Against All Enemies (2023)
Not achieving its goal.
Nice try. Really disapointed by this, however. Although it may scare some in a good way, the documentary gave way too much air time to white supremacists without discrediting their beliefs with facts. It almost serves as an Internet favorites list for radicals.
One thing is for sure: listening radicals expressing their views and opinions without equally powerful counterarguments doesn't help. Any fool without critical thinking abilities could simply fall for the white supremacists' arguments.
I'm scared of how MAGA and their supporters will react if they win the next election; even more so if they lose. That's as long as there is an election.
Mission: Impossible (1996)
Entertaining, but an insult to intelligence.
Interesting plot; lots of action; beautiful European locatons. However, some things in the movie really threw me off. For instance, how can someone jump from a high-speed moving vehicle and land precisely on a spot without experiencing momentum? Tired of those stupid masks which are, in this case, readily available for someone new. Wouldn't they take days, weeks, or even months to make (granted they could work at all)? Where does the MI crew store their production equipment?
I love action movies, but this one was simply an insult to me. I have always enjoyed watching Ethan Hunt and his budding find dangerous, high-tech solutions to situations, but this one disrespects basic laws of physics. I'm out!
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
Before bashing, watch again!
The more I watch this episode, the more I'm convinced that Bran took control of the dragon to melt the Iron Throne. There are clues to support my theory: First, Bran said that he'd try to locate the animal. Re-watch to find some other clues.
This finale was very philosophical. The discussion that Jon and Tyrion had in the latter's cell was key. The speach about a "good story" (or "idea") Tyrion gave before saying Bran should be king was just as important.
If you wanted the final glory of this last season to fall into the shoulders of a fighting man, you haven't watched the same series I have. This series was all about family, not always taking things for what they appeared to be; about characters not being always doing just good or just bad.
What Men Want (2019)
Feel-good movie. I liked it.
I wasn't sure about the movie, at first. The main character was getting on my nerves. She was supposed to, I guess. The more I watched the movie, the more I found it had good values to transmit. Ended up having a good time. Will not rank as a classic, I know, but still worth the watch.
