This is truly an accurate rating smh

Warning: Spoilers
I went in due to the big names regardless of the low IMBD rating. I could not in good conscience not warn others. If you're bored, fine watch it. Remember you were warned. It's like they were hoping to make a cult classic and failed miserably. Wasted actors, as another reviewer claims is an understatement.

Many questions plagued my mind as I watched, the main one was is this a bone throwing opportunity for many of these once stellar now older actors? Val Kilmer is almost reminiscent of the doll on the tricycle from Saw.

Shiloh was not at his best here at all and there were way too many big names for this vignette. Gave me Go 1999 vibes with a taste of Goodfellas 1990.

I really wanted to love this.

Ah desperation

Could relate to this film in some ways sadly. I was a young single mom ans I felt the connection between the mom and daughter. Although I did not attempt to pimp myself out I did take on lucrative job positions that kept me away from my daughter at times. Garett Hedlund is an actor I've very much liked in general not knowing much about him other than him being father to Emma Roberts son. His portrayal choices have been intriguing. The movie kept my view and a surprising subtle portrayal by Mel Gibson, although memorable, Ryan Hurst rounded out the dramatic element of this film..title says it!!

Warning: Spoilers
PAM is the best character IMO she brings the comedy and drama in one with her cute petite self. At first Dani was my fav, then that faded. Then Karen, but I don't see a whole lot of range and comedy is lacking in most of the characters. All the men are terrible and sometimes more dramatic than the women. It's a show to play in the background or to pass the time when nothing else is on. Have forwarded past a lot of the episodes because found myself rolling my eyes or really annoyed. I'm not even going to bother with the spin off Zatima. I don't care for that couple or Karen and Aaron. I really wanted Karen and Zac to work things out.

What in the...
23 January 2023
I'm watching this on Netflix and it shows the 40s episode and then green, yellow, violet and now I'm on orange yet IMBD is showing the episodes differently by color. I was confused and something told me to check here and seems Netflix has screwed up the direction of the series. Which is correct? Do I watch the way IMBD has directed or Netflix? Am I actually asking random people this foolishness? Yes, because im stumped. Do I need to go watch a YT video to ex ppl win the direction of this kaleidoscope!?!?! Why do I still have 90 characters left to write for this to be a requirement. IMBD this is your clever way of getting short attention span folks or those who do not or did not intend to write a novel give up and not write anything. Oh how will I ever know if I can watch something if someone else doesn't tell me what they think of it first.

I felt this was necessary in the previous season to explain how Janine started out and feels like they are doing it again to show us how Julia ended up where she's at now. Won't give the place away. I'm curious if they plan to show us who Js dad is before they wrap. If they do it will be rushed. I'm going to miss this series and appreciated the first few seasons over the last 2. J went from saddened to plain cold. His issue is he feels he's the smartest so he should be boss and tries his damndest to pursue that only to be put in his place by his uncles.

I enjoyed the show and will continue to watch it if they renew it for another season. The casting and writing is good. I want another season, please do not cancel it. I'm not sure why some people want anymore with shows. This to me is rather creative take on monsters in the night. The mystery keeps me enthralled and what they have going for them. Give it a chance and keep watching.

Not grabbing me
2 February 2022
As another reviewer stated, too much is going on and feels a lot like click bait to me. That ending of Ep 1 I said out loud wtf, really?!?! What's going on? What's the show trying or wanting to be? I'm confused . Either way, I've like Marguerita since I seen her in Spread and then the TV show Revenge. The issue is she's beautiful woman albeit older and slender like a model and does the Nikita shtick well which may be why she got green-lit to do this series. The sci-fi aspect made me more than raise an eyebrow...and here I am writing this review while the series watches me. I'm on Ep 2 and going to my bed.

27 January 2022
Steve is the sweetest guy. I never really cared for Miranda. Why did the writers have to do him dirty smh Carrie did not need to wear those shoes to do labour. Her and Lilly are the worse characters in this reboot. I don't mind Charlotte.

My take so far: She should have known as soon as the plan was not carried out that this was his way to get evidence against her and real or not the hitman did the job he was hired to do. Only on episode 4 at this moment.

Something about it is...

Intriguing. I enjoyed season 1 and really hope they bring another season with the ending of the last episode. The dynamic between the four women feels authentic. ImSomehow find the story lines relatable even though have of them I've never experienced in my lifetime. I usually get turned off by LGBTQ story lines although not this time and find Tye is my favourite out of the 4 women.

Warning: Spoilers
Questions with this episode. Why didn't the teacher give detention to the kid who throws a coin and then proceeds to trip the main character. She also reprimands the girl barely and only Chucky is why she retracts her threat. This day and time forcing an individual to admit their sexual interest and acting like it's 1980s when this is accepted is confusing dialogue, what year is the suppose to be taking place in? What is Junior's issue? Appears to me that he's the one who is confused. Now don't get me wrong I'm enjoying the angle and take so far. Much better than I anticipated.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but it surprised me. I felt the intensity when I truly saw Dexter resurface in the first interaction with his victim. He tried his damn best to keep control and I could not blame him for his actions. He truly is a vigilant at heart with a serial killer tendency. An old favourite evolved! Glad I have this to watch while recovering from surgery. You have to know what you're watching to know I did not give too much away 😌

Warning: Spoilers
Love is really grating on my nerves and I want her in the cage now! I get that she sees someone turn on her or act like they won't say anything or do anything and she knows it's a lie. BUT you HAVE to clobber everyone, really?!?! If I were Joe I'd be terrified of her and here I thought he was the truly crazy one, this season proves otherwise. Well he is, but at least his reasoning is to save people from abusers and Love is just about saving herself. Her mother was right, selfish. The mother has nerve though as of child endangerment garners more visitation SMH Joe it's seem was looking for a true connection, until Marienne (which I don't think is a good relationship based on how it began) I hope Love gets institutionalized. I don't think someone who has lack of control over their impulses deserves to be in the regular world.

17 September 2021
This episode was well directed and acted. Lily Rabe stands out overall with Sarah Paulson close behind. I went through the 7 stages of grief watching this episode. Alma is the epitome of narcissism, episode is called Gaslight for a reason. Is it terrible that I want her killed? Her acting is that good. How could she do that to her mother and brother? I kept saying aloud to the screen, "you little piece of sh..."

The Guilty (2021)
Cannot rate this Hollywood remake SMH
16 September 2021
Haven't seen this and don't care about the back lash I receive because I'm so irritated that I'm compelled to write this...immediately thought why are you doing this Hollywood?!?! Ruin another great international film and embarrass yourself to what end?!?! I actually love Jake Gyllenhaals' acting. However, I was blown away by the Danish film found by searching through overlooked and many trailers of foreign films in 2018. Recommended it to others that equally shared my feelings. I didn't care that I had to read subtitles, I find these films done better and well acted than most English speaking movies. How many times do you try your hand at a remake before realizing you are no match against the original? Not saying it will be terrible, but I don't see the point in taking it in unless I'm bored. All I'll be doing is comparing the 2 films like I did with the Girl Who series. If you want to watch this version don't bother watching the original and if you do and find something wrong with it,then you are the reason why Hollywood remakes movies. Don't be a dummy downer.

That's the first line of the song in the closing credits and that says it all. I would have ended it like a crime thriller instead of where it went ruining its potential for a higher rating.

Perhaps this is why movies are made...
21 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
In real life nobody could truly make these same decisions, especially parents. There are some holes and wondered if certain things were really the truth. Did the daughter feel like she was in a best friend bully type of relationship or was that really her rebellion to go along with that lie? Of course the daughter deals with abandonment issues, however right away I felt it what was up. Then seeing some evidence knew what took place did not actually. You'll understand what this means if you watch. As one reviewer stated, What would I do? Not what they did. I'd have to turn my daughter in and then deal with the consequences and if you watch the movie you will see if they went that route it could have worked as well smh a good one time watch. I enjoyed the escape

Warning: Spoilers
Why is it so easy to believe a man can play this role and when it's a woman, it's unbelievable? I found most of it believable. She disappeared for years clearly to train for her revenge, it didn't just happen in a matter of weeks like other revenge movies. A flash back of her time MIA shows her taking a beating, shows she learned to take blows and get back up. Adrenaline is fuel and most of us barely experience it to this extent to know our capabilities. What I found unbelievable was she survived the first shooting and came out of the coma with full knowledge and her capabilities. Good watch. It was nice to see Jennifer reminding me of her Alias days in this role and she's the perfect woman to take on this role that finally flipped genders in Hollywood.

Believable and unbelievable at times
13 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Believable that the wife would get caught up into an affair due to boredom in her regular life. The husbands behaviour was out of character yet shows his possession of the wife. He mentions at one point when she visits him at work that, "I can do what I want because I'm the boss." Her son is 8 and what does she do all day, go to galleries and auctions. The train scene made this film because you actually get to feel what she feels. Then the confrontation between husband and wife where he reveals its her he really wanted to hurt was intense. The movie claiming Paul/Oliver is 18 or early twenties is not believable. Late twenties early thirsties. He's a year younger than Diane Lane. Richard Gere looks great in this being 53 at the time. What was believable to me that another reviewer felt was not, is how one could get hurt from a snow globe, well good quality ones are heavy and made of actual glass.

Not like the 1st more on par with the 2nd
31 March 2020
The first instalment was my favourite. The chemistry between the leads and supporting leads was felt in that one which is one of the reasons it made it great, In this one unfortunately Will Smiths love interests didn't connect well on screen. The rest of the movie was the usual and what I expected. I laughed a lot so that's why I gave it a 6 and the scenes still had a Michael Bay vibe even though he played a small cameo and didn't direct. Clearly there's a 4th instalment coming and none of this can be misconstrued as spoilers when it's all in the trivia section.

What?!
7 March 2020
Hoping one reviewer is wrong in their assumption that this season is a waste of time when it hasn't even reached its tenth episode. What makes this series good, it shows you something unbelievable to make you understand that the individual has suffered from major PTSD without aid. It's a mystery you get to watch unravel or solve on your own while you watch how it all plays out.

The mystery is what will capture you
7 March 2020
After the first season, I took in the second not yet understanding that the show would give me the same feeling of confusion and a back story that would unravel as to the why. This show has kept me interested based on It following the same script and one I easily gravitate to. Now I'm on the 3rd and intrigued by what Matt Bomers' character has to offer to this series. Pullmans' quirkiness alone is what has kept me watching.

What in the world???
9 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't know if this was a crime-thriller, supernatural or drama. It was mish-mash of it all. The musical score was terrible in almost every scene. Writing and directing there are no words. John Shea is definitely not a director or writer I'd ever watch again. Then he had to appear in it as well smh Dane needs to stick to TV or needs a better script. I wonder if this caused this divorce between him and Gayheart

Why did I bother?
12 January 2020
This is one of those movies I passed by many times on Netflix because I had feeling it would suck, well it did and should have stuck with my gut. The story is convoluted and at the beginning you will try to figure out all the players and the plot. There's no feeling with anything that takes place, just a brunch of random events connected, but not enough to make you care for anyone. The Fishburne intimate scenes were so off putting and not even pleasing to the eye. Feel like I'm blind now like how Al Bundy use to feel when he'd get any glimpse of Marcy next door.
