Hello Tomorrow! (2023)
Feels less of a Part then a whole
So apple TV comes out with 2 shows This "Hello Tomorrow and Silo. If you put them together you get FALLOUT, now obviously retrofuturism isn't a new concept (just thing stark expo lol) but it is wildly associated with the Games Series IP!. People obviously will just see that Its just the aesthetic setting for the show to allow the story to unfold. But a story set in this world setting about being sold a dream and it turning out to be a lie/scam not quite what it says on the tin is exactly the start of every fallout situation, So if you want all of this but with dark comedy and what I would think seeing this as somewhat of an Amuse-bouche for Fallout as i don't think this and silo should steal the thunder of what i hope to be a riveting total package of a story from amazon. I think as soon Fallout was announced apple stared to look for something to get into the market first but not an expensive IP that diehards could get upset about if it was messed with because as a IP Fallout is unique and with a built in diehard following as was Halo (enough said) so they couldn't just do a total carbon copy so this was they alternative get the the two elements and try to soften the market post Fallout, This in itself is a solid enough story. And well put together but I cant help feeling that it wouldn't of seen the exposure if it wasn't being used as such.
The Heist Before Christmas (2023)
Not an other a reworking of the Dickens classic this time
For once this year sky didn't offer up your normal a reworking of the Dickens classic, Spoiler free
This year, we have a triumph in The Heist Before Christmas, a tale of two sancta's and a test of faith in the true magic of the festive period, 1 brother who has had to grow up too fast and too poor to have much love for Christmas, and an other with faith in all that is every ounce a true believer along with their mother, who shows us with a passion the love she has for her boys, as Christmas continues to crumble around her. The ending is unfortunately is a bit of a meh hence the 8 star. The main star is not the named saint nicks but young Bamber Todd who portrays Mikey he looks like going on to be a shining star.
