I love Emmy Rossum as Christine. Sarah is talented, but has too much vibratto at times.
I love Michael Crawford as the Phantom.
Gerard Butler is not much of a good singer, and he's really not intimidating or scary as the Phantom. He holds his own on the emotional angle, but he doesn't really look or sound the part, nor does he have the presence the character requires.

I saw Phantom on Broadway for the first time July 20th, 2006.
Howard McGillin was the Phantom that evening, Julie Hanson Christine.
I love Howard McGillin. He is one of my favorite Phantoms--he has place number two in my heart and it's his own special place because he was my first seeing-the-stage-show Phantom. (Michael will always be Erik to me, though)

Goddess Remembered (1989)
The Great Goddess Has Not Been Forgotten
"Goddess Remembered" is the first film in a three-part series which illustrates how the feminine divine was worshiped historically and how She is now returning to individual and collective consciousness. The viewer is taken on a tour of the time line of the Goddess' presence throughout human existence, from prehistoric Europe to the modern age all over the world. This is an extremely moving film which reveals that, although Western civilization's gradual increase in more warfare and switch to patriarchal social systems forced Her to veil Herself for centuries, the Goddess is indeed returning into many people's spiritual paths and practices.
While some are quick to point to historical inaccuracies, let it be remembered that this documentary is now decades old. Perhaps new knowledge has come to light that was not known at the time of the film's making. And perhaps those who are so quick to criticize have issues with things other than the film itself, for such criticisms are often woven in with statements which suggest attitudes of prejudice or outright hostility towards the movements of women's rights and women's spirituality.
This is a film for everyone with an open heart. No matter your gender, gender identity, social and political views, spiritual background, etc, if you have a heart open toward Mother Earth, the Divine Feminine, the Goddess, whatever you choose to call Her, this movie will move you and guide you on your spiritual path. It did for me. This film helped confirm what I'd always known in my heart--I am a Pagan, a servant of the Goddess and God. Blessed be!
Scrubs: My Musical (2007)
Awesome and Hilarious
This episode was hysterical. And I'm a huge fan of musicals, so to see this was great.
Everyone in the cast had surprisingly good voices (Kelso and Dr. Cox surprised me the most) and the songs were catchy and entertaining. The only way they could have made this better is if they parodied "The Phantom of the Opera", which I'm a huge Phan of, gotta love Michael Crawford!
I would have to say my favorite numbers are "Welcome to Sacred Heart" and "The Rant Song". In "Welcome to Sacred Heart", the singing and energy was great from the cast, as well as the choreography. "The Rant Song" was just hilarious--pure Dr. Cox comedy set to music.
Bravo to the "Scrubs" cast, and please, do another musical episode!
The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
Celebrate the Legend
Based on the Andrew Lloyd Webber stage musical, "The Phantom of the Opera" weaves the simple yet enriched love-triangle tale of Raoul Dee Changy, Christine Daae, and a man known only as "the Phantom"--a deformed musical genius who lives in the Paris Opera House.
Going into hiding there since he was a child because of his deformed face, the Phantom has since been teaching Christine how to improve her voice and in the process, he falls in love with her. Madness, murder, and "music of the night" are all entwined in this amazing version of the musical based on the novel by Gaston Leroux.
The cast was superbly selected (aside from the Phantom), the camera shots and costumes were spectacular, all in all, a wonderful film.
I didn't know much about the musical "The Phantom of the Opera" until I saw the film for the first time in my drama class. I was taken by storm and now am eagerly awaiting when the show will come anywhere near San Diego. Long live the Phantom!
