THERI - Review Firstly, the Movie is made for Family audience and for Vijay's wide fan base. So expecting something new from his pattern is not fair. Typical Vijay Film with all ingredients packed well with action, emotions, and fun.

Have to appreciate Atlee's effort to come out of his comfort zone to make a MASS entertainer with a Superstar like Vijay is commendable.

Coming to the Movies Plot : A Simple line - a Cop Revenge Drama tailor made for Vijay's Screen Presence and his Acting Skills.

Vijay the man who steals the show completely from the word go till the Title card ends. His efforts have seen in his performance, where he takes his different getup and mannerisms very Subtle and Warm.

He excels both as Joseph Kuruvilla and Vijay Kumar. His variations in his acting for both characters are tremendous and can say one of the Best portrayal in Vijay's career. He has showed his performance with good mix of emotions, action, joy and as a father he controls over his anger all through the movie is wonderful to watch.

As usual he is at his best in Dancing skills, singing, comic sense and his attitude stands out all over the film. The major highlight of the film is Vijay's screen presence and his Charisma. Look out for his little gimmicks like (Rajinikanth's style) in and there which makes any Vijay Fan go crazy..

Director Mahendran made his debut with a stellar performance as a Corrupt politician and his dialogue delivery and his voice stands out strongly.

The plot looks very old and Atlee handles it with different with his screenplay and it makes us not to feel bored. The Scenes which involve Vijay and Mahendran was well made.

Baby Nainika was one the highlight of the film and she is adorable and made her debut very neatly and she stays in everyone's heart for sure and the baby dubbed her own voice was very appreciable. Hats off baby ! Samantha had a very serious and a lovely role and she excels with good reactions and emotions. The Vijay - Samantha Jodi looks perfect on screen. The romance portion have worked out well but it lacks the freshness which audience would expect from Atlee. Apart from that Amy Jackson tried her part to her looks and character was different from her past appearances. (Motta) Rajendran has done a neat job with what required for his role.

GV Prakash kumar made his 50th - and is a memorable one with Vijay - Atlee Combo. But he scored well with BGM than Songs which are very normal. The melody songs stands out with the situation and the intro song showed the dance skills of Vijay. BGM was pukka for a MASS entertainer like Theri, and he utilized it very well.

Atlee have utilized Vijay's presence and made a story which is very predictable and tried to attract family audiences with the old template. Being a student of Director Shankar, he could have made a story with good social message in it. But he failed in it rather he made a simple story line which required a Superstar like Vijay to take it to further level.

A Treat for all Vijay Fans. General Audience will also like the film overall.

Firstly welcome Goundamani sir after long Gap ! The Movie has a serious plot where Village farmers are struggling for their needs and the Politicians who stops the process to be done..

Goundamani scores both in comic and serious reactions and his performance is top notch.. !

Goundamani is same as he was before with his timing duologue's, and his body language, still entertaining to watch him. Age doesn't matter for his talent and his followers !

The music could have been better and also the cinematography, they could have shown the village little more lovely and lively with the lens.

Director have given a serious story with a neat screenplay and the elements are very engaging, but songs are weak which makes as a speed breaker for the screenplay.

Goundamani is the only actor i can say who can easily satire about anyone including politicians by his duologue's and mannerisms. Director made the script by making a man's anger for farmers in a different way and it excels thoroughly.

The major plus for the movie is duologue's -- hats off, and the dialog delivery from Goundamani is sure shot ! Straight to the throat..

Overall the movie is watchable except songs and it has good elements with good screenplay in and content.

The project would be far better if it had the better Casting (other than Goundamani) and the value, it could be having a different output also the Result ! Verdict : A great Comeback for Goundamani became a normal Comeback, because of Project value and Supporting Castings.

Firstly Congrats for the team for making such a wonderful attempt.. Special Thanks for VIJAY for doing this kind of movie totally contrast to his MASS appeal..

People who gives negatives about the film is totally disagree. Firstly we should have the mind to appreciate new things what they have achieved and support their effort. If don't have such mindset please don't speak up ! The film has fantastic CG work which is not lesser to Hollywood movies maybe 80% they have achieved ! Hats Off The movie lacks in Storyline and screenplay - Yes ! Director could have tried to keep the storyline simple and make the Visual grandeur. So people says there is no content, they have worked out 100% for Visual magic here..

Also for a Fantasy adventure movie, you cannot expect Performance oriented or concept oriented. Its fun filled ride for families and kids - A Visual treat ! Music is not up-to the mark - Yes. The fault is there in Music department totally which doesn't gel with the fantasy genre ..

Also director tried to make a Tamil film which has Hollywood movie flavor, Hence its a first time people watching this, they feel its not up-to what they expected..

Apart from the General audience, people who hates Vijay started making fun out of this film and his effort is surely underestimated.

Vijay's commitment and hard work totally is Commendable! Way to go.. Younger generation actors will follow his path..

There is lot of loop holes in story but no blame for the effort ! MUST WATCH if you are a General audience.. Even Vijay Haters will Love this kind of Film, especially Kids..

KATHTHI : Another Brilliance from the director A.R Murugadoss. Director's touch with social message with electrifying Mass elements made Kaththi more engaging with all kind of audiences. He has the ability to make people sit all over the film without moving aside and he made the screenplay perfect with entertainment factors.

Coming to Vijay this is one of his best in recent years, and will remain one of his best all his career too. Performance wise he has emerged to a next level and proved himself he is the next leading SUPERSTAR of south. He has given all his performance for both Jeevanandham and Kathiresan in his own style.

The Plot : The major plot of the film is about Farmers Plight in our nation and it was shown in a right manner with some realistic performances and it adds color to the story very well. As jeevanandham Vijay excels in Emotional scenes and as Kathiresan he is asusual with his own comic and stylish Avatar. Vijay is one of the Major plus for the movie and he travelled all over with ease and made it perfect treat to watch.

Anirudh's Musical : The another major plus for movie is Music from young talent Anirudh. He is special at background scores and made a Punch with Kaththi and till date its one of his best. Theme music for both Hero and Villain has become more popular with all audiences and he has reached next level in in career after Kaththi.

Apart from Vijay the main person was Neil Nitin Mukesh as antagonist, he is apt for his role and made his own voice for this film and his effort paid him. He has done his best for his neaty role. Samantha joins with Vijay for the first and the chemistry between them has worked out well. Samantha looks cute and still she doesn't have more scenes to perform and we expect more from her in future and we expecting director's to use the natural performer like Samantha must be given more opportunities.

Apart from them Sathish also done his part well and did a commandable job in comedy as well as in some serious portions. The Village old peoples who have acted needs to be appreciated and they have truly done their part so easy and neatly for the stories plot. Director should be appreciated to select the real village farmers to play important roles in the film.

Verdict : A Must watch film for all. And for Vijay and A.R Murugadoss this is another Milestone after Thuppakki.
