Transformers (2007)
This film will blow you away!
The Transformers movie is, hands down, out of this world! This motion picture really kept me on the edge of my seat. I was impressed with everything that was contained within the presentation. Transformers is jam-packed with action and suspense, not to mention its fair share of laughs. The cast members here deliver astounding performances sure to please citizens everywhere. The heroes are highly compassionate while the evildoers are exceedingly ruthless. This movie has a lot of authority people in it and significant number of them appear to be egocentric, irascible, and restless. These self-centered figures will not rest until they get what they want. Authorities are everywhere in this extremely intense adventure movie! The special effects crew really outdid themselves here with all the work that went into creating the elements that make the picture worth viewing. If you want to see a film that perfectly balances suspense and comedy, your ticket is Transformers.
The Last Mimzy (2007)
The Last Mimzy rocked my world!
I saw this movie earlier this week and I must say that it just entertained me in a way that I thought could never be done. The Last Mimzy is a fantasy/science fiction motion picture that is sure to please anyone that enjoys such fare. The story here kept me glued to my seat. When the two children found the box containing the mystical items I knew that it was about to get really good from that moment on. Emma immediately took a strong liking to the toy bunny rabbit that was inside one of the main compartments. Everything that was found in the box resulted in the kids having remarkable talents that were simply unheard of in the past. They gradually discover that what they have found is the gateway to a strange and unusual world. When the climax occurs, they come to the conclusion that only they can save the future of the planet.
Night at the Museum (2006)
A real edge-of-your-seat treat!
This motion picture clearly has all sorts of various elements when it comes to the contents that are contained within the story. Night at the Museum kept me glued to my seat and I can assure you that I was delighted by the entire presentation. The film has lots of comedy and suspense!
Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) is a divorced father who struggles with every job that he pursues. Eventually, he lands the job of night watchman at a national history museum. Every night the exhibits that are featured within the building all come to life and wreak havoc on just about everything. Larry has to come to terms about what causes the chaos and how to control it. The mayhem is the result of an ancient Egyptian curse that is transmitted via an old tablet that was in the possession of an ancient king of the aforementioned country. After the smoke is cleared, everyone-and everything-is at peace with each other now and forevermore.
This movie truly rocks!
Unaccompanied Minors (2006)
An Instant Favorite for Me!
I enjoyed this movie tremendously! Unaccompanied Minors kept me glued to my seat and the elements contained within had me captivated. There are some very interesting moments here and I think that everyone else will probably agree with me.
The picture is about a small group of kids who are traveling for the Christmas holiday. However, it all goes awry when a fierce snowstorm delays every flight at the airport. Of all the children that are present at this location five of them manage to wreak all sorts of havoc throughout the lounge and its surrounding areas. This infuriates the security manger, Oliver Porter, who is supposedly also in charge of everything else at the facility. The kids (Spencer, Grace, Beef, Donna, and Charlie) disobey every single command that Oliver gives them; they also manage to escape all the places that he chooses to confine them in. The kids eventually reach Spencer's sister Katherine and give her a present so she won't think that Santa forgot about her. The five kids establish a very strong bond at the end of the film.
Unaccompanied Minors is very entertaining. I recommend this movie to everyone that I know. See it, this is guaranteed to mesmerize you.
Deck the Halls (2006)
This movie is packed with brilliant surprises!
I found Deck the Halls to be a very enjoyable Christmas motion picture. The story here is somewhat interesting and the principal cast members are all very sophisticated. Many of the scenes included herein made me glow with happiness. I was extremely amazed by just about everything that this movie depicted. The film-makers really outdid themselves!
Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick play Buddy Hall and Steve Finch, respectively. Hall is Finch's new neighbor and their families are met with mixed reactions. After a series of discoveries, Hall decides to decorate his house with an intense amount of Christmas lights and other holiday material. Finch gets jealous because his new neighbor is now the talk of the town. As a result, Finch tries to ruin everything for Hall. Eventually, their families become infuriated when the argument goes to far. After some apologies and reconciliation, the two families establish a strong friendship. Everyone has a happy holiday!
My favorite scene was the one where Finch was dragged all over the city in the sleigh that Hall picked up from a local retailer. In addition, he found a couple of horses and decided to spice it all up. The horses had fake antlers taped on their heads to make them look like reindeer. The animals went crazy while Finch was sitting in the sleigh; they got active and Finch received the ride of his life.
Also, I was delighted when I saw that DeVito's offspring here were portrayed by a set of beautiful twin teenage girls. My eyes got big every time these characters (Ashley and Emily) were on the screen. Seriously, these two cute gals really had me captivated! THEY WERE SO HOT!
Highly recommended!
The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006)
This Christmas movie made me glow with joy!
I went to go see this movie today and I really must say that the whole picture was just plain magnificent! The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, starring Tim Allen and Martin Short, is a holiday-themed film that will delight moviegoers of all ages. This third installment of the now-popular Walt Disney series has a lot of heart, amusement, and wonder just like its predecessors. The plot contained here in this wondrous motion picture is very fascinating and viewers will be glued to their seats during the entire the presentation. Without a doubt, many elements of this film really had me captivated. There are many unforgettable scenes in this well-written Christmas outing. The characters all have very charming personalities. Jack Frost is a very mischievous figure that gets jealous very easily. He wants to take over Christmas and only Santa can set things right. My favorite is Lucy, portrayed by Liliana Mumy. I am practically in love with this little girl. The Lucy character is very sweet, adorable, courteous, sympathetic, generous, and, of course, lovable. Lucy has a huge love of hugging other people, young and old. She has the biggest heart out of all the people that are featured here. Her carefree nature kept me warm and fuzzy, inside and out. I wish that I could meet this actress so we can hug each other. Hugs appeal to me quite a bit and I would love to tell Ms. Mumy that her compassionate character is one of the greatest that I have ever seen! Sweet, caring people are the best in the whole world!
Coupling (2000)
This series is remarkably brilliant!
The British sitcom Coupling is a show that that will captivate viewers everywhere. I have taking a huge liking to this program for many reasons. I have now watched the entire series on DVD and I really must say that Steven Moffat, the show's creator, has really outdone himself here. The story that surrounds the show is very interesting if I do say so myself. The central players here really know how to make us glow with joy. They all shine like stars.
The show's main characters include: Steve Taylor, Jeff Murdock, Patrick Maitland, Susan Walker, Sally Harper, and Jane Christie. In the fourth and final season Jeff is replaced by Oliver Morris. Over the course of the series, the gang has various discussions about relationships and sex; situations pertaining to such matters are the show's main outline for the general plot. Many of the episodes here succeed at sticking close to that formula. Once more, Mr. Moffat is a genius.
One more thing...the women here (Susan, Sally and Jane) are exceedingly beautiful and incredibly attractive.
The Devil Wears Prada (2006)
This movie amuses me in every possible way!
When I heard about this movie I immediately made plans to go see it. Meryl Streep is a very notable actress with a very sharp personality. She was perfect for the role of Miranda Priestly. Anne Hathaway has tons of charisma and clarity. She is also incredibly attractive and beautiful. Her enormous smile is clearly her most distinct trademark. The part that she plays here is very easygoing and sophisticated. The results are mind-blowing in every aspect! I was very impressed with what this movie depicted!
From beginning to end, The Devil Wears Prada will keep you mesmerized. The story of a visionary and sympathetic young lady coming to work for a selfish and unpredictable publication editor has its moments of comedy, drama, and, of course, style. Miranda Priestly is immensely straightforward, direct and serious about her position of editor-in-chief for Runway Magazine. She expects her subordinates to be creative, infallible, dedicated, and independent. Therefore, Miranda is like a powerful monarch in the city of New York. Andrea Sachs, the other lead character, has tremendous persistence and is very sweet-natured and generous to all of her close companions and relatives. Andrea is forced to obey every fierce command that Miranda bestows upon her. The nature of Miranda really stresses Andrea out and it is not long before her personal life is greatly affected. As a result, she is faced with the confusion of what to do in order to put an end to all of the pressure and mayhem.
The entire picture here is very overwhelming and the principal cast members all shine like bright stars. The Devil Wears Prada offers excellent entertainment and delivers some simple messages to viewers regarding relationships with friends, relatives, colleagues, and superiors. Movies like this one display so much significance for audiences.
RV (2006)
This picture is utterly hysterical, no doubt about it!
From the way that I look at this movie, it is utterly hysterical. R.V. will keep you amused from start to finish. There are many scenes contained herein that made me laugh out loud with a vengeance! Anyone who digs a fantastic laugh, like myself, will definitely want to check out this amazing theatrical comedy masterpiece. The cast members in this film are very mind-blowing. The story is very interesting and well-written. In all aspects, R.V. is exceedingly entertaining!
The Munro family (consisting of Bob, Jamie, Cassie, and Carl) is a very dysfunctional group of people. The were initially going to go to Hawaii for their upcoming family vacation. However, Bob's employer, the zealous Todd, decides to arrange a business meeting in the Colorado rockies. As a result, Bob hatches out a new scheme: he rents a recreational vehicle for a family road trip. The trip will end at his employer's destination. The reactions are mixed from Bob's wife and kids when they first see the vehicle. A while later, though, everyone gets settled in somewhat. After a small series of mishaps, the Munro bunch meets the Gornickes (consisting of Travis, Marie Jo, Earl, Moon, and Billy), a true, surefire family of rednecks. Bob and his clan make every possible effort to avoid this strange and happy-go-lucky group of citizens. However, as their R.V. misadventures continue, the Gornickes keep popping up wherever the dysfunctional family may be. In the end, the two sides establish a mighty, everlasting friendship.
Ghostbusters II (1989)
The courtroom scene truly rocks!
Ghostbusters 2 is highly entertaining motion for anyone that digs films that are great fun from start to finish. This movie has a vast amount of memorable moments, sequences, and lines. Although the storyline here is very similar to that of the first one, the entire motion picture delivers so much amusement that it is often hard for viewers to keep up on the movie's central plot. Regardless of all these factors, Ghostbusters 2 is easily one of the best sequels ever produced in motion picture history.
This movie takes place fives years after the events of the first Ghostbusters flick. Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston have been given a judicial restraining order by the entire New York community. The order strictly forbids them performing services as ghost busters. You see, even though they saved the world from utter destruction at the end of GB1, they caused a lot of damage to a high-rise apartment building located near Cenral Park. However, the boys reunite after Dana has a scary and mind-boggling experience when her infant son, Oscar, is mysteriously taken away while in his carriage out on First Avenue. After some investigation and deliberation, they decide to jackhammer a hole in the middle of the busy intersection. When Ray goes below like a worm on a hook he discovers a river of pink slime flowing heavily under the city. Later in the movie, the find out that the slime is the living embodiment of the bad vibes and negative feelings that have been generated over time by the citizens of New York City.
Right now I would like to elaborate on what is perhaps the most memorable sequence in the entire movie: the courtroom scene. Following their late-night excavation on First Avenue, Peter, Ray, and Egon are arrested for willful destruction of public property and causing a blackout over the entirety of New York City. The three of them are put on trial in a court of law presided by Judge Stephen Wexler. Wexler's nickname is "The Hammer". This is so because he is a constant gavel banger and screams at other people just for the fun of it. Therefore, Judge Wexler is very sadistic, arrogant, and closed-minded. He also has a very lousy temper. As a result of his hot anger towards the guys, the pink slime in the jar present in the room bubbles like crazy and eventually unleashes two gigantic apparitions: the Scoleri brothers. The judge recognizes them because he himself gave the brothers the death penalty for murder a long time ago. The two ghosts now want to kill him. All this chaos forces the judge to eliminate their restraining order so that the two ghosts can be removed from the courthouse. They succeed and the Ghostbusters are back in business.
Ghostbusters 2 is truly a magnificent motion picture! The courtroom scene and many other moments will have you laughing like a maniac. This movie, like the first one, will forever remain to be a favorite with me.
Nanny McPhee (2005)
Nanny McPhee is an extremely pleasant motion picture, hands down!
I just knew that I would enjoy this movie! Nanny McPhee is immensely entertaining, hands down! Emma Thompson is truly great as the film's title character. The other cast members are also very overwhelming! This picture made me very happy! Nanny McPhee is brought to the attention of a man with seven children because McPhee is just the person he needs to end his seemingly awful dilemma. You see, Nanny McPhee is no ordinary nanny; she possesses magical powers that can practically do the impossible. As a result, the children learn to respect her and most everyone else as well.
Out of all the scenes that are featured in this movie, I liked it most when the nanny used her powers to make a donkey dance on two feet. During this scene, I was laughing very-I mean-very hard! This is easily one of the best remembered moments in the whole entire film.
The movie closes very pleasantly, too, with a wedding scene where utter chaos breaks out and everyone gets messy! After the mayhem is over though, a very happy ending is taking place.
This is one DVD that I definitely intend on buying!
Aquamarine (2006)
This movie is very stylish and spectacular!
I saw this movie yesterday and I thought that it was very entertaining. Aquamarine is a truly excellent family flick! Even though I'm a 24-year old young man, this film appealed to me a whole lot. I am often very fond of films that revolve mainly around female characters. The girls featured here are all very cute, especially Sara Paxton, the actress who portrays the title character.
The movie is about two teen-aged girls, Claire and Hailey, who form a strong bond with a mermaid. The mermaid is very gorgeous and they decide to name her Aquamarine. As the three gals hang around each other Aquamarine explains that she must show her father that love exists all around. She meets and falls for a lifeguard named Raymond and tries to get him to fall for her. However, she is reluctant about telling him that she is a mermaid. Fortunately, during the daytime when the sun is out she has legs like an ordinary human being. Once the sun sets though she has a tail again. The movie also features a rival girl named Cecilia, who is the daughter of a local news reporter. Cecilia is very arrogant, dishonest, and greedy. She wants everybody everywhere to treat her like a queen. In the end, she gets what she deserves!
I recommend this movie to everyone that I interact and communicate with! Aquamarine is an interesting movie that will make you glow with happiness!
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)
This movie is a winner with me all the way!
I went to go see this movie last night and I must say that I was very pleased with what I witnessed. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a fun-filled motion picture that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This film also contains a few good laughs as well. This likable adventure has vast diversity when it comes to its principal characters. The intensity contained here is very overwhelming. The four central protagonists are all very charming indeed.
Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are trying to adapt to their new living arrangement when they discover a magical wardrobe in a secret room in the upstairs area. The quartet meets a wide variety of good and evil characters. They gradually realize that the land of Narnia is in danger because of the evil White Witch, who claims to be the queen of the land. Some friendly animals soon tell the children that they are the only hope in ending the witch's reign of terror. A lion named Aslan is brought to their attention and they prepare for a magnificent battle. The lion ends up killing the evil witch. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are all honored and crowned as monarchs in the land of Narnia. The story here comes to a very happy end.
I truly like this movie and its characters. The four kids are, once again, very charming. Peter, the oldest son, is very strong-willed and reliable. Susan, the oldest daughter, has a genuinely delightful personality in addition to her ability to provide help to others when it is needed. Edmund likes to go his own way in a situation when he feels that it is a necessity; therefore, he is something of a rebel. Lucy is an adorable little girl who has a way with making others happy with her cute smile; she is also a bit of a humanitarian. The sadistic White Witch has a huge love of telling others what to do. When the lion killed her, I got very ecstatic. Peace was restored to the land of Narnia and our heroes are greatly honored.
I love this movie! The characters here really captivated me, especially Susan and Lucy, the two lovable girls. The classic story by C.S. Lewis is brought to life in a truly spectacular way. Families everywhere will fall in love with this masterpiece of a motion picture. Long live King Peter, Queen Susan, King Edmund, and Queen Lucy!
Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005)
One very awesome motion picture!
I went to go see this movie the other day, and I must say that I was blown away. Zathura is an incredible fantasy film for families everywhere. This picture has vast intensity! There are also a lot of heartfelt moments here as well. Zathura is absolutely guaranteed to captivate anyone who views it.
From the way that I look at this movie, Zathura is a cross between Jumanji and Explorers. The story contained here follows the elements of a fictional vintage board game and the realm of outer space. Two prepubescent brothers, Walter and Danny, are consistently having arguments about anything and everything. They have an older sister named Lisa, who is very sweet but also lazy. Their parents are split apart in the story. The Zathura board game is discovered by Danny (the youngest child) while he is down in the basement of the house in which they are staying. He starts off the game and he and Walter are soon forced to finish it up so that they can return to Earth again where they will be safe. While playing the vintage game, all three children encounter a wide variety of surprises that come as a result of the words that are printed on the game's cards. In the end, they make it back to their rightful place on Earth and their lives are changed forever.
Darcy's Wild Life (2004)
This show is so incredible!
Darcy's Wild Life, starring the highly gorgeous Sara Paxton, is so incredibly amusing from the way that I view it. The characters and the stories here really sparkle. I discovered the series on NBC one Saturday a few weeks back. The series has become a surefire favorite with me. Paxton is a very cute girl. I hope that her personality never, ever changes! Her attractive looks really captivate me. She also has a vast amount of charisma to go along with her stylish appearance. I hope that this show stays on NBC for a great while because I can't get enough of what this program generally showcases. This is a series that just about anybody of any age can thoroughly enjoy. I love you Sara!
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005)
I am crazy over this movie!
I am so glad that I took a chance on this motion picture! The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants has proved to be a monster hit with me. The film is extremely entertaining and the four lead girls are all so sweet and lovable. The whole show here made me smile very big as I was very impressed with what was presented throughout. These girls here have some talent!
The central characters in this fabulous picture are four girls who have been friends since they were all little. Bridget, Carmen, Lena, and Tibby are the names of the group's members here. Each girl has a very unique personality that lights a spark with the rest of the gang. I really love all four of them very much. If I had to choose a favorite here it would probably have to be Lena. Lena is the girl that has Greek grandparents living in their native country. From the way I look at Lena, she's the sweetest and most carefree girl in the group. Her adorable giggle makes me glow with happiness. She also has a very strong way with affection, which is something that I admire tremendously. Tibby appeals to me just as much as Lena because she has a way with making the lives of other people seem more interesting. Bridget and Carmen, too, are very charming and are greatly dedicated to their favorite leisure time activities. Once more, these four girls are all so loyal to one another. Who would have ever thought that a simple pair of young women's jeans would fit all four of them just right?
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is such a delightful movie! I think that this picture deserves to be honored and crowned! This film is sure to captivate anybody that views it. Families everywhere will fall in love with this movie gem.
Garfield in the Rough (1984)
I will forever love this Garfield special!
I was a little boy the first time I saw this animated special. It appealed to me back then as it still does today. Garfield cartoons are always immensely enjoyable and funny. Garfield in the Rough (1984) is easily the best out of the travel adventure specials.
In this vastly amusing program, Jon, Garfield, and Odie decide to go on a camping trip. Jon, especially, is all psyched about taking this little vacation. At first, Garfield is not to thrilled about going camping; it takes some time for him to get settled in once they get their equipment all together. Jon brings his battery-powered radio and decides to relax to some music with his pets. As soon as he activates the appliance, a special news report bulletin comes on explaining that a vicious panther has escaped from a local zoo and has been sighted near Lake Wobegone. Garfield panics and suspects that the creature is nearby. After stating that they will be alright, Jon performs a song that his parents used to sing entitled "Camping is My Life". This moment is clearly one of the highlights from the special. The song is incredible, no doubt. I also really liked it when Garfield ventures through the woods and meets Dicky and Billy, a beaver and a rabbit, respectively. Before he meets these two friendly animals, a nature song can be heard while the cat feasts his eyes on the glory and wonder of the beautiful scenery that is being shown to all. The nature song really touches me, so every time I play this program I make sure that this moment has my full attention. The final highlight of this Garfield story is the one where our heroes fight off the hostile panther while waiting for the park's rangers, who shoot a tranquilizer dart at its neck, dropping it unconscious. Our story has a pleasant ending and the boys head back home again where they'll be safe.
National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002)
A very hysterical film for anyone who digs comedy!
Van Wilder, starring Ryan Reynolds and Tara Reid, is a very, very, very funny movie. I laughed like crazy when I saw this for the first time. Reynolds and Reid portray great lead characters that are sure to have audiences captivated. The storyline here is very interesting. The film also offers a incredible amount of memorable moments.
Van Wilder, the title character, has been a college student for the better part of a decade when a beautiful young lady named Gwen Pearson is brought to his attention. She has been given the assignment of examining Van and his background. Gwen's Boyfriend, Richard Bagg, is a jealous lunatic who is the head of a fraternity that is located on campus. Richard is seeking to eventually become a doctor while hoping that Gwen will someday be his wife. A series of events results in Van receiving the opportunity to show everyone what he is made of by choosing a degree program and graduating.
I was most amused here when Richard Bagg defecated in a trash can located in an administrator's office. Right before his exam for a medical school, Gwen gave Richard a protein shake. Little did he know that the shake was spiked with a substance called colon blow. Richard hastily finished his exam so he could go to the bathroom. During the exam, breaks were prohibited. He still had people to meet in one of the offices so he went in and was greeted by everybody. At this point, his intestines were about to explode. With no choice but to get rid of this miserable tension, Richard proceeded to relieve his bowels in an empty trash can in the office. While he's defecating, the other people in the room are just as shocked as they can be. One of them, a woman, leaves because she suddenly gets the feeling that she needs to vomit. Richard even says at one point here that he is bleeding. This sequence with our bad guy is clearly the film's highlight.
If you like comedy, you'll love this movie! See it, I guarantee it that you'll be impressed. Laughs are everywhere in this silly, wacky flick featuring a delightful cast.
Dumb and Dumber (1994)
One of my all-time favorite motion pictures!
Without question, the 1994 comedy film Dumb & Dumber is one of my all-time favorite motion pictures. I saw this movie when it first came out and I was instantly hooked on it. I laughed very hard when I watched it on the big screen (by the way, I was twelve years old when this film was theatrically released). Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are terrific as the two lead characters. The rest of the cast also really glows. This film will probably still be a favorite with me even when I am past the age of fifty.
The film is about two best friends who are unable to keep sensible, steady jobs while hoping to eventually start their own business. Lloyd was working as a limousine driver when he met a gorgeous woman named Mary Swanson. He proceeded to drive her to the airport when he fell madly in love with her. She leaves her briefcase in the airport terminal and Lloyd immediately rushed to get it back to her. He was too late and lost his job following his fall from the jet-way. Harry was also terminated after he failed to deliver dogs to the proper pet show on time. After much deliberation, Harry and Lloyd decide to take a road trip across America. Their destination: Aspen, Colorado. Lloyd wants to be reunited with Mary so that he can start a relationship with her, in addition to returning her the briefcase she left behind. Little do the boys know that they are being pursued by a couple of criminals who are after the money that is being kept inside the locked briefcase; they were sent on the mission by Nicholas Andre, a man who is linked somehow to Mary and her family.
I have several favorite sequences from this hysterical picture. One is where Harry and Lloyd encounter trouble at a truck-stop diner. A truck driver named Sea Bass is accidentally hit with a salt-shaker from Harry. Sea Bass is irritated and spits on Harry's hamburger. Lloyd decides to seek revenge on Sea Bass and his gang by telling the staff that they are willing to pay for the service that he and Harry received at the restaurant. By the way, the waitress that they talk to is a very cute young woman with black hair. She also seems to be very sweet. They get away with this scheme while the overly tough Sea Bass is left feeling tremendous amounts of anger. I also like it when the duo puts atomic hot peppers on Joe's burger and makes him sick; he has an ulcer and cannot have such edibles. Joe groans and gives a request for his medicine; Harry unknowingly gives Joe rat poison, which instantly kills him. I also liked it when Harry drank the tea containing the Turbo Lax; this made him have to go very bad as his bowels were getting ready to pop.
I love this movie! Dumb & Dumber will forever remain to be one of my favorite films. There are so many moments in this movie that are exceedingly hilarious. I recommend this title for anyone who loves to laugh.
Detroit Rock City (1999)
A movie where defiance reigns supreme!
^^^***LOTS OF SPOILERS!***^^^
Detroit Rock City is a definite must-see motion picture for rocks fans. Kiss is one of my top favorite groups so this movie keeps me entertained all the way through. This film takes place a few years before I was born. After the phenomenal success of the Kiss Worldwide Reunion Tour, someone hatched out a brilliant idea for a movie concept featuring Kiss as the spotlight band. During their heyday in the 1970's, Kiss was one of the biggest and greatest bands on the face of the planet. This movie gives a depiction on something that could have happened back in 1978, or at any point during the group's initial peak period. The results are magnificent.
Friends Hawk, Lex, Trip, and Jam are four high school students who are avid rock fans; they are a garage/basement band named Mystery. The guys are gearing up for a Kiss concert in Detroit. Unfortunately, Jam's mother thinks that the group is like a force of pure Santanic evil, as she is a devoted church goer. She burns their concert tickets and opts to send her son off to a brutal boarding school. Defiance is everywhere here in this astounding piece of entertainment. Elvis, the high school's sinister hall monitor, is out to capture the gang after loitering in the hall without proper passes. They escape his wrath and decide to ditch school. The fellas borrow a car belonging to Lex's mother and head out to Detroit after Trip wins four new tickets on a radio contest. The road trip officially begins once Jam is rescued from the moronic institution located in the next county. On the highway, the gang fouls up with a slice of pizza and a couple of macho, selfish, judgmental fools, Kenny and Bobby, are out to make them pay the price for getting their car windshield messy. These two jerks are avid disco music fans and once they hear Kiss from an 8-track they throw it out into the street, where it gets crushed by a fire engine. Hawk kicks Kenny in the crotch and the boys knock Bobby out. The Guidos are tied up and tortured while their car is creamed with mud. When they make it to Detroit, things go wrong again when they lose their concert tickets from the radio station; Trip hung up too soon when he was participating in the contest. As a result, the boys temporarily disband so they can get new tickets some other way. They are very determined to see their number one favorite rock band perform in concert. Jam's mother is leading a protest again Kiss and their music. She sees him and takes him into a church. Lex tries to sneak past security at the concert venue but is pursued by a fat, loud, and arrogant guard. Hawk manages to get into a strip club and perform for money. Trip initially tries to steal tickets from children at a convenience store but is threatened by a muscle-bound buffoon and his cohorts. To avoid getting hit by this psycho, Trip must rob the store so the goons can have some extra cash. He eventually battles is out with a real store thief and manages to win the heart of the gorgeous gal who is running the register. Lex is caught by the hot-tempered guard and is thrown into a pile of garbage, where he is cornered be vicious dogs. He gradually escapes this situation and the dogs no longer try to attack him. After that he finds his mother's car at a repair shop that is run by two sleazy mechanics. They are also holding Christine hostage. Christine is the girl whom the boys picked up after defeating the Guidos on the highway. Lex wins them over and he shows more respect for this girl in distress. Meanwhile, Jam chooses to stand up to his egotistical mother and tells her that she sucks at being a parent. He tells her good, she deserved every bit of it! When the four boys reunite, still without tickets, they beat each other up so that they can hopefully get into the arena to see Kiss perform on stage. It all works out and the boys have a rocking' good time.
Zoey 101 (2005)
This program is downright adorable!
Zoey 101 is an interesting series that features a cast of beautiful teen-aged girls in very prominent roles. Zoey (Jamie Lynn Spears), the head of the gang, is very lovable, cheerful, dedicated, easygoing, and unselfish. Even when she frowns her looks are exceedingly attractive. The other girls on the show are also very charming and sweet. Most of the stories that have presented thus far have been really likable to say the least. I watch the show every chance that I get because this is my kind of group when it comes to young people. I seriously hope that the stories here get even better as the series continues. Zoey 101 is a surefire winner with me. Jamie, I love you!
The Vicar of Dibley (1994)
A magnitude of amusement!
I discovered this delightful British situation comedy on my local PBS station a short while back and I must say that this series is now one of my favorites. The Vicar of Dibley is extremely entertaining if I do say so myself. I recently purchased the DVD set and I am having a ton of fun with it. This joyful program is terrific to view any time during the day, but watching it after dark is a lot more fun in my opinion.
The shows stars British comedienne Dawn French as Geraldine Granger, who is named Dibley's new vicar. Geraldine is charismatic personality with a huge love of sweet foods. She excels at being a vicar in the small, sleepy community. Geraldine has seven (later only six) close associates: David, Hugo (David's bashful son), Owen, Frank, Jim, Letitia (who passed away soon after the first season), and Alice. Portrayed by Emma Chambers, Alice is my favorite out of all the characters on this incredible show. I like Alice because she's sweet, beautiful, carefree, lively, lovable, and, of course, funny. Alice, too, has lots of charisma. At the end of season two, Alice and Hugo get married; they later become parents.
This show is fabulous! The cast is remarkable and the stories are fascinating! This series is a must-see for comedy fans.
Unfabulous (2004)
This series is highly entertaining!
*****There are spoilers in the following comment!*****
The Nickelodeon series Unfabulous is highly entertaining from the way I look at it. The program features a terrific cast and the stories are really fascinating. I view the show every chance that I get because it makes me very happy. Actress Emma Roberts is a very charismatic young lady who is also intensely beautiful.
On this delightful series, Roberts stars as Addie Singer, a middle school student with two loyal best friends, Geena and Zack. Although she has a couple of close companions, Addie is generally a very solitary girl. She does not have much in common with her mother, father, and older brother. She also goes through a magnitude of struggles at her school. As a result of all this, Addie locks herself away and reflects her thoughts and feelings in her personal music; she is a somewhat devoted guitarist and likes to be creative in her own special way.
Although I'm a guy, I feel that I can relate quite a bit to the lead character here on this joyful show. When I was in middle school, I had it very rough. I was targeted by other guys that delighted in hassling me. I was extremely different from all of the others boys; therefore, I went to school with some very cruel kids. It is really difficult for me to close the book on these awful, painful memories. For me, this kind of stuff takes a tremendous amount of effort. Another similarity that I share with Addie is the fact that I like to play guitar. I love music, mostly anything within the rock/pop genre. However, I don't compose my own material so my emotions are not really reflected in songs. Also, I own only electric ones.
Emma Roberts is probably a very sweet, polite, lively, and lovable young lady. She portrays a FABULOUS character on this series. Emma, you are like a princess!
Sleepover (2004)
A delightful, fun-filled motion picture!
Sleepover is truly a delightful, fun-filled motion picture. I really like the film and its characters. This is a movie that can be enjoyed by just about anybody. Even though all of the movie's principal players are females, I strongly think that this movie can also appeal to guys in one way or another. I am a guy, and the flick appeals to me tremendously. The girls featured here are all very sweet and beautiful, no doubt about it.
The plot contained in this movie is somewhat fascinating if you ask me. Friends Julie, Hannah, Farrah, and Yancy are having a sleepover when Stacie, an extremely popular girl, comes over and gives the rules and objectives for an all-night scavenger hunt/quest. Stacie, her best friend Liz, and some other snobs are going up against the four protagonists for a very special outdoor lunchtime spot at the town's high school, which is where all of the girls, with the exception of Hannah, are about to start attending. Hannah is getting ready to move away with her family (this is explained as the film is opening).
Lead villain Stacie is so much like Kate on the Lizzie McGuire TV series; both girls are exceedingly gorgeous but they are pure selfish, impulsive, egotistical snobs who think that they are above the rest of the student body. In the end, Stacie and her gang of "bad" girls are beaten and they get what they deserved: lunchtime by the big, fat ever-filthy dumpsters. Sara Paxton, who plays Stacie, is probably a very sweet, lovable, and polite young lady in real life. I hope so, because she is intensely beautiful!
13 Going on 30 (2004)
Vastly entertaining as well as adorable.
13 Going on 30 keeps me amused from start to finish. Jennifer Garner delivers a stunning performance in a movie that is vastly entertaining as well as adorable. I think it's adorable early on when we are shown the younger version of Garner's character, Jenna, when she's in middle school. Young Jenna is a very sweet and beautiful girl who doesn't think that she is adequate enough for the greater aspects of life. However, she misjudges many of her own qualities. Jenna is very determined to grow up fast, hence the title of this delightful movie.
This movie is sort of like a remake of Big, the 1988 movie starring Tom Hanks. The main difference is that here the story revolves around a girl instead of a boy. In both cases, the results are very pleasing. If I had to choose either one, it would be this one!
