Throughout the first 5 or 6 seasons, despite some major stupidities from some main characters, the series was actually able to get me hooked, but then it became too dumb for my taste. Examples: why nobody can simply kill Neagan when all that is required is to pull the trigger? Or simply hit his head with Lucille when he's on the floor (Rick actually was capable of choosing to use the grip of the baseball bat). Or simply shoot his lieutenants (so many easy opportunities wasted by a complete lack of basic decision). Why not keep several people watching the Sanctuary, when it finally seemed as if it was the the end of the Saviours, just to make sure nobody could leave the building and remain alive. And why give tons of weapons and amo to those garbage people who clearly look too suspicious to be trusted. It's just one stupidity after another, and in between then speeches from Rick, the King, and other leaders trying to boost the moral so the good guys can beat the bad guys. If the Walking Dead scenario indeed happened, none of those leaders would have survived season 8. Too bad, it was actually good for a while.

Isn't it strange that in the history of countries where communism is (or was) the political system, is not uncommon for people die of famine? Does anyone who liked this film knows Nicolas Maduro from Venezuela? The leader of a country where only leftist parties are allowed, the media is controlled by the government, the elections are pure fraud so the "king" can perpetuate himself in power. What's the current state? People have nothing to eat and they are so brainwashed that no one does anything for real to stop the guy. Oh, but wait, the US is the one to blame, capitalism is bad, and we need to make whatever it takes to make communism prevail.. we have the girl and the panna cotta to prove it! We are the dream of a Soviet Union that this time will work, you will see!

Note: Free education, universal health system, and social programs for the poor do exist in capitalist countries (Canada, most of Europe, etc) so people have the opportunities to learn, be healthy, and eat!
