For the love of....
30 October 2023
Time to stop, enough already. Gather the remaining zombies and let them retire gracefully. This 'golden child' storyline is, in itself, a zombie, it just keeps coming back. Norman Reedus trudges through this like Elvis at his last concert through a Paris that seems to, coveniently, have more English speaking French after the apocalypse than before. Please, bury the Walking Dead, these spinoffs carry no weight. You've already made soup over and over again from the carcass of this zombie turkey. Is there really such a shortage of talented writers? What's next, Cooking with Carol? Michonnes - all about scrapbooking, Grimes in the garden. Please stop.

Typical 2020s flatness
14 June 2023
1. Why does Common keep getting roles, he can't act and just gums up narrative.

2. Why can't these streaming platforms have consistent suspense and quality.. All the action in part 1 and 2 then.... Dull flashbacks.

3. 'The breakthrough moment' that OMG IT WAS... moment.. is pretty obvious from the first episode.

4. The bleakness of it all. Is this how "the future's so bright" will look.

5. The one dimensional acting of Iain. Glen adds nothing to any series.

All in all this is another pile that, back in the day, would have been a failed pilot or a 'straight to video' at best. All that money and production quality. This is what Apple is good at.

What a pile

Absolute trash. How on earth did this amateur dramatics rubbish get made. Do not bother. I have never seen a film this bad, honestly.. It makes Sharknado look like Gandhi. Gibson and the crew gave the most OTT performance I've ever seem. I am truly shocked by the quality of this. I know Gibson is on his way out but this was a big nail in a career coffin that should have been buried years ago. Fake acting, bad effects, the tension of a perished rubber band. The only spoiler would be if this was the last film you ever saw. I was hoping that the obvious was not the obvious and was a red herring and there would be a crooked plot twist but no. Set in a radio station, maybe this should have bern a radio play.

Butterfly, Himmelstoss and Paul's leave..?
29 October 2022
Not allowed spoilers. Key points from the book and original film are not in this version. I have no problem with 'abridged' versions but to miss points that, quite frankly, are essential in emphasising the difference between patriotism and reality is just stupid. Why do film makers do this? I had expected more from this. We've waited long enough for a new version but a new version that omits essential symbolism, why? The acting is great, the effects are superb. As a stand alone WW1 film, I would be giving it a 10 but it is based on a classic book, one of the greatest books of all time, sorry, it's a 4.

I am tired of being labelled a transphobic by people that hate being labelled. This just shows us how stupid and dangerous the whole thing is. An absolute genius documentary about how I feel and the frustration of being treated like I'm the Gr4nd Wizard of the 'you know what'. Children are bein abused in the name of transgender.

This is horror on the same line as The VVitch and Midsommar. Slow, atmospheric and to be discussed after the skin crawling unease has subsided. A classic. The 'a group of teenagers night of terror' crowd, need not apply. A classic, true horror.

Star Trek TOS did silly, kitschy humour in the 60s because it was a silly, kitschy time. These characters are not good enough to carry it off.. A 'jump the shark' episode at this stage of a new series does not bode well.

Señor Chang is the Jar Jar Binks og Community
24 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
80s humour done well but Señor Chang is annoying, you remember that unfunny kid at school, he didn't make you laugh or just carried the joke beyond funny. It is a shame this would have been a 10.

Just another bad Buck Rogers meets Star Trek episode.
10 June 2022
Bring it back and we get this. Where has the Orville gone. Such a shame. I don't think I broke a smile. It is odd, because the new Star Trek Strange new worlds is bringing back the humour of the original series and the Orville has lost it. Oh well, not a good start.

A WEEDIO!!

David Hoyle is art. One of the best shows to come out of C4. A chance was given for other Avant Garde artists to showcase their 'wares'. La Ribot, Sexton Ming, it's all there. Then we have Mr Hoyle, a comedy genius, poet and walking work of art. He has paved the way for performers and was the YouTube of the late 90s (a lot more entertaining) I have been watching this brief series, on an off for over 20 years. Please give it a view.

The Office set in a prison with over the top cringey characters, some of which are played by Catherine Tate.. I wouldn't have given it any time before I knew of Catherine Tate, I certainly won't now. The Netflix bucks bug strikes again.. Don't bother.

I fell for the fake reviews.
19 March 2022
Scenery is stunning, the acting is very 'Mark Borchardt' . So sad because the start was promising and then the 'reason for the runaway' scene began.. Oh dear. It's annoying because the scenery and cinematography are really good but the rest is very "Hey let's make a movie". Your Gran might enjoy this.

Stop knocking this down.
5 April 2021
TWD fans will never get that feeling back. The feeling of "WOW". These are spin offs, looking at the world of the dead from a different POV. TWD dropped us straight into the world of the walkers, FEAR, tried, to get us to view it from the POV of a family, a sound idea but poorly executed because the makers had already hit the ground running with TWD. They were hoping that our humanity would get us to view FEAR differently. Now, FEAR is pretty much TWD, with crossover characters.

Now we have World Beyond, kids that know little else than the world of the dead. This is their viewpoint. No it isn't TWD and it is a limited season release. Watch this for what it is, not for what went before.

It is cliché after cliché after cliché. It really is as bad as the bad reviews say. I ignore reviews usually but this is a waste of time.

Why I hate this fantastic series.
14 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It has everything, thrills, action, suspense. It is one of the best things for a long time and I HATE IT!!!!! The voices of the 2 actresses that play her daughters are so annoying, not slightly but it is like having a mosquito slowly die in your ears. Such a shame, you just get into this and BANG!! the 'squeeky valley girls' return.

This is not a gangster film.
22 May 2020
There is some action, violence and suspense but 80% of the film is about a bad man realising the effects of his life through the evil gift of dementia. Why the bad ratings? Tom Hardy is Oscar worthy.

I love the 'hate' reviews on here 😂
2 May 2020
No, it is not a horror per se. It is a dream for some and a nightmare for others. It is about embracing the beauty and brutality of nature that go hand in hand 24/7. If you are looking for a "A group of teenagers get more than they bargained for" type horror film... Jog on. If you want a trip into the the things we take for granted and be amazed at its power, watch and enjoy.

Who is giving this 10? Helen Keller?
17 January 2020
Truly dire. I thought Mrs Brown's boys was the bottom of the BBC comedy barrel but they scraped through the bottom and came up with this drivel. Unfunny, and only liked by the cast and people who fall off of their chairs laughing at Christmas cracker jokes.

Guys... This is a Jarmusch film..
1 September 2019
Seriously, stop whining on about "walking out", "wanting that part of your life back etc etc. Metaphors and commentary, that is a Jarmusch film and if you poor souls were misled by zombie content? Then this film is doing exactly what its supposed to do. If you are a fan of his films, you'll get it, if not, stay home and knock one off to TWD.

Oh dear
23 June 2014
Here's the thing, insulting a fan made project is like telling a parent that their kid's painting on the fridge is crap.. The effects are very good but the acting... oh the acting !!! It is awful. I tried so hard to get into this. I like the Star Trek, old school stuff but this is not good.. The acting destroys any good that the effects bring. I am sorry, you get 10/10 for effort but it just isn't supposed to be.. Sorry. I would like to thank you for trying but please do not try anymore. I would like to see this picked up and redone, the idea is sound. Would love to know how this is funded, there must be some rich Trekkies out there.

Self indulgent clap trap
25 September 2008
This is a piece of self indulgent rubbish that only attracts other self indulgent people (hence the appearance of Mr Tarantino). This film is also loved by Manga geeks that think the genre can pan out in a 'live action noodle western'. The fact that the entire cast had elocution lessons from the 'Backward, forward speaking Dwarf' from Twin Peaks and the wardrobe advice from a misguided Japanese tourist should put you off even picking up this piece of trash. If you want to see a good western, get the Leone ones. I predict that this film will be in the bottom of the Bargain bins before I finish typing this. Any film with the line ''Do her here, upsteeaaars'' firmly belongs in a recycle bin. Don't buy or rent this rubbish.

Robert Jensen is a patronising idiot
1 June 2007
The man firmly belongs on a 1980s prank radio show, I doubt it but I hope he reads this. 'In the kingdom of the blind, the one eyed man is king'' and this is so true, the quality of Dutch TV is so poor so it is no wonder that the Dutch rave about this inept imbecile. I had the gross misfortune to see this fool patronising two Primordial Dwarfs, it was so sickening to watch this man asking stupid questions to these brave people. The name ''lul'' is Dutch insult (look it up if you must) and this firmly applies to this man, he has the interviewing technique of a horny male rhino chasing a female. He must go home at night, check his bank balance and and widen his eyes in disbelief. Too many people rage on about these instant fame seekers (Idols, Fame Academy, X factor) and how they should work to get to the top, well Jensen has had years to perfect his profession, but he is still a useless figure head for the inept. Get him off TV for the sake of the few intellectuals that scan the Dutch channels. You can see it on the faces of his International guests, they think to themselves ''is he the best that this land has to offer''? He thinks, as do his many viewers, that the guests are worried that he may pull one of his totally non funny pranks, it's not that, they just think he is a total fool. Dutch people please please please, stop trying to be like other people of the world and just try to be yourselves, you cannot rap, you are musically bereft and your TV sucks donkey do and you certainly cannot do American style talk shows, there is only one thing you can compare Jensen to, it's inanimate, it smells and it comes out of the non talking end of a bull.

Solaris after a lot of vodkas and those special mushrooms
13 July 2006
Watch this film knowing it's a pile of rubbish and you realise how good it is. Communism was a strange thing, it did not want their people to stray to the decadent west, so they tried to do there own sci fi epics. I have a communist cuckoo clock, it is a very naked, plain non Bavarian cuckoo clock with a plastic cuckoo, but it was made so that there people had no reason to envy the west and this is another ''cuckoo clock'' it has a bald woman, a robot that is made out of various laundry containers turned upside down with odds and ends stuck on it, maybe bits of my cuckoo clock as well (obsessed or what). I won't explain the plot, but if you enjoyed Solaris, The singing ringing tree etc then get this if you can.

Land of the Dead the musical
23 January 2006
I have had a sneak preview of the opening number, it's a big musical opening.

Oh my God I think I am Dead There's puss flowing from my head

I'm shuffling through death as I did in life

Let's go and have some Fun And eat up everyone

Can't wait to rip the throat out my ex wife.

And so on and so forth, this is more a love story, between a handsome young man ad a festering sore ridden stink wretch of a zombie, our hero comes across an id card in the Zombies handbag and realises that he has fallen in love with his own Mother, but could not recognise her due to the decomposition.. The musical ends with the lovely heart wrenching (literally) ballad, Don't fall apart on me now.. Enus P Wigley has been pencilled in for the lead and Joan Rivers may play the love interest (it's easier on the make up budget). Can't wait to see this when it's ready, some say it may be as popular as the musical ''Oh Osama'', but let's wait and see.
