Vinland Saga: Way Home (2023)
Who's cutting onions???
The beauty of this anime continues to leave me speechless. Episode after episode I'm left feeling so many different emotions that it makes my head spin. This particular episode is another perfect example of the purpose art serves in our lives. Art is way to make the soul tangible. If the artist chooses to share their work with the world, art is also a way to let people see the darkest and brightest parts of themselves. Thank you Makoto Yukimura for sharing Vinland Saga with the world. I'm 25 years old and this anime will always hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life. I realize that the series is far from over, but I just had to get this off my chest.
Planetes: Boundary Line (2003)
Stunning
What an incredibly beautiful and inspiring piece of art. You know a tv show is good when it makes you feel something real. This episode did that for me. Beautiful writing from Yukimura that showcases the human instinct of building borders, mentally and physically, for protection and for exclusion. The manifestation of dreams, however, can transcend any border. Love and friendly cooperation can accomplish so much no matter where you are, not only for yourself but for unborn generations to come. Innovation and discovery aren't attainable for everyone, but innovation and discovery can come from anywhere.
Vinland Saga: End of the Prologue (2019)
God Tier Ending
When do I ever write a review? Never. When do I make an exception? For masterful artwork like this. RARELY do you ever see a story as gorgeously crafted as Vindland Saga. Watching this season has been a privilege. Anyone who watches this will be doing themselves a huge favor. To say that I'm ready for another season is an understatement. Is it possible to to make another season as good or better than the first? Only time will tell.
