Teeth (2004)
Style, originality and something out-of-the-ordinary
I saw this film at a festival, and I have to say it was a lot better than most of the worthy and trendy rubbish I have to sit through! At least this director's got style, originality, and dares to do something out-of-the-ordinary! The writing also shows a good sense of story and narrative, with the ending being suitably rewarding.
Technically, the quality of this film is superb. The director handles sound very well, and is not afraid to use silence in the film. The lighting is suitably atmospheric, and the cinematography is spot on; although when you learn that the film was shot by Brian Tufano this is to be expected. The fact that an experienced film-maker of this calibre, along with Stephen Frears as executive producer are prepared to work with a young director also speaks volumes about his talent and potential.
I look forward to seeing the next piece of work from this director.

Watch it yourself see what you think.
Anyone who doesn't think that this film is a classic needs to be looked at. OK, so these idiots say "It's the worst film of all time", or "That's supposed to be terrible", or whatever, but ignore them. They probably don't understand this branch of comedy, so their opinion is worthless.
OK, so the plot is silly and the gags are crude. Who cares? You're not writing a dissertation on it! Yes, it's very different to a lot of films, but that's what makes it special, a one-off, actually worth seeing! Maybe you just want to watch mainstream films and that's fine, if a little bit boring. But just because Tom Green decides to push the boat out and do something that's a bit daring, even if it's niche, he gets saddled with this "worst film ever" rubbish! Well, if you want to be condemned to a life of formulaic tosh then that's your problem, but don't complain if somebody actually bothers to do something different!
