The Wild Wild West Revisited (1979)
West and Gordon still deliver!
The classic espionage TV series The Wild Wild West, which ran from 1965 to 1969 on CBS, was followed by two TV movie sequels: The Wild Wild West Revisited (1979) and More Wild Wild West (1980). The original series episodes ranged from thrilling espionage episodes to more comedic and campy ones, but the follow-up TV movies continued only in the campy and comedic vein. That was considered a let down by some fans of the series who were hoping for something closer to the more serious episodes of the show. I can understand their viewpoint, but I found both movies entertaining for what they were: a fun bit of escapism featuring the reunion of two favorite characters and the actors who played them. The chemistry between these guys can't be beat. Both movies have their weak points, but Conrad and Martin, reunited as an older West and Gordon, make for fun viewing.

Dirty Dozen: The Deadly Mission (1987)
Deadly and Fatal make a great double feature
I highly recommend picking up the two Dirty Dozen double feature DVD sets. The first one includes the classic 1967 film The Dirty Dozen with it's 1985 made for television sequel Dirty Dozen: The Next Mission. There's also a documentary on the making of the original Dirty Dozen and a historical documentary on the real life Filthy Thirteen. The other double feature DVD contains the 1987 made for television sequel Dirty Dozen: The Deadly Mission and it's 1988 made for television sequel Dirty Dozen: The Fatal Mission. Fatal and Deadly make an affordable DVD package that is infinitely re-watchable and highly entertaining if you don't take 'em too seriously. There's plenty of humor and action in this double feature. It's a great way to spend a few hours kicking back with a quality beverage. Give the Deadly Mission / Fatal Mission double feature DVD a spin.

The Dirty Dozen: Next Mission (1985)
very entertaining if you don't take it seriously
I recommend purchasing the double feature DVD set of the original Dirty Dozen and it's 1985 made for television sequel Dirty Dozen: The Next Misssion. It's a very entertaining package that also includes a documentary on the making of The Dirty Dozen and documentary on the real life Filthy Thirteen. My favorite part of the set is Dirty Dozen: The Next Mission. It's cartoony yet infinitely re-watchable and highly entertaining if you don't take it seriously. The two other Dirty Dozen sequels are also available in a double feature DVD package. All three sequels have plenty of humor and action. They are a great way to spend a few hours kicking back with a quality beverage. Give the Dirty Dozen double feature DVDs a spin.
Death on the Nile (1978)
Ustinov is highly entertaining as Poirot
Peter Ustinov is an absolute joy to behold in the role of Hercule Poirot. He played Poirot in three theatrical films: Death On the Nile, Evil Under the Sun, and Appointment With Death. He also played Poirot in three TV movies: Thirteen At Dinner, Murder in Three Acts, and Dead Man's Folly. It's always a delight to spend time with Ustinov's Poirot. He's so much fun! The three Poirot TV movies starring Ustinov are now available in a three DVD set. I've had a great time watching these with friends and family and all of Ustinov's Poirot movies are worth watching and re-watching. My deep affection for Ustinov's Poirot grows with each viewing. He's brilliant and each of his Poirot movies are fantastic fun.

The Hound of the Baskervilles (1972)
one of my favorites
I have a great deal of affection for this movie. It's flawed, but it's a hoot! Granger certainly makes a unique and entertaining Holmes. The decision to cast Bernard Fox as Watson was a fabulous move. The cast also includes the always entertaining Anthony Zerbe and William Shatner too! I agree with another reviewer who noted that Holmes living on a hill overlooking London is definitely a nice touch. It truly conjures up the idea of Holmes as a protector of the city. This version of the classic tale deserves it's reputation as a cheap and cheesy TV movie, but it also deserves to be remembered as being hell of a lot of fun! I've had a ball enjoying this one on many occasions. Fun stuff!
Tarzan and the Lost City (1998)
I love this cheesy fun popcorn movie !
I can't complain at all about this movie. It gave me everything I was hoping for. It's cheesy and fun! I grew up on classic Tarzan flicks and jungle movies. I watched various classic Tarzans including Ron Ely and Johnny Weissmuller. I never missed a chance to catch a Tarzan movie on TV as a kid. Tarzan and the Lost City recaptures that type of childhood magic. It entertained me from start to finish. Its flaws are part of its charm and only add to the fun. All classic Tarzan movies have flaws. So what!? That's part of what makes 'em GREAT FUN! Tarzan and the Lost City is no exception. It provides this classic jungle movie fan with plenty of entertainment value. It's great fun with a big bowl of popcorn and a cold beverage!
Hit the Dutchman (1992)
fun gangster flick
I really enjoyed Bruce Nozick as Dutch Schultz in this fun gangster flick. Nozick's Dutch Schultz is one wild character and he makes this movie a treat. I was looking for some fun B movie escapism and this flick delivered. It's got a good cast, great musical score, and fine cinematography. Nozick's Dutch is one wild character! The scene in the grocery store is unforgettable! The exploding plate of spaghetti assassination is a hoot! The armored fortress like vehicle is a blast! Don't take this too seriously or expect it to be a documentary. Love B movies? Give Hit the Dutchman a try. I'm giving it such a high score because I had so much fun watching it.
The Fantastic Four (1994)
loved it!!
I recently watched this Fantastic Four movie with friends before seeing the 2005 version. We popped it in without knowing quite what to expect and loved it! Sure it's "corny", but that's the charm of it! It's as "corny" as classic comic books, cliffhanger serials, and vintage superhero cartoons. The cast is perfect for this type of superhero movie. Doctor Doom is certainly a lot more fun than the 2005 version turned out to be. The 2005 version hardly got to wear his Doom costume. This Fantastic Four isn't for everybody, but lovers of vintage comic books should dig it. My friends and I did. Those who do not like classic comic books should stay away. Fans of Golden Age and Silver Age comics should definitely grab a cold beverage, pop in the 1994 Fantastic Four, and have fun!
