I Do, I Don't (2010)
intimate and compelling look at question of divorce in Christianity- raises great questions!
I think I might have seen a more recent cut of "I Do, I Don't" than the reviewer below because it's definitely structured so that you know it's solely Gil's journey, and what an interesting journey it is. I think this documentary is a really cool and very personal look at a world that I didn't know that much about but also something I assume many people can relate to. These kids are SO YOUNG when they choose to get married, and as a secular individual it's fascinating to watch this dynamic personality struggle with his faith when things fall apart (no spoilers on how the struggle ends up). I imagine people who know a little more about Christianity's attitude toward divorce might find the questions raised by this movie all the more compelling, but I think this is a refreshing and really thought provoking documentary, no matter your attitudes toward faith.
