The Northman (2022)
It's no Braveheart or Gladiator
The fight scenes and choreography is atrocious. Hollywierd I think has gotten so used to using CGI, that when they actually do a movie with real stunts and action its lackluster. It's like this new generation of Movie makers have no idea how things were done to add any realism back in the day. The movie itself is dry. The actors at times were like watching an amateur high school play that was trying to imitate Shakespeare. Some scenes from a Vikings perspective were ok. The plot itself is hard to follow and the story isnt really that great. Almost like its stolen from multiple movies that all been done before. You could also cut a half hour off this film with ease to get its bland point across. For as much as they tried to put in to this movie they failed.
Lakewood (2021)
When A listers lose their star power
That's the real story here. Expect Naomi Watts to be co starring with the likes of Nicolas Cage and Bruce Willis after this because her phone must not be ringing anymore. This was one of the worst movies I'd ever seen. Thankfully after about 15 minutes in I went to IMBD and looked at some reviews and realized I needed to skip through about 50 more minutes of this garbage just so I didnt have to watch Watts jog anymore. Big thanks to those who reviewed before me for the warning.
Dark Skies (2013)
Theres some pretty huge flaws...
Leading up to the closing of the film. One of the biggest problems is the location of the protagonist family. The suburbs for this plot scenario is kind of absurd. Aliens tormenting a family for weeks before they carry out their ultimate objective with a bunch of neighbors living next door and nobody notices every night while the family acts crazy AF during the day.? The whole neighborhood mustve been roofied by the Aliens to not notice what was going on at that house every night. Especially you know how nosey neighbors get they ain't gonna see anything? The movie starts out pretty slow and boring as well with the wife not putting out because the guy has failed to land another job after getting canned at work. That's like a whole unneeded side story. I felt almost like it was sending a message like hey guys no job no sex at home. Lol. Head scratcher for sure.
Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman (2021)
Take it for what it is..
Plays out like a Lifetime Network Drama. Whether Wuernos made any of these extravagant claims before her death, knowing what a nut job she was it's possible but I think unlikely. Seems more like a a Hollyweird low grade writer took her persona and just fictionalized her life. If you take it for what it is than it's not as bad as the other reviews claim. Average at very best but kills some time.
Re-Kill (2015)
Do you like seizures?
Because that's almost what it feels like watching the camera work in this movie. Probably the worst I've ever seen. Even if this movie had a decent plot, which it doesn't, its unbearable to watch. I Shut it off.
Invasion (2021)
Why have I continued to watch this
So it's now episode 6 and we finally get to see an alien. And it's gravely dissatisfying at that. Nevermind All the actors in this show are terrible af. Not that they had any help from the writing department that makes them completely moronic. The show is slow and terrible.
Halloween II (2009)
Can we just forget
That this sequel exists? Probably the worst remake sequel in the books. Rob Zombie needs to quit casting his wife. His need to cast her in every movie completely backfires in this. He practically rewrote the movie plot just to have her star in this garbage, not to mention she's a terrible actress. There wouldve been no need for her and the alter storyline for it in this movie at all. If he wouldn't had went a different direction 20 minutes in just to include her storyline he probably couldve pulled off a decent sequel.
The Guilty (2021)
Not good
Low budget movie with alot of whining, crying, and senseless drama. I didnt see the original and hear this is the remake, but alot of the movie is reminiscent of The Call with Hally Berry but just never leaves the room. Watch that instead if you havent seen it. This movie is a bore.
Stillwater (2021)
More underlining Woke Trash
We have Dumbo Dad from Oklahoma, another southern stigma, trying to rescue his...wait for it (sigh) Lesbian daughter accused of murder in a foreign country. But he's not a really bad guy. Hes good with kids, and pretty slow with his romantic interest in the mother. Which makes sense because hes just some hick from Oklahoma. Even though hes not a bad dude, he will tie up and beat some dude in her basement like a creepy Dahmer version of Liam Neilson in Taken, to prove his daughters innocence. Who by the way doesn't even appreciate it. Probably the only real aspect of this story. The acting at points was superb, which is to be expected with the cast. The writers in typical woke fashion are pure trash. Realistically I'd give it a 4. But I'm giving it a 1 to balance out the blatant shilling.
Boss Level (2020)
I liked it!
But much more couldve been utilized with the surrounding cast of Naomi Watts and Mel Gibson. Frank Grillo was brilliant and it leaves you to wonder why he isnt more of an A list action star in Hollywood. The ending was open and bland with much left to be desired. Fortunately the overall plot and Frank Grillo save the film and kept it fun and humorous the whole way through. Definitely a hidden gem with
today's crappy Hollywood standards.
The Unholy (2021)
Proper Title For Horrible Movie
The writing and script is horrible. Jeff Dean Morgan isnt gonna escape his Typecast as Negan in this flick. Although none of this would be the actors fault. The director here is trash. So much to blame here.
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
Its entertaining.
I'm a big Jon Bernthal fan and he does these roles well. Angelina Jolie as a forest firefighter, and these 2 assassins really arent believable at all.
The Oak Room (2020)
25 minutes in...
The over acting in this movie is probably the worst I've ever seen. Judge for yourself.
Wolf Lake (1979)
1970'ish version of liberal propaganda trash.
A movie where World War 2 veterans are psychopathic murdering rapists and the Vietnam War deserter is a hero. Tons of babbling 70's era liberal rhetoric. I guess the more things changed the messages stayed the same. And that's just the underlying problem with this movie. Never mind that the plot moves way to fast. Meh. Some of it was entertaining while managing to be almost simultaneously annoying. Watch for yourself and see what I mean.
The Stand: The Stand (2021)
I wrote a beginning review and this will be my end.
I kept an open mind the first 2 episodes when I did my first reveiw and decided to do my last reveiw this episode as there is no point in waiting for the last. This whole mini series was god awful. Especially if you've read the book and seen the 90's version. The only thing that kept it entertaining was being able to compare the 3. The storyline was butchered. Which ultimately reveals a way bigger problem that's been getting more obvious in Hollywood all the time. This new generation of Writers, Producers, and Directors are getting worse by the year. Case in point some of these actors are well known and shouldve been an all star cast. But the "ReWriters", Directors, and Producers brought out the worst in them. And The Stand. :(
Your Honor (2020)
This show should have been in the late 80's or early 90's
Why? Because the only crime lords now threatening family and friends are the judges and politicians. They are the mob now. So present day it's really unrealistic. I'll give it a 5. Still watchable. But should be labeled fantasy.
The Stand (2020)
I've read the book 3 times...
And seen the '94 mini series a few as well. So here is my take on the first episode. One major flaw is it seems the producers are thinking that an audience is already familiar with the story, that hasnt been adapted since 1994, and originally going as far back as 1980. The skipping around of the plot and storyline suggests this. That is a huge mistake. They gave away things from the original story in the first episode that shouldve been surprises more towards the end. What would be the point in that for a new audience? Because I love the story so much I'm gonna give it a modest 5 for now until I see further episodes. But if it continues on this path it will be heading more towards a 1-2. Just for bad handling of the storyline.
Malevolence 3: Killer (2018)
Halloween RIP Off...
With some Friday the 13th nudity. So I gave it an extra star. 🤷♂️😆
The Lie (2018)
Think you wanna have kids??
10 stars if you wanna have kids, 1 star if you already have them for an average movie score of 5.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
I was 5 minutes in...
And I wtf'd. Don't even watch this crap. It'll ruin the legacy of the last 2 series for you. It's like the worst freshmen in a lib prep college wrote this script.
The Unfamiliar (2020)
Great movie!!!
If you need to fall asleep at night! No thrills in this dull performance bore fest knock off.
Greyhound (2020)
My uncle had 2 Navy Crosses ...
As a sub commander in world war 2, yet Hollywood keeps pumping this fictional story stuff out and drama without actually representing the people who served. So many stories they couldve used, and chose a 1:30 min chopped version of a fictional Captain to represent the Navy in WW2?? Garbage.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
Another hollyweird PC sell out
Hollywood managed to butcher yet another franchise with its politically correct BS. That's not even half the problem with this film. The complete storyline and plot is absurd. The T-800 as some sort of Disney like family man named Carl?? You cant make this crap up, but Hollyweird has. *Rolls Eyes*. They also killed off the first 2 movies in the first 5 minutes of this film. Worst movie I have seen. Ever.
