Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Nice way to go out
As critical as we all have been of George Lucas, he is still guilty of several things, giving too much credence to what the fans say, catering to the merchandising agendas, etc. However, Episode III is a classic piece of movie making, and should be looked at as such.
The only real flaw is the dialogue, which has always plagued the series. But even with dialogue, it takes ACTING to lessen the blows of chunky exchanges between characters. We sympathize with Anakin, we somehow understand what he goes through, to paraphrase the late Rodney Dangerfield, "not getting no respect at all." Best character in the movie is Obi-Wan/Ewan McGregor. He delivers his lines and acts in a way that transcends the movie, making him the character to latch onto, to feel with.
And just on a side note, Hayden Christansen did look (the hair), like someone who could be Darth Vader. He just looked tougher haha. Wonderful job of tying up the universes story. Probably the best movie I've seen since "Empire"
Hendrix: Band of Gypsys (1999)
Not that bad
This really isn't what you'd expect. its not so much a concert video, as it is a story of the concert. they splash parts of Hendrix playing "who Knows" And most of "Machine Gun," but its more about how Eddie Kramer mixed it later, and the impact it had. Not really all that bad, but hey, what can ya say. it's Hendrix. The greatest guitar player ever. had there been an actual video of the concert (well both of them, he did play two sets that night), this would be a lot better. It's always a little interesting to hear what people have to say about Hendrix. No one ever says he was difficult, just an addict, which is the saddest thing. If you're a Hendrxi fan like myself, you'd love it. Otherwise, just buy the Band of Gypsys and Live at The Fillmore records, turn it up and learn it front and back
