Vyzov (2023)
The final frontier is good movie not this one
It's an incredibly long, grievous movie with sham predictable drama and stakes where the main character is the mere fact of being filmed in space, shot by men with a male gaze on one woman. A famous meme immediately comes to mind.
The most amazing thing here is that real astronauts sometimes play better than any honored artists.
It's pretty obvious that they were inspired by Gravity and Armageddon, with more of the latter, but without the explosions.
It's a shame it's covered in a big layer of propaganda, even here we see its traces - commissioned reviews with scores of 10 out of 10, which of course is complete nonsense.
No One Will Save You (2023)
It has everything you'd imagine after looking at the poster
Unfortunately, the film is out of theaters, and thanks to Disney's purchase of Fox, it's on Hulu, which means fewer people will see it. Streaming while creating a platform for freedom is literally destroying it.
This is the quintessential action thriller. The movie speeds up with every second, unfolding more and more scenes and plot twists that you could imagine just by watching the trailer or poster, not forgetting along the way to talk about the heroine and why her case is special, though obviously, darling, no one will save you but yourself!!
Great sci-fi! Thank you, Brian Duffield!!! Unbelievable flick!
Sex Education (2019)
Starting as a horny fun show finishing as coming of age series for adults
The series started out as a fun show about a teenager and his masturbation problems and, gradually taking on more and more serious topics from season to season, turned into a coming-of-age series.
Of course, the comedic component doesn't go anywhere, but the amount of issues that are packed into a minute of runtime is gratifying and astounding in the fourth season.
There are themes of believing in yourself, faith in general, overcoming fears. It's not just about accepting yourself, your body, but sensuality and being able to share it.
It's about abuse, violence, gaslighting, hypocrisy, quarrels, betrayal.
It's about the fact that life is not a soap opera and you have to make a decision for your best self, no matter how heartbreaking it is to your current self.
It's about empathy, the ability to really think about the other, about those closest to you, to recognize mistakes. It's about being able to talk, the importance of conversation and ordinary communication between people when you care. It's about the importance of letting someone else be someone else with their own thoughts and character.
Unfortunately, the world is an awful place and we cannot avoid traumas, but maybe we should at least try to accept them and their peculiarities, mainly in those who are dear to you?
