Outlast 2 (2017 Video Game)
8/10
This is a true horror game.
19 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
When I first bought this game, I was a bit skeptical about if it's going to be as good as the first game because when the first game was released, the bar was set really high and the expectations were also high for the sequel.

Needless to say that I was not disappointed.

Pros: The gameplay is smooth and easy to learn as it is the same as the first game but with a few new features. The creepiness of the environment helps with the tension. Amazing characters and great enemies and a great learning curve. The Content's shock factor can't get anymore shocking than a cult with a lot of satanism and a part where your character gets sexually assaulted by a group of cultists during an orgy as well as a implication of a child being sexually abused by the cult.

Cons: The ending, in my opinion, was a bit of a letdown but was a good conclusion. The gameplay does get repetitive even with new features. The enemies can get a bit generic. The fact that you have to record a lot of things in order to progress without a problem can get tedious. The opening, while setting the stage for the game, is a bit bland.

Overall: The game, while having a few setbacks that prevents me from giving this game a 10/10, is a very well-made game. Red barrels definitely gave me a really scary and traumatic experience in the form of a great game. And this is a compliment.

So I'm giving this game an average score of an 8.5/10. While the whole game was well-crafted and very amazing, some of the things in the game as well as the opening cutscene prevented me from giving it a perfect score.

While not Oscar-worthy, it is a very good movie that you should watch.
22 May 2019
I'm 18 years old. And I'm the type of person who doesn't get emotional during a sad movie/tv/video game scene. I mean I did cry during Bambi and the lion king, but it was a short amount of time before I composed myself. This movie though. This movie was a challenge to compose myself while watching.

This movie is emotionally powerful. From the story, to the many scenes where I couldn't compose myself, and the fact that this is a story set around an actual genocide made me overwhelmed with emotion.

The only reason why I rated this an 8/10 is that while the film was good, it's very disturbing, given the subject matter. As well as the enemy soldiers kinda acting generic and a bit like stormtroopers.

Bo Burnham: Make Happy (2016 TV Special)
10/10
Loved all of it.

This Netflix original comedy special is one of the best out there. One of my top 3 along with Relative disaster and both Dave Chapelle sketches. This is one of the comedy specials that you should show your friend if he asks which comedy specials are good. But just as a warning, viewer discretion is advised when showing to kids and certain people due to some subjects being talked about like suicide and other offensive subjects.

Loved the film. But, left me with a few questions about the real life events that the film is based off of.

I'm 17 rn and as a gift I got to go see one R-rated film in theaters as a gift. This might sound not as good of a gift but to me I was excited because I chose this film as my first R-Rated film I wanted to see in theaters. My birthday was in May so I did have to wait, but I was okay with it. When I watched the film in theaters, I came out of the theater in shock and awe from how amazing it was. From the story to the humor to the method that Ron Stallworth used to take down the KKK. Even though I thought this movie was the best, it did leave me with some questions about some small details like who is Adam Driver's character based off of if he isn't a character created only for the film and if it was that easy for Ron to Fool David Duke into believing that Adam Driver's character is the same person on the phone. Despite all that, this movie is funny in a dark kind of way.

Firefly (2002–2003)

We need more Wash!
23 August 2018
Basically I got into the show when initially I only liked Star Wars, mass effect and nothing else. My friend and I had a bet that if I got more wins than losses, he'll watch the emoji movie but if I didn't get more wins than losses I would watch a sci-fi space opera show of his choice. I lost the bet and my friend chose firefly due to me being one win off from having the same amount of wins and because he thought it would welcome me to another space opera. Basically when I started watching the series (him and I watched together whenever we got the chance because we wanted to actually know if the loser actually watched the movie or series as a punishment). And I have to say, this was a bet that I'm happy I lost. I felt a ton of emotions, from laughter from Wash's First scene where he's playing dinosaurs to more dramatic and darker stuff, I say that this is a crew that is close to toppling Star Wars' title as my favorite series. I enjoyed everything about this series, but it was held back by one thing: it's short lifespan. I know bigger fans would say that our wishes were the creators command when they released serenity, while it did give me and others more to watch, I really wanted the tv show to reboot. I loved the show and I was surprised that they canceled it too soon, but I really hope they either reboot the series with the main cast with a show that will last longer than the original series or they decide to renew the series for more seasons. And I really want to know the lore of firefly.

NCIS (2003– )

Loved the show a lot

Warning: Spoilers
I got hooked into this show due to how the show revolves around cases involving the navy and the marines. And due to my fascination with military stuff, I was hooked from a very young age. I was 2 when the series started so when I was between the ages 7-9 I would always sneak downstairs when my mom was watching and just watched from under the table. I would give this show a 10/10, but the thing that held me back from giving it a perfect 10 was that the newer seasons had fan favorites like Ziva, Tony and Abby leave the show. And those characters were amazing and gave the actors who are going to play the characters replacing them a very high standard to beat. I think as long as either McGee, Gibbs and Ducky are still in the show, then the show might have a chance. But I think the show might be done for if Either Gibbs, McGee or Ducky leaves the show.

Despite the removal of fan favorite characters, this show is amazing with a huge cast chemistry and a bit of comedy in the mix and a show that is great for fans of police procedural drama and military fans alike. Think of this show as csi but with more laughs and a good amount of action.

Do not read past this part if you don't want spoilers about what happened to what character. If you disregard this message, you can't say I didn't warn you.

This review is going to contain spoilers for anyone who hasn't watched the show past season 10 because of the following seasons has characters leaving and getting killed off. What happened to Ziva, Abby and Tony are as follows:

Ziva: gets killed off in season 11, leaving Tony with the daughter named Tali that she and Tony had together Tony: Resigns after the season 13 finale to raise Tali, the daughter he had with Ziva. Abby: Gets severely injured in a failed assassination attempt that killed CIA Agent Reeves, recovers got the hitman who tried to kill her to confess, and resigns to accompany agent Reeves to England and starts a charity in Reeves' honor that helps the homeless.

Outlast 2 (2017 Video Game)

Not as good as the first game, but is very damn close to it.
30 June 2018
When I played outlast two, the bars were set very high for the sequels to beat. When I got to play this game at a friends house, I was excited to see if the sequel actually beat the first game. The answer is no, but outlast two was very damn close to raising the expectations. While the game was scary, the sequel held back the psychological horror factor unlike the first game where the developers go all out. The game did give me a lot of scares throughout, but I wasn't traumatized at all from the gameplay, like the first game. The mountain setting and the cult added some sense of dread to the game, but it wasn't as unsettling as the asylum setting and the asylum patient enemies from the first game. But still, despite its flaws, Outlast 2 is a frightening game that despite its flaws and the fear factor being held back that is an enjoyable experience when playing. When I played this game and the first one I was connected to a heart rate monitor and had either one of my siblings or my friend record my heart rate. But this game didn't make my heart beat as fast as the first game, which I had a crap ton of anxiety when playing.

Side-note for parents: like the first game, this isn't a game for kids as it contains unsettling material, graphic violence, and strong language. But between outlast and this game, this one is more for kids as outlast one will cause some psychological damage to your kids after playing it. While outlast two will just give the kids some anxiety.

Outlast (2013 Video Game)

This game does not disappoint with the scare factor.

Warning: Spoilers
When I saw that this game was free for Xbox live gold members for a month, I knew I had to get it. When I started playing, it gave me a warning about what I'm getting into. The game had a dark tone throughout even in the beginning when it usually isn't scary if it isn't a silent hill game. The game looks amazing, the mechanics where you can't fight back and need to conserve your batteries to see in the dark adds more tension, and the creatures are terrifying, including Dr. trager. This game does not hold back, and once you reach the end of the game where your character is shot and killed just makes you sigh in relief that the stressful game is over.

(Note: Parents, this game is not for kids except for teenagers, like me, as this game is super scary and also contains graphic nudity, strong language, and very graphic violence including a scene where you have to watch your character getting two of his fingers cut off by Dr. Trager and shows your character screaming in pain and the aftermath where you vomit.)

Scary game that is in competition with outlast
30 June 2018
I played this game for the first time when my brother plugged in the switch last night. When my brother fell asleep, I looked at his games and saw this which immediately got my attention. When I played it, I was in awe about the game. It's scary, it's dark and the creatures are terrifying. (I'm giving this an 9 out of 10 since while I played a perfect game in my opinion, I had to deal with some kinda terrible graphics and a little bit of frame rate drop that can be a bit annoying, but can be avoided.)

Great game

I'm usually a gamer who works alone most of the time. Sometimes I play co-op with friends. But when me and my friend played this game together, it gave me a hint that games like this is the reason why I play co-op games more often.
