The Evil Gene (2015)
Great Move!
This film took me by surprise for several reasons. One: The performance by Richard Speight, Jr. was delightfully different. (If you are a big fan of Richard's, I would definitely take a gander at this film.) Two: The cinematography is amazing. It really sets the tone for the film. Three: The plot twist. (I won't spoil it.) I hate the predictability that a lot of horror/suspense films tend to have, so kudos for the creative plot twist!
The film takes you on a journey as any good suspense/horror movie should. The plot is very well thought out and the film itself is very well written. I would recommend this film to any person that is a fan of the genre. My hat is off to everyone involved.
Pro Wrestlers vs Zombies (2014)
Hilarious Twist on the Undead
Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies may not be for those that are looking for a sensational, blockbuster film. But for those of us that enjoy a good low-budget gem, this is the film to watch. Some of the biggest names in professional wrestling are fighting off hoards of the undead. What more could a fan of both worlds want? Were there some inconsistencies? Yes, but even the biggest films in Hollywood have inconsistencies. To me, those inconsistencies did not ruin the film overall. It was still entertaining. The plot was well-developed and the dialogue was witty and memorable. Roddy Piper and the supporting cast delivered excellent performances. Ashton Amherst's character transformation was remarkable. I would definitely recommend the film to fellow wrestling fans.
