Slender Man (2018)
reviews are too harsh
From the moment you see the trailer you know what type of movie it's going to be. It's not supposed to be a deep drama that leaves you thinking about life.
This movie does its job just fine for the genre it is! Like many others, like countdown, truth or dare, where the cast might have been a tad stronger they are all similar; it's an entity where ultimately they can't defeat.
It has its cliches, sure and it works. The movie didn't really lied to you where you have to give it a 1 or 2 because you feel cheated. It's stripped bare and delivers on what it promises. Does not deserve the 3.9. I've seen way worse...just today.
They/Them (2022)
Yall too harsh
Horror comes in diferentes shapes and POVs, you can criticise it sure, it had pacing issues, but it did the most important which was you root for the characters they were well acted, and felt real...familiar.
I believe the movie could easily have been a thriller, like exploring more about the backstory, and other characters like the wife for example, i love horror, but maybe in this one the slasher aspect was unnecessary!
However, I think it's nice to take risks and explore other aspect of life, let's have more queer horror!
Gone in the Night (2022)
Great and familiar actors!
I watched this movie because I recognised the actors and had seen the trailer before it intrigued me. I just feel like the story wasn't really there, the pacing was weird too. It was fine FOR me, but it might be good or even great for YOU.
Watch it for yourself!
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
a masterpiece
As real as it can be, we know that there's no superheroes in real life however, when you watch this movie you can't help but realise how accurate these human reactions are. The most accurate portrayal of Superman, Batman and Us (humans) yet.
I'm Dying Up Here (2017)
Underrated
One of my favorite shows of all time. It was genuine with brilliant acting, deserved a lot more.
