If you read the reviews of this page in chronological order you will quickly notice that most bad reviews are old while new reviews praise the show. Not hard to figure out that the show has really improved since the pilot.

Like most CW shows it is easy to underestimated, more so due to the misleading early promos and erroneous expectations.The show is nothing like the original BATB from the 80s, it is not a fairy tale either and it is not a comic-book nor a sci-fi show. That DOES NOT mean that it is a bad show at all!

The writers of BATB have worked on shows like Felicity, Brothers & Sisters and Everwood... so that is the type of show you should expect. A show where characters are well portrayed and relatable, where relationships have depth and are constantly evolving and plots move quickly without stalling. In addition to all that there are some veiled sci-fi elements and police procedural structure which are incorporated to the story seamlessly.

Yes, it had a slow start. I did not care much for the pilot or the first couple of eps, but once the stories were on track they never stopped! The misleading name, unrepresentative promos and early bad reviews may be alienating a lot of viewers but it is most definitely a show worth watching.

I liked this movie, I haven't seen many national films, but the ones I've seen haven't been very good or real. This one on the other hand, I believe, reflects very well reality. I've been there... asking for an American Visa and even though I only wanted to visit the country I did feel like they were treating me as a criminal, and I know many stories of people who are desperate for getting a Visa. The actors did a very good job, and I appreciate the effort they put into the accents even though they weren't perfect. It was a simple storyline, but sometimes that works in movies. The characters were very believable and it was easy to relate to them.

I was very young back then when I watched this show, but I remember that it was one of my first TV addictions. After that followed Dark Angel, Alias, Lost and most recently Prison Break. Ocean girl was into that category somehow. It was intriguing and the audience didn't know the deal most of the times. Back then I was totally into that show. It was actually pretty interesting for being a kid's show. The plot lines were twisted and the characters were compelling. I also remember the cast changing a lot, but that kept it interesting. Also the actress that played the lead was great on that role, I wonder whatever happened to her. I would watch it any time again if I have the chance and I highly recommend it.
