Frayed (2019)
Terrible portrayal of Australians
The behaviour and language of the characters was terrible. It might be not unusual in Newcastle, but it that was Australia wide, I should regret having migrated here 35 years ago. Fortunately, it is not the average family behaving like those people. The underlying story could well be true. I really like Australian stories, but this was for my taste disgusting.
The Undoing (2020)
Waste of Time
This was disappointing to watch. The acting was bad from Nicole as well as Hugh. All movies I have seen with Nicole display a similar character, lots of steering and walking. The visual age of them as couple was too far apart. None of the actors was convincing. I am glad that I did not have to pay for, except lost my time.
The New Pope (2020)
Dark and hard to understand
I was waiting for this impatiently. Until now it has not grabbed me like The Young Pope. However, probably it shows again what is going on behind the scenes within the Catholic Church. I had to watch it twice, because it is so dark and the actors are mumbling. With subtitles it became much clearer to me. I just hope that Lenny wakes up soon.
The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014)
Not as good as the book
I was looking forward to see the preview of this movie. I read the novel in a hurry before and it made me anxious to see the movie.
I still liked it and the actors were great, but the story did not live up to the novel.
In all I consider it a feel-good movie, worthwhile seeing it. Helen Mirren offered a great performance, as the other actors fit in well.
To summarize. the movie was entertaining, funny and brought two different worlds and cultures together.
I enjoyed the movie and did not think that it was too long, but I liked the novel and the ending of it better.
Mamma Gógó (2010)
so true,
This movie is so true showing the heartbreaking side of family members suffering from Alzheimers. Anybody who has no been in the same situation cannot relate to it how it destroys the family rather than the person suffering Alzheimers.
Worthwhile for anybody watching this movie who has a similar situation. You are not alone, as sad as it is.
The Alzheimers sufferers are even trickier and sometimes mean to their family, more as shown in this movie. It is a sad path of life. I can relate to this story or subject from own experience and I feel for the producer and his family.
