The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1994)
Not a bad movie for a fan of the series's
A lot of people rubbished this movie I found it good cheesy fun the acting is not bad as the actor's play the part pretty well and overall great movie for a fan of the series with many references to the original classic.
Daddy's Deadly Darling (1973)
Video shop horror
Jessie Vint was the only actor I recognised back when I hired this movie from the video shop back in the day since then this movie fell into obscurity.
I found a VHS transfer on DVD a few years ago and it now has a Blu-ray release.
If you love cheesy 70"s-80"s horror then I highly recommend it
However buy the Blu-ray restored release if you think it's worth a watch.
The Last of the Knucklemen (1979)
More than a movie it's a 70" Australian gem
I first saw this on VHS back in the early 90"s and I was lucky enough to buy a DVD copy a few years ago.
Meet the rag tag bunch of Aussies outcast miners in a time long gone 70"s Australia.
With an all Australian cast and some great one-liners combined with humour and drama.
Highly recommended.
Interviews (2004)
More than a movie it's a 70"s Australian gem.
I first saw this on VHS back in the early 90"s
I loved settings and the rag bag bunch of Aussies outcasts of a time long gone 70"s Australia.
With an all Australian cast some great one-liners
and some fun , laughs and drama I was lucky enough to buy a DVD copy a few years ago and this is one that will stay forever in my collection.
Shock 'Em Dead (1991)
Back to the 90"s b-horror
I enjoyed Tracy Lords b- horror flick Not Of This Earth so I bought Shock em Dead on DVD
As a teenager back in the 90"s I enjoyed the 90"s vibe of this film and the cheesy comedy horror theme's.
Tracy Lords has a very colourful IMBD page read it !
The Worst of Faces of Death (1987)
Much of the same hi light's of the first three films.
The worst of Face's of death was in the box set I bought.
It contains hi light's of the first three films with the terrible commentary of the Dr Felis as he explained Dr Grose has now departed this series.
I'm giving it 5 star's based on the fact it kept my party guests entertained back in my early twenties goes well with beers.
Willard (2003)
What's your major malfunction Willard?
Fun movie entertaining and great cast and acting you see the underdog fight back against the bullies with the help of his rats but by doing so he becomes the villain, even if horror movies are not your thing see it.
The Last Man on Earth (1964)
Before The Omega Man there was The last Man On Earth
I first watched simlar movie The Omega Man before watching this
I liked The last Man On Earth better , I liked the character Vincent Price played as the humble family doctor and I liked the story and horror elements and filming locations.
Highly recommended for horror apocalyptic movie lover's my covid lockdown comfort movie.
Faces of Death II (1981)
Part 2 I like better
Following on from volume one came part 2 upon watching my bootleg copy back in my late teens I found part 2 more up-to-date and overall better documentary.
Packed with the same shocking half fact half fake scenes I took it upon myself to buy a DVD copy now as a middle aged and sadly desenitised to violence we see in our world today I went to sleep.
We Are Still Here (2015)
Modern old school horror
Great entertaining modern horror with great acting filmed in the old way with many references to 70"s horror films.
The Amityville Asylum (2013)
Amityville franchise no end in sight
I watched this with very little expectations I was surprised to find it different themed to the franchise, different to haunted house or cursed items run. Starring the male actor who starred in The Nun.
I recommend it to the Amityville franchise lover's only.
30 Days of Night (2007)
Underated gem
Modern five Star horror starring Amityville horror remake star Melissa George
Underated modern gem entertaining from start to finish I bought a DVD special edition no regrets.
Don't Go in the Woods (1981)
Cheesy but entertaining
From the VHS day's horror section a crazy mountain man stalks the forest and the kill mounts and mount's
I first saw this in the VHS day's and when I saw a cheap DVD copy I couldn't resist the purchase mostly unknown cast I found it a cheesy and entertaining gem for love's of eightees slashers.
Faces of Death (1978)
A shocking film of a time long gone
I heard the rumours of this film as a teenager it was the banned film people whispered about I finally found the contact in my late teens and bought a bootleg copy.
To my surprise I was shocked at certain scenes but I was not fooled by the Bear scene a fake.
Today with the internet and the violent world we see on it this movie is of a bygone era.
Executions (1995)
Faces of death got there first but this is the better film
I remember how controversial this documentary was on its release upon buying a VHS copy I was surprised to find how well this documentary was put together it shocked and sickened
but most of all it was educational.
