Anti-Cinema
This film is a self-indulgent affront to Cinema itself. Dull and self-absorbed to an infuriating degree, it stands not only as an insult but as a warning. That it is not only possible to create such an awful film but also to induce otherwise intelligent film- goers to buy into the idea that it's worth watching.
It might have worked had it been presented as a Dada-esque satire about film-making or familial angst. I highly recommend that anyone interested in cinema should watch this, for no other reason than to understand just how bad things can get in "documentary film-making".

Worth a casual watch
Another film which suffers from the curse of the IMDb review. In this case, however, the end result gives the movie a just about fair result. Those who rate this film highly are as wrong as those who've panned it. It's worth about 6-7. Could it have been better directed? Maybe... It might have been better written, for sure. It's virtues are not obscured by it's flaws, far from it. An interesting and original narrative gives us a very watchable take on the police procedural/serial killer genre. Worth watching but it's not a masterpiece by any means. Mostly as a reaction against the mean spirited reviews, I'll give it a seven.

Trying too hard
This movie is awful in nearly every way. Misogynistic, exploitative shock/gore porn. The "unsteady"cam videography grates from start to finish and is altogether too contrived. I guess there was an intent amongst the directors to find a new way to make found footage movies interesting again. They failed. The women are either brainless, predatory or exploitative, the male characters are invariably douchebags whom you wouldn't mind seeing murdered in the various gruesome ways portrayed in the movie. This is the crudest, lowest form of audience exploitation I think I've ever seen. The script/"acting" seems to consist entirely of feminine bleating or male cackling. Honestly, I'd really like to find some merit in this pretentious attempt at a classic slash-fest but really, there isn't one. Film making this bad doesn't belong in general distribution.
