Bombay Velvet (2015)
4/10
Bombay Velvet is a bravely attempt with badly written and directed film but nothing more.

I watched Bombay Velvet today..First I have never been a big fan of Anurag but to be honest with you, I really loved and enjoyed Dev D and gangs of wasseypur and this time neither I was expecting from him a record breaking film nor have high hopes as well because I knew Bombay velvet is a such attempts usually end up being box office failures in India but at least I was expecting a masterpiece film... I decided not to bother reading the reviews, what a mistake that was!!!. Anurag disappoint me this time not only me but vast majority of the audience who watched BV feel the same way I do.

While its not one of the worst films I've ever watched but it was close!

Bombay Velvet belongs to Johnny Balraj ( Ranbir), a normal good guy gone bad.

Bombay Velvet is over-long and drawn out, but the performances of the some actors are good to pass up,especially Ranbir and Karan but still sometimes the acting didn't feel sincere except Ranbir as a J. Balraj. The other good things about the film are the makeup, clothes, style,Great cinematography, general 70s vibes. But apart from this, this movie really sucks.

Btw, you can completely see so much of Martin Scorsese's form being completely ripped off in this film and got nothing new for the ones who commonly watched Scorsese movies.

The production and the costume design were AMAZING! The ending is predictable, there may some scenes are enjoyable but overall, this is a bravely attempt with badly written and directed film but nothing more.

Thumps Up:

Acting Cinematography Soundtrack/Score & Set Design

Thumps down:

Writing/very weak script Dialogue Plot Editing

Do yourself a favor, skip this one and wait until its on TV. I wish I had read the reviews before going to the theater.

I'll go with 4.5/10

Furious 7 (2015)
8/10
The ending made me cry and it was a GREAT way to put Paul to rest.
4 April 2015
Just got back.

Here is my short review:

If you've been following the series from the start, watched it grow, seen how the cast have become a family you will absolutely love it.

The tribute Paul at the end is poignant and very touching and will just cut you up.

As for the film as a film, they action is crazier than ever, there's some unnecessary camera moves and this one needs an even bigger suspension of disbelief, it barely pauses in between set pieces.

Statham is Statham – all that Transporter / War fight training is still present, Dwayne, missed you fella, always need more Rock.

Kurt was fabulous , see how his role expands for 8 New chick is okay, guess she'll be promoted to regular

But this film was all about Dom and his relationships with Letty and Brian.

The action, hey take it or leave it, call it stupid or enjoy it. The fights are absolutely amazing..But the character beats especially the last 10mins (Dom & Letty and the goodbye on the beach)..Tej as (Ludacris) and Roman as (Tyrese Gibson) were amazing and they had their moments..Everyone did a wonderful job!…… the stories in this series might be questionable but the character work and the relationships….. NOTHING comes close to matching The Fast and Furious Family

The ending had the entire theater crying.. RIP Paul

Baby (I) (2015)
8/10
My Short Review of Baby. Really enjoyed it
31 January 2015
Finally I watched Baby and here is my short review of the film.

Baby movie was brilliant. The cast has done a superb job in portraying their characters. Dany and Anupam 's performance were strong, while Tapseewas' was great in her 10 minute role. But it is Akshay that really makes the film terrifying. He is believably as Ajay and great. akki's performance is enough reason to see this film... The action is also done very well, which is nice. In addition, the cinematography and the sets are good, making the imagery really nice and the locations believable. However, there are two problems with the film.

First, the script is predictable but Neeraj's direction is what made me sit it on the tip of my chair almost all the time. bravo Neeraj. He is the real star of the film, Neeraj is one of the best Thriller directors working behind the camera today.

The second thing is the climax, many say its the best part of the film, while I found it, its the weakest , don't get me wrong because I have seen Argo before and if you seen it then definitely you would agree with me. but overall the film is good and deserves 200 Cr,
