Along Came Polly (2004)
It would have been an alright movie...
The movie was okay, until Phillip Seymour Hoffman came on---then the whole movie went downhill. His disgusting behavior/lines in the flick just make you want to vomit. It ruined the whole movie--making me NOT see any future films that he may be involved in.
We feel sorry for Jennifer Aniston, having to play against something like that. Her other movies have been so good. And Hank Azaria really should have kept his pants on. Otherwise the movie was one of those kinda funny/kinda not Ben Stiller films. Coming across Hoffman in Cold Mountain was just as pathetic and disgusting. He should give us back our money for having to pay to see such garbage. Never again.
The Cosby Mysteries (1994)
This was a great show! Why was it taken off the air?
Mystery shows are always good. This show was one of the best. Just as Diagnosis Murder, and Murder She Wrote kept you guessing, so did this series. It had a great ensemble cast, with Bill Cosby in the lead. Cosby is good in anything he does, and this is no exception. I had heard when it went off the air, that someone had told Cosby that he should never have made a mystery series?!? Shame on them! Just like all the great crime/mystery dramas of the 70's, if they brought it back tomorrow, I'd definitely watch it, just as I had watched every episode back then. Bravo to all the cast on a great ensemble, and definitely an all-around great show!
Airplane! (1980)
One of the best all-time, roll with laughter movies!
If you really need a good laugh out loud movie, to make you feel good, this is one of them! The 1st time we saw this movie, on cable, not long after it came out, we were rolling with laughter! This movie was one of the all-time best, with Lloyd Bridges, and that crazy air traffic controllers' scenes were the funniest. With every line of the movie having a comeback, and another meaning--this movie ranks up there with the pool scene in Caddyshack as one of the best--you're rolling with laughter! With Lloyd Bridges slowly going insane throughout the movie, with an all-star cast including Robert Hayes, very funny, they even had Ethel Merman doing a cameo, (not long before her death), it was hilarious. Even the sequel came out to be as good as the original.
