Dredd (2012)
9/10
Tense, fun, and action packed. Better then most comic book adaptations
18 January 2013
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. The movie is entertaining and fast paced and a much needed improvement over the first Judge Dredd movie in 1995 (although I still mildly enjoyed that one as well) Its got all the ingredients for good time. Its got a great dose of tension and action something I think the original was lacking. The plot is not intricate at all which I think plays greatly to Judge Dredds character and setting. Albeit it isn't an original concept, he fights his way through a number of baddies while in a large tower building (recent reviewers keep calling this a Raid: Redemption ripoff which isn't entirely true since both could be ripoffs of Die Hard if you actually consider this a ripoff). Despite all of the other negative reviewers nitpicks the movie is still engaging and fun and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Judge Dredd, action or sci fi/fantasy.

P.S. People need to get over the whole originality issue. I mean how many movies do you think are really that different and original than other ones.

People need to stop over-analyzing everything.
9 January 2012
I enjoyed it. Im not saying its a masterpiece but it was interesting and it produced laughs. The story may seem far-fetched at times but thats something I think TV shows nowadays seem to avoid. Its nice to see something a little different for once. Not every show starts out great either. The first season of Parks and Recreation wasn't anything special but look at it now. A few characters seem a little one dimensional but if the series continues to grow that can easily be rectified. My only problem with the show maybe would be the gullibility of a couple of the characters. Specifically Todd and the cafe owner, Todd at first seems to accept anything dave has to say. Which seems ridiculous to me but I guess thats what makes his character interesting aside from his compulsive need to lie when he doesn't have the right solution. I probably rambled a little but its late, bottom line its a worth a shot and it won't bore you.

I love This Movie
16 September 2006
I really do... I don't know how to explain why I just do. I don't know if everyone knows the history of this movie but it is the end or new beginning of a TV show called Firefly. Before I saw this movie I wouldn't have cared to see the show at all. But now that I own this movie I have watched it a couples of times. Most movies after watching them a few times you can get kinda bored with the movie or end up hating them. Well I don't feel that way with this movie. To me it is a new, refreshing movie that helps Sci-fi movies look even better. Oh god this movie is fun it's got the action, romance, uh zombies I mean that's all you need right? Oh and it's even got comedy and not that stupid "Dude Where's My Car?" humor.

Catwoman (2004)
1/10
I felt pain as I watched this....
10 February 2006
This is among the most dreadful and crappy movies I have ever seen. I mean it for the rest of this entire comment I feel like saying that this movie could have sparked motivation to commit suicide but there are too many movies out there to see to do that. Almost every line in the entire script is corny as hell and made me want to pull my hair out. In the beginning of the movie it actually showed signs of MEDIOCRITY but once it reached the point when Halle Berry's character was into the whole Catwoman personality it just reached full-fledged crap. I fell like saying it again I know this isn't a great comment but this movie just sucks.

The Best of Akira Kurosawa
28 May 2005
Well first off I just have to say that Akira Kurosawa is one of the most brilliant directors ever. His work is incredible each and every movie never the same and yet having a lot of the same actors. Not a lot of people could handle doing that. Seven Samurai though would have to be Akira Kurosawa's greatest work. The pace of the movie is put together greatly making you want to see what will happen next.

Akira alongside his faithful actor Toshiro Mifune make this movie a great buy or watch and is worthy of being on any list of the greatest movie out there. The movie may seem long but the ending is worth the wait and the humor that holds the movie together is just as good. I would give this movie a ten out of ten.10/10
