Moon Knight: The Goldfish Problem (2022)
Best start to any Marvel series so far.
If you liked the confusion that Wanda Vision began with, this is for you.
My wife asked halfway through, "is there some kind of backstory I'm missing?" (she's not a big Marvel person). The lack of understanding is why I loved it though. Praying it stays good as the story develops.
The Righteous Gemstones: As to How They Might Destroy Him (2022)
Tried to hard to be shocking
With the exception of BJ's sister, it's fair to say that I disliked every character in this episode. They taken all restraints off of Judy and she's just not funny anymore.
Only Murders in the Building: To Protect and Serve (2021)
Rating low for the acting in this one.
Mom and the cop gotta go. Their involvement doesn't help the story and all but ruined this ep.
Ted Lasso: Man City (2021)
My wife and I enjoy this show but wow....this episode took it to a new level.
We assumed this would proceed down the predicable path and weave its way to the conclusion I think most assumed. So glad it's not.
Black Widow (2021)
Carried by lovable actors but even they can't overcome the silliness
After two years without a movie, this was a disappointing "below-average" Marvel experience. Questions I have: What's with the over the top action scenes that look like something from Fast and Furious? Natasha will never die when she can simply jump out of any window and always find a railing grab. Or hang from a helicopter and pluck people with seemingly super-human strength.
If this weren't a Marvel movie (which it doesn't need to be since it does nothing to expand the overall MCU story), I'd probably give it a 3 or 4.
Loki: Lamentis (2021)
What was the point of this ep?
Loved the first two episodes but this one fell flat? Are these two supposed to be bonding? The story didn't progress except for one tiny nugget about the TVA near the end. And don't get me started about the ridiculous physics of the falling debris. Marvel, you messed this one up, sorry.
Dark (2017)
So nice to see a scifi series with a satisfying finish.
I can't say enough about this show. Know that you will feel stupid at times just trying to keep up. Stick with it though, it's so worth it.
