The Walking Dead: Say Yes (2017)
Predictable, lazily written. TWD still has not redeemed itself.
It's safe to say that S7 so far has been a complete sh*t show. The pacing has been all over the place, there have been several questionable writing choices, and the show seems to jump from soap drama to gory thriller seemingly at random. This episode is no different.
(Minor spoilers here)
When Rick and Michonne first climb up on to the roof, Michonne utters the line "We can't stay up here for long". If the writers could get any less subtle they'd have to burst through the door and scream "ROOF GON COLLAPSE LMAO" themselves. Anyway, that's exactly what happens.
So continuing on, Rick manages to somehow kill a CG deer (or at least I think that's what happened, otherwise the deer was just caught by like 8 slow ass f*ing zombies) and Michonne runs over to help rick, only to see some zombies grubbing on some meat. Of course the audience is made to think that Rick was just killed off in the middle of the damn 12th episode of the 16 episode season, but of course, it's the deer being eaten and rick busts out of a box... or something? And then he THROWS Michonne her damn sword. Like holy f*ck man, that's how people lose arms! Didn't she drop it right by her side anyway? How did it end up on the other side of the deer?
All in all, this episode definitely lacks writing effort and continuity seems to be all over the place. Definitely not the worst of S7 and definitely not the best, it's just a very bland mediocre episode.
