One of my favorite episodes but did anyone notice VJ Trundle never spoke a word? Just wondering why...

Anyone notice?
26 August 2020
The VJ Trundel episodes were one of my favorites. I'm actually watching it now on WGN but is it just me or did anyone else notice the VJ character had no dialog at all? I don't think he ever spoke. Very interesting...

Fanatic (2019 TV Movie)

Should have read the reviews first

OMG, this has to have been one of the worst movies I've ever seen. You can tell by the date of this writing I was looking for something to do during the pandemic. The plot was horrible, dialogue was horrible, kind of reminded me of a bad Tyler Perry movie. The police sheriff AKA Eddie Winslow was just awful, he always plays Bad characters. At one point it looked like they were trying to duplicate the movie Misery but the movie was miserable

Is this a Tyler Perry series

This reminds me of a Tyler Perry series. I'm on episode 3 and still confused. There's really no plot to it and the dialogue is absolutely awful

Horrible Acting
28 March 2020
I watch all the house flipping shows only to pick up some design ideas. You can also pick up a few tips regarding do's and don'ts. However, this is the worst bunch of actors I've ever seen. They over act and it's hilarious. That's one reason why I like to watch it

First Time Flippers (2013– )

Novices actually think they can do this

Yes, it is a train wreck but I like to watch it. I know it's produced but you see a depiction of regular people making a mess. I have learned a few things from it too. Why is it that none of the black flippers are successful?

I find it funny when at the beginning, all these people, with no experience at all, talk about all the work they're going to do. I hope it stays on. I like this show and Renovation Realities.

It was OK
22 March 2020
As you can tell by the date of this posting, (coronavirus pandemic) I was looking for some Black Cinema movies to watch. A little stereotypical and too much use of the N word but all in all, it wasn't a bad movie. Never heard of any of the actors, so the acting could've been better. A bit predictable at some points but I was disappointed with the way it ended with Carmen.

I just wish it showed black women in a better light.

The Doris Day Show (1968–1973)

Pretty Good Show
16 March 2020
Because of the coronavirus I've been staying home and binge watching a lot of classic TV shows and found this one. I remember watching it when I was younger. It's actually a cute show, one of the few shows in that era that features African-American actress. In season 5 there's a young Glen Turman playing a photographer. The first season has a plot where Doris and her young boys were picked for a photoshoot for a milk advertisement. They wanted to show a family with 2 boys and 2 girls so each boy was allowed to bring a female friend home from school and one of the boys brought home a little black girl. Doris and her family found nothing wrong with it but the advertiser was livid. Needless to say they never mention why, tiptoed around it but it was very interesting for that time.

Awful
15 February 2020
I thought it was just me but I see others share my opinion. This movie was awful. I kept falling asleep; watched it about 3 times but never got to the end of it because it was horrible. I watched it because of all the publicity and the previews actually made it interesting but not a good movie at all. IMO it was just Brad Pitt's turn to get his Oscar because it wasn't deserved (IMO)

It's a Living (1980–1989)

Watching it now on Antenna TV
8 February 2020
I just found this show on Antenna TV. I remember when it came on in the early 80's because I just had a baby an was at home watching a lot of TV. I believe this is the show that catapulted Ann Jillian's career; for those of you who remember her being a sex symbol. I remember it was changed to Making a Living then back to It's a Living. Susan Sullivan was on Season 1 then left because she started working on Falcon Crest. Never got into the Louise Lasser character. It's a bit cheesy but it was the 80's right?

Was afraid to write a bad review, but I'm in good company

This is just my opinion, TP said he doesn't utilize a writer's room or other writers, but maybe he should. I respect & am proud of him but it's obvious he never went to film school or had any training in cinema. The scene in the diner is hilarious, look at the gentleman in the background. The dialog in the courtroom was just plain dumb. I kind of enjoyed the fast pace scenes because sometimes courtroom scenes can be dragged out. Most film makers have consultants (i.e. experts, if the movie takes place in a hospital, you have an MD on set to ensure the dialog and verbiage is correct). Obviously TP doesn't and it's apparent in this film as well as all his projects. The concept and plot twist was good but just awful writing, producing and acting. And what about the final scene? No emergency personnel? They just walk out of the house like that. Just laughable.

It was OK
10 September 2019
The fact that I was the only one in the theater speaks volumes. It was both an awesome and creepy experience. This movie wasn't promoted at all which is a disservice; I happened to see it on ET months ago. I gave it 5 stars because I didn't hate it that much; it was good to see Melissa McCarthy in another role other than comedy. I've never been a Tiffany Haddish fan but I actually enjoyed her in this film; she was a lot more subdued than the over the top characters she plays. The movie does contain a LOT of violence and a few scenes in the bathroom that could be a bit bothersome but other than that, I must be in the minority because I kinda liked it. There is a twist to the plot but I won't spoil it. Go see it, you may like it too.

Anybody catch the shade to "45"?? LOL

The Wrong Cruise (2018 TV Movie)

A little predictable
29 July 2018
First this movie should have been called Dumb and Dumber, mother and daughter both go off with perfect strangers which is a No-No, especially in a foreign country. Other than that the movie was okay. The only thing I don't understand is how they were able to convince the Mexican police about what happened.

If Loving You Is Wrong (2014–2020)

Horrible
8 October 2014
I have to agree with Pattana746. I am a Tyler Perry fan and will continue to support him, however, this show is awful. The acting is horrible and the actors are even worse (except for the African American actor with the nick name "Malik"; I can't remember his name at the moment).

All of his TV shows have the same problem, the story lines are OK but he goes over the top. I understand this is TV and for entertainment purposes only, but come on. Edgar, the cop character??? Give me a break. We all know there are good & bad cops out there but to shoot someone and go around bragging about it to all of your friends. REALLY....

He also tries to make this too much like an old school soap opera, I'm waiting for the "cliffhanger" music at the end of each scene. Why not take time for character development before you cram us with all of the drama in the first episode.

This is only one person's opinion, but I will continue to support Mr. Perry's future endeavors.
