Nash Bridges: Impostors (1998)
Sammy Hagar's acting debut!
I've seen this episode several times before but never noticed that Sammy Hagar plays a bartender! Pretty cool! Made me think of Frank Zappa on Miami Vice!
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
An immediate classic!
I read some very negative reviews about this movie before I actually saw it. It is definitely a slower movie than previous Tarantino films. But I wonder how many yahoos panning this wonderful movie even remember, or were alive in the 60's? This movie is freaking amazing and I rarely am wowed by a movie. I will not give away anything, but this movie is a fun ride!
The Glorious Seven (2019)
Great indie action adventure!
I enjoyed this independently made movie about seven people faced with a seemingly endless number of enemies. Filmed in beautiful and exotic locations, this movie is exciting and has a good leading cast. Jerry Kwarteng is wonderful as the leader of the seven, and I look forward to seeing him in more roles in the future.
Deep Purple in Concert with the London Symphony Orchestra (2000)
A masterpiece!
I just saw this for the first time and was just blown away! This is a seamless blend of classical and rock music by the band that invented the genre. The orchestral portions of this concert were originally from DP's 1969 album, Concerto for Group and Orchestra. The original score was lost, and years later rewritten by Jon Lord and a Dutch fan who was a musical historian. We are lucky to be able to see this with the new, and re-energized DP lineup featuring guitar virtuoso Steve Morse of The Dixie Dregs. If you love DP, or classical music, or just want to see a large group of musicians at the top of their game, you will love this. Please don't listen to small minded wannabe critics who don't have an understanding for musical genius. This DVD is awesome!!!
