Journey to Bethlehem (2023)
Offensive!
Any person with the slightest knowledge of Christianity will be offended by such a despicable depiction!!!
Offensive! Offensive! Offensive!
Whoever wrote this did not bother to take any time to read the historical, biblical and theological and extensive writings on this topic. The people who put this together are misogynistic and anti-Christian to say THE LEAST!
They hate TRADITION, TRUTH & LOVE because this is not based on any well studied facts. It is indeed a mockery of religion and of women.
Disgusting!
Terribly produced.
Who did they think would be attracted to a movie about the Birth of Christ and all the events around it?
Who did they think would be their audience?
How did they convince this many actors and production staff to participate in such a despicable depiction?
The only ones that would find this entertaining is an ignorant person that hates Christianity and is mocking religion and mocking women!
Offensive! Offensive! Offensive!
Intimidad (2022)
It gets worse
It started out in a fascinating and captivating manner. It ended HORRIBLY! Every female character is weak and disgusting and all the men are degraded. ALL of them! The last 2 episodes were HORRIBLE! There was no REAL justice and an example of why the world is in such a disgrace. I wish it would have ended differently.
Wasp Network (2019)
Communist propaganda!
Up is down and down is up.
The good are the villains in this backwards movie that distorts truth into a story that REAL Cubans on and off the island find outrageous. Americans, don't fall for this GARBAGE!
The Chair (2021)
The Chair that falls apart.
The story opens with The new Asian-American female Chair, of the literature department sits on her desk chair and it falls part, metaphor for the story of the main character's new position & life is an accurate portrayal for this show. It fell apart.
Holland Taylor was absolutely amazing! Brilliant! She deserves an award for her performance! All my favorite scenes & the best lines where hers. When the professor slaps her bottoms and says "you still have the best ass" and she replies with a roll of the eyes and a cool, collected & smart "I can't say the same for you" LOVED it! But throughout the story her character is more fully developed & portrayed.
As does the little girl who plays JuJu. She is SO darn cute & adorable and portrays her character very naturally & with so much maturity. Very complex character for a child to portray so convincingly & captivating manner. Although she has more the cynicism of a teenager than a child, you could still see her innocence & joy for life peeking through.
This show made me glad that I am NOT at university right now because the students are SO annoying & the professors are a bunch of self interested whimps, victims of the monsters of their own making. The students were so poorly portrayed. Very superficial performances, Caricatures. For a show that takes place in a University, it failed to connect with ANY of the students. The daughter that was inserted in the beginning of the show gives one a false hope & impression of what we were about to see. Even the Grandfather that barely speaks English was more interesting and better developed & performed than the students that looked more like a bunch of simple minded obnoxious middle school rebellious teens than actual curious, serious & intellectual twenty year olds embarking on the most formative experiences of their adult (eye roll) lives. Pathetic.
Very good performance by most of the main characters but the writing was a little weak and failed to fully connect. The title & the trailers were a bit misleading & the show was hugely disappointing.
Roe v. Wade (2019)
Disappointed
This movie has some very good performances mixed in with mediocre ones. We needed this movie to be made but we also needed this movie to be made
Exceptionally well as the bias media would not be moved otherwise. Sadly this movie is not. It had so much potential but it comes short and I am not exactly sure how it could have been made better. It is still worthwhile to watch and if it even opens the minds & hearts of one person then it is worthwhile. We need to have another movie about Dr. Mildred Jefferson, a true hero who does not get enough credit & attention, many do not even know her name. Watch it and enjoy it but do not expect to be impressed, just mildly entertained and perhaps if you are not well informed on the topic you will learn some new facts.
Things Heard & Seen (2021)
Starts off great, and then....
Starts off great with many little details tying the story together but then the ending is a HUGE disappointment, as if the writer had a deadline to meet & just wiped their hands, threw them
Up in the air and said,The End. 👎🏼
I Care a Lot (2020)
Not a comedy! Action Drama
If you are expecting to self identify with ANY of the characters you will be greatly disappointed. Throughout the movie most of the time you are rooting for an evil gangster to win. There are many great actors who performed very very well. The costumes, hair and makeup are very good. But you have to go in with an open mind to enjoy the movie. I don't know what sick mind considers this a comedy but I did not laugh at point. Although some of the scenes are absolutely ridiculous but not ridiculous to make one laugh. It stirs the emotions and one's perspective. You are seriously rooting against the main character the entire time. You will not identify with any of the characters. There is a strong lack of feminine characters. There is a lot of information in the details of the story, as a viewer I enjoyed that. The costumes, the sets, lots of little details that reveal the true point of the movie. At the end, NO ONE wins. And that is why we see so many poor reviews. This story defies the expectations we all have of why we watch movies. If you are expecting a comedy, you will absolutely hate it. If you are expecting to root for the "good guy" or any of the characters you will absolutely hate it. If you are expecting a hero or a happy ending you will absolutely hate it. Expect to be entertained with a story that is sadly very reflective of our wayward society.
