generic teen sci-fi romance
28 April 2016
OK , i didn't know there was a book series on this but after 30min and the way the movie was edited i just guessed...

i like sci-fi but this wasn't it... i mean comon ! how many more time do we have to see the cliché of young teen see another taking a dive half naked... well this movie is just that full of cliché and quite uninteresting , i'm pretty sure the book are a way better read.

half alien, half human pretty boy who choose to be human because of love, alien who justify wiping humanity because we do it ourselves...

that's just a few of the ultra boring cliché you'll be hammered with.

just go watch twilight if you like that genre, it was way less cliché than this.

simply the best comics book movie in a long time.
28 March 2016
When i read some of the negatives critics of this movie i sometime wonder if we've been watching the same movie, either they didn't understand the movie or were trying to nitpick details they didn't like because you know: the superman's cry at the end of MoS.

I can understand some comics fans not liking the realistic / philosophical approach to comics books character , some god-like but i for one wanted a realistic approach to a world with superpowered beings for a long time and this movie does it.

So simply put if you want to see the DC universe put in a reality check situation this is it, a comic book movie for Adult, a movie with fictional character that make you believe they could exists.

and even then, for a running time of 2h33 i did not once felt bored, it kept me entertained from start to end.

thumbs up Zack ! and everyone's involved.

Dorothy Mills (2008)

very nice movie.

a solid and fresh story with great actings especially the 2 main leads.

2 surprising twists, one around the middle when you realize what is happening to dorothy and one in the end which explains it all, what makes it great is you do not see this coming, well at least i didn't.

remember that crappy movie with nicolas cage about a crazed community on an island ? well this is not at all like that altho i thought it would be when i read the synopsis.

so if you think you know the story because it involves a closed community living on an island with the main lead being an outsider, think again.

there are many crappy movie in the genre, this is not one of them.

as a bonus the psychiatrist is very easy on the eye ;)
