Jackass 2.5 (2007)
Doesn't live up to the hype.
First off, let me say that I'm a huge Jackass fan. I have been since the first episode aired on MTV in 2000. I remember seeing both Jackass movies in the theaters and loved them both. They were hysterical. So, when I heard there was a web-only release of a new Jackass film I was very, very excited.
Well I just finished watching the film and, I must say, I was quite disappointed. When watching you must keep in mind that what you are seeing were scenes that wound up on the cutting-room floor from the second film. The stunts are kind of boring. The cast lacks their usual enthusiasm. And it looks like age, money, and fame have had their effects on the entire crew.
When Jackass first started it was a bunch of guys who no one knew and and had no money. Just doing stunts for the fun of it. Now you watch and it seems like they're washed-up, old, and just out to make a few more bucks.
I'm optimistic that the newly announced Jackass 3 will get back to the roots of the original show. But, as for Jackass 2.5, I was thoroughly disappointed.

Greatest Casting in Cinematic History!
I consider myself an average movie fan. My DVD collection is modest, about 125 titles, but nothing compared to the thousands that my friends have. I'd rather watch the news or a documentary than a fictitious film, so I was skeptical when a friend from work recommended this movie and told me that it was one of the greatest of all time. I ventured to the video store that night and, with reservations, found the movie on the shelf and checked it out. Fast forward three hours...
This movie is perfect in every aspect. It has great directing, excellent casting, magnificent dialogue, great music, the whole package. Every actor does a superb job in their role and you feel like you really get to know the main characters. This is by far the best Tarantino movie of all. I'm not sure why this movie is not in the IMDb "Top 250", I guess its because it is relatively unknown.
I beg you, please see this movie. You will absolutely not be let down. I have recommended this movie to many friends and family members and, so far, I've not had one person say that they were disappointed. This is not "Reservior Dogs" or "Pulp Fiction", its a modern love story (not a sappy, tear-jerker), mixed with hard-core action, and gangsters.
Prior to seeing this movie I always said that "Lonesome Dove" and "The Godfather" tied for my favorite movie of all time.... However, after seeing this film, it is now a three-way split.

Do Not Waste Your Time
This is quite possibly the WORST movie in the history of cinema. At least in the echelons of major motion pictures. It almost makes you wonder if Nicholas Cage was in dire need of money, which is the only reason I can fathom that he would accept such a horrible role. I am actually a Nick Cage fan. I loved "The Rock", "Gone in 60 Seconds", and about 10 other movies of his that are some of my all-time favorites, but his reason for accepting this role is a real puzzler.
The script is ridiculous and extremely confusing. The story lines are never explained, which leaves you scratching your head. The casting was pathetic. The acting was laughable. The entire movie was one big waste of 2 hours of my life.
I am honestly considering writing a letter to Millennium Films and ask that they somehow refund the 2 hours of my life I wasted by watching this "movie".
