Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Pornstar's Requiem (2014)
This is a strange episode
I am not sure what the writer's intent is here... "Hudson U" is a joke... I don't really understand why a conservative African-American judge is made out to be a buffoon... How could a defendant spin that he watched a porn video, recognize the actress, and mentalize that she "In Real Life" must have and needs to have sex like that... this story is really lame... the overweight defense attorney, I must give him props, for he acts as directed, and the viewer must hate his Guts for defending a perverted delusional delinquent of moral society... this episode was made a couple of years before DJT was padding the judicial ranks with fascist stooges... so strangely this episode was weirdly predictive of how corrupted our courts could become by "conservative" hand placed judges...
Quincy M.E.: Ashes to Ashes (1978)
I wish I lived near Danny's!
Danny's bartender Johnny is so entertaining in this episode... Quincy storms into Danny's after Astin frustrates him for the umpteenth time... the bartender starts pouring Quincy a shot before he sits at the bar... Johnny knows all about the background info of the scumbum Quincy is doubting... like an 80s TMZ genius, Johnny spits out all sort of dirt on this scumbum, because Johnny reads the Wall Street Journal... then Monahan storms into Danny's... a barfly leaves because a cop entered... before Monahan sits down the bartender is pouring him a shot... not long afterward Quincy hooks up with the 1st victim's sister... typical 80s liberal Quincy schtick...
Perry Mason: The Case of the One-Eyed Witness (1958)
Cigarette count
I lost track of the cigarette count in this episode. Bad guy chain smoking. Mason smoking half a pack waiting for Drake. Drake smoking while talking to the maitre'd... smoking again talking to Mason at Mason's office while it is pouring rain...
Barnaby Jones: Girl on the Road (1979)
Karate Kid baddie
Karate Kid baddie Martin Kove appears in this episode. I believe he is in another late 70s Barnaby episode. He is obviously typecast as a bad guy.
JR haters likely will not like this episode. Frankly I am not a hater of the JR and Betty episodes. Those episodes floated the show for a few years.
