am I kidding; as far as any Genre goes). This is what one can call an "Adventure packed film". From beginning till end the viewer is kept entertained and engaged by this spectacular wonder.Peter Jackson does it again and manifests Tolkien's magical words onto the silver screen as faithfully as he did his first 3 times. As prequel to THE "Lord of the Rings Trilogy" it does justice to itself and its predecessors.
The stellar cast is aptly tailored to suite the roles. Martin Freeman presents a beautiful depiction of Bilbo Baggins in his youth and Richard Armitage provides a regal and apt personification of the dwarf prince. We still get to enjoy a lot of Ian McKellen as Gandalf and Gandalf the Gray is even more spectacular in this film than before.
The Music in the film is indeed in need of special mention and appreciation. Most excellent,is the only way one can define this music which provide unbelievable immersion into the plot and the situation of the movie. Thank You Howard Shore.
The SFX in this movie is amazing to say the least it is certainly better or at least as good as that used in its predecessors. All in all a most excellent film noteworthy for its magnificent story ,engaging plot, exquisite dialogue and enchanting, enthralling music.
