Shetland it isn't! This could have been good but the acting is so bad the storyline even worse. It's like it's written by and for children. I've watched all three episodes and fallen asleep through each one. I'm going to try the second series but I don't hold out much hope. It's a rainy day with nothing to do kind of show and if you want I catch up on lost sleep this will do it! To be honest I can't believe they bbc commissioned a second series! The acting in the second series is just as bat by the way. Aberdeen looks good though. And it doesn't look cheap production which is good. Someone else said there lots of Americanisms so it's maybe made for bbc America. If any Americans have worked in the oil industry in Aberdeen this will be a treat just for the location shots not the story lines!

I could honestly not listen to some parts of the awe inspiring footage for the shouting and wailing music. This type of music is so divisive I don't know why they didn't just use emotive classical music. It spoiled the whole documentary for me. What I did see with the sound turned down was amazing. The couple seem to have a death wish at times and are more thrill seekers than volcanologist. The footage they filmed is incredible though. To see the devastation volcanos wreck on human and animal life is heartbreaking. This is how our amazing planet began and to honour the death from our past we should do more to save our future.

My god those actors must be desperate. This is awful truly awful. Not sure it's meant to be funny but it's ludicrously amusing. Maybe funny peculiar more than funny haha.

Had great promise. Great cast and premise but my god I've seen more exiting snail trails. Couldn't bare it any more so gave up. Did something happen? Sadly I don't care.

It's silly nonsense but it's a fine way to pass a couple of hours. It's not trying to win an Oscar it's just trying to entertain and it does most of the time.

It's perfection! Every scene is like an old master perfectly staged. The acting is superb as is the directing costume everything. The only niggle I have it with hair and makeup. During the filming Kiera knightly had to have her hair cut for another movie so had to wear a wig. I've no idea why they couldn't gel the short layer up at the back. You can see it quite clearly under the wig. The wig by the way is great just that silly little layer sticking down at the back. It's annoying but it's still a10/10. I must have seen it 20 or more : o )

Anyone who has reviewed this and said that this is not tense is dead inside! This is tense. You have to wait til the tension builds but wait! I enjoyed it. The cast is great the acting is of course great and the story is good. The setting.....SPECTACULAR.

Well I liked it. Doesn't seem to be a popular opinion but I thought it was quite good and I'm really looking forward to seeing the next one!! Don't look at.

Boring! Annoying! Nonsense! It's awful but I have watch all of them in fast forward. I watch the first 2 mins then the last 2 mins. The contestants are annoying so are the panellist and as for Stacy Dooley OMG.

Just as good the third time. You pick up on more each time. Best series ever! Acting is sublime.

Really good but about 2 episodes 2 long. It's quirky complicated but fun. Just got bored in the middle.

Love this programme. There's something wonderful about people creating things. It's just magic!

Somebody tell me what the hell is going on. Weird weird weird and nonsense. Might even give it less than 5 but it's made me watch for 3 episodes so that's worth 5 stars I suppose.

Story is fine but no one can sing like judy garland so the fact that they tried was just an insult. Rene did a reasonable job at imitating her but he singing let the whole thing down

I'm on the second episode but not sure I'll continue as it just too weird. You need radar to follow the nonsense.

If someone watched this film and didn't know about radium and polonium they would thing that Marie and Pierre Curie we're monsters for discovering these elements. The discovery of these elements has saved more lives than they have killed. There was no need for the clumsy, sometimes fantastical story line that has no basis in truth, and poor confusing direction of the awful things that man did with these elements. We are not stupid! Hopefully one day we will get a well directed thoughtful story of the life of Marie Curie but this isn't it.

Why cancel so soon? Give it a longer run please it's really good!

Intriguing and well acted. Had me hooked from the first episode.

So many of this kind of shows just now. To stand out it would have to be well written and well acted sadly it's neither. The main character is laughable bad, Really bad acting, at first I thought it was a comedy

Fast pace and well thought out. Clever writing. Love Ioan but his acting style des leave a lot to be desired! he does over egg the pudding😂

Silly irreverent fun. I'm not American and not a Trump fan so love all the jibes at POTUS which are obviously aimed at Trump. I can understand Americans being a little over sensitive though, but seriously get over it and enjoy.
