That being said.. I usually only review really bad movies to help others avoid wasting hours of their lives.. or I review really good movies that I initially thought I'd hate.

Oh, God! Book II (1980)
A 2020 Review of Oh, God! Book II.
The long and short of it:
This is a soft reboot of 1977's 'Oh, God!' movie, an almost beat for beat remake of a better movie.
I suggest you skip this movie and go straight to "Oh, God! You Devil!", despite it being a lower rated movie, at least it has a new spin on an old IP.
Mr. Right (2015)
Highly Underrated Action RomCom
It's the classic "girl meets boy, girl falls for boy.." kind of film; a basic paint-by-numbers Action Romantic Comedy, with telegraphed movie beats. However with Max Landis' quirky writing style injected into it, it becomes more than just the sum of its parts.
It's funny, quirky, and action packed.
Sam Rockwell (Mr. Right), Anna Kendrick (Martha), Tim Roth (Hopper) and RZA (Shotgun Steve) are the real standouts for me in this outing. And who knew RZA was so *censored* funny!?
Speaking of Rockwell and Kendrick, their on-screen chemistry is almost palpable, and for that reason alone you should watch this movie.
If you liked "Mr and Mrs Smith" and "Grosse Pointe Blank", you'll enjoy this cinematic experience as much as I did.
Killing Gunther (2017)
It Had So Much Potential
Short N Sweet review with no spoilers and no story beats:
It's, um, interesting..?
Acting: Taran Killam, technically the lead in this ensemble movie, overacts in every scene he's in, just like he did on Saturday Night Live, which made me roll my eyes, repeatedly. Bobby Moynihan, also an SNL alumni, overacts just as much, and yet.. it works for him, go figure. The rest of the cast are decent to great depending on the actor/actress, but they all make the unbelievable plot fun.
Production: The camera work is stellar for a low budget film. However, some of the comedy-specific directing choices miss the intended mark.
Conclusion: Overall, it's entertaining, but you're left wishing they'd went a bit more serious with the movie, dropped all the cheesy trying-too-hard jokes, kept the good comedic relief moments, and it could've been an excellent low budget action comedy with a lot of heart. Can't say much more about my thoughts on that, or i'll spoil the movie for some.
Recommendation: Definitely watch this movie, it IS entertaining. But go in with low expectations and you'll probably be pleasantly surprised.
Colossal (2016)
False Advertising Trailers
The trailers were misleading to say the least, they make it seem like this is a straight up comedy, which it is in the beginning, i'll give it that. But by the 2nd act turns into an allegory about abusive relationships, this one being between a woman and a man.
All in all, it's still a semi-good movie, but not as comedic as i'd first assumed from the trailers.
Furthermore, the whole Sci-Fi angle is a very minimal portion of the flick (5%?). So if you're looking for a huge Mecha vs. Kaiju movie, this is not the one for you.
