Wow, you people. Why the hate?
10 September 2022
This was a thoroughly entertaining thriller! I watched all five episodes in one day. I found it engaging, good acting and an interesting premise. I didn't fall asleep or doze at all, haha. It was great seeing Mathew Fox of "Lost," "Extinction," "Bone Tomahawk" (I had wondered where he had disappeared to) Joanna Froggatt of "Downton Abbey," is a gem of an actress and Amber Rose Revah ("Emerald City" and "The Punisher") is arrestingly beautiful on screen. I enjoyed this immensely and did not regret a moment of the time I spent watching this. Don't deny yourself a great viewing experience because of some overly critical reviewers.

Warning: Spoilers
Two million dollars of an already struggling hospital's budget for "Postnatal care for undocumented mothers"? Wanting a new code to bill insurance companies on claims that racism is causing tumors? *Sighs*

WHY ALL THE HATE??? GREAT MOVIE OF ITS KIND!

I am not understanding why all the negative reviews. Don't let them influence you in not watching this thoroughly entertaining disaster flick. Acting was great, visually stunning and the story was good! It's a MOVIE.

Different from your typical series
29 June 2017
I have to say that at first, I was totally irritated and turned off from the dog's dialog. " LIKE " this, " like" that. Very annoying. As I watched each episode, I slowly began to not notice it as much and just enjoyed the story. I love how Nan is just "one of us." A real, everyday kind of gal. The writing and development of Martin's thoughts and perceptions is incredible. It is difficult to not laugh aloud at the insightful musings of Martin's thoughts. What a unique premise. Nan, Jason, and especially Martin, are characters that are fleshed out nicely. I so do hope for another round of episodes.

Unusual subject matter
13 January 2005
I read all the negatives reviews and comments about this film only to find one positive from Wood in SLC. Because of what he wrote, I took a chance and purchased this on DVD unseen. I'm glad I did. I found the film quite moving. There were a few scenes that had me grimace a bit and I feel they were rather unnecessary but, oh well. I just wish a little more was given to the ending. I thought the performances were great and I especially loved the scene with the parents of both families meeting. It was funny and touching. The film had humor but I would definitely not categorize this film as a "comedy". I liked it very much!

Paper Moon (1973)

A "must-see"
13 January 2005
I saw Paper Moon many years ago as a young girl and had just recently watched this again for the first time since. I found this film to be absolutely engaging and a pleasure to watch. Tatum O'Neal was absolutely wonderful as was Madeline Kahn. Her performance was priceless as "Trixie Delight". The scene with her "Trixie" as she's trying to cojole Tatum O'Neal's "Addie" to come back to the car and sit in the back, had me laughing so hard that I could hardly breathe! It was one of the most memorable scenes ever. Not just for the humor but how Madeline Kahn's Trixie was able to draw a certain compassion for her character and somewhat seedy lifestyle. I loved the whole film! A "must-see"!

Engaging and somewhat memorable to say the least
13 January 2005
If you're a World War II movie fan or a woman and a Maximillian Schell fan, or both, this hard to find film has definitely captured Maximillian Schell's charm and appeal. Even though he plays a German General, the "bad guy," his performance makes it very difficult NOT to like him. He is handsome and witty underneath the power of authority that he exudes. His performance is by far the best. A hand would have to be given to given to the young "pre-Naked Gun" Leslie Nielsen also. The movie plot is perhaps a little unrealistic but that's the beauty of film, right? Engaging and somewhat memorable to say the least. Worth a look if you can find it.
