Warning: Spoilers
In the scene where Memphis played by N.Cage is passing the list of cars around,Director Dominic has casted very neatly every car along with its performance and passion to be stolen! but i would like to write out the points where he could not make out or where mistakes happened...

When Memphis breaks the mirror off the Shelby Mustang, it remains hanging by it's wires. The problem with this is that Ford wasn't putting power mirrors on cars.

The whole premise of the movie is that Kip Raines by Giovanni Ribils who tries to fill in the list of cars and his brother had to finish it for the Russian crook. The idea that Kip would have the skill and manpower to do this, when the black gang that chases them later seems to specialize in this type of crime, is stupid. Even though he was the brother of Memphis, the most famous car thief in the area, this is quite a lapse by the Russian and almost impossible to swallow. The Russian may have thought that Kip was trained by Memphis and had the same connections. It's very possible as they were family. The famous "RAINES" The assumption would have been made that Kip worked alongside Memphis, not knowing that Memphis did not want Kip stealing cars.As he left his profession for kip's good carrier and a promise to his mom.

Regarding the theft of the 3 Mercedes, a huge issue is made of the fact that the cars cannot be stolen without the proper keys, which have to come from Germany. So how did the Caan kid get the dealership to order, have shipped and receive the keys within a couple of days? Even with a rush delivery, shipping would be at least overnight, and the keys would need time to be manufactured. Unlike the keys needs to have a duplicate ready to be dispatched by Some private Jet or so!!!

When Detective Castelbeck played by Delroy Lindo and his partner are searching the warehouse with the UV lights, they find the list of the cars written with the UV reactive ink. When Castelbeck raises his arm the power cable of the UV light can be seen going into his jacket sleeve to a power supply somewhere inside it. he he...The cord can be seen in a few other shots during this scene. It appears that they are using standard light fixtures, with UV bulbs, the same fixtures that you can get at any hardware store, ones that require them to be plugged in. Just because they do not show them plugging them in, doesn't mean they are battery operated.

When Castlebeck discovers the black light car list, he says that there are only a few cars that they should follow, the rarest ones. He chooses several to watch including a Hummer. When Sphinx played by Vinnie and Mirror Man steal the truck and are ramming the police unit, we can see from the badges on the hood and steering wheel that this is actually the Lamborghini LM SUV and not a Hummer!!!!

When the Raines brothers are taking refuge in the diner from the black gang, Kip sneaks out and hooks up the BACK of the Mercedes to the cable via the tow hook in the rear frame. When the wrecker leaves, the cable is connected to the FRONT axle which is ripped out. Kip actually loops the cable round both axles and attached the tow hook to the rear. So when the wrecker leaves, the cable is tightened and rips out the front axle. If the tow hook was just attached to one place, the car would just be dragged down the road.

Also the Artistic creation of The Russian crook was broken by Memphis - where his deal was in millions and why would one be worried about art and wooden carpentry! This Shot needs to be seen after reading, try to watch it at least twice.

I would rate it a 7 out of 10.it a watchable movie.

A cover to cover Fear!
22 November 2005
After Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous and Jerry Maguire, guess he had only Tom on his mind, who plays David Aames, as a spoilt Rich brat who inherits New York's Super seller Magazine named "Rise" The Movie begins in the streets with his Black Ferrari, where he sees the entire Times Square Empty!!! The best part I always wanted to hear the Directors commentary, when I got my own DVD, I heard it, right from the Producer that how it took them to Block the Entire Times Square - with the Mayor's permission all the shops and offices to be open but no living beings on site, it was physically made and no Digital mix or any graphics was used!! Really unbelievable shot!!! I heard they closed the shot in 3.5 hrs. Drawing the attention towards the accident that changed the life of this rich brat which made him feel incompetent in his life. His charms, smile and happiness were stolen by that single accident for which he gave himself. Another point to note – The sticker on David's car reads 2/30/01, a fictional date. On the commentary, Cameron Crowe says that it was an accident, it did make sense..the make up was sketched perfectly that how one could not face even his best friend and was wearing a mask for a party, even one would feel that in-composite. Also his love Sofia (Penelope Cruz) whom he visualizes as Julie (Cameroon Diaz) when he is in the ecstasy of making love with his girlfriend Sofia, who then turns in to Julie due to the strong subconscious mind taken over - is perfectly depicted by nice camera work! Although a lone character which brings his father's senses to him through Dr.Curtis McCabe (Kurt Russell) who wants to reveal him to the world what he went through, but Kurt Russell rides to the conclusion that he was not under any pressure but with science and its re-engineering or moreover a treatment, from Life Time a sci-balance program which makes him feel young even after 150 yrs as such – this is where the Director had to maintain his story but then takes as a tour and summarizes the climax on top of a building with a get together to prove that he has to come over his greatest fear "Height" and jumps! Well this is something, which the Dir could have emitted – I would rate this movie 6 out of 10 also a must see for Tom's performance.

A brief Narration of Morris and Anglin bros escape from Alcatraz! - blackmajor
21 November 2005
If there was ever an inmate who was destined to escape from Alcatraz, it was Frank Lee Morris. In the movie entitled "Escape from Alcatraz" starring actor Clint Eastwood, Morris was accurately portrayed as the keen and brilliant mastermind of one of the most famous prison escapes in history. The escape plan took nearly seven months to design, and it would necessitate the fabrication of clever decoys and water survival gear.

F L Morris had spent a lifetime navigating the prison system before his arrival on Alcatraz. From his infant years until his teens Morris was shuffled from one foster home to another, and he was convicted of his first crime at the youthful age of only thirteen. By the time he reached his later teens, Morris' criminal record would include a multitude of crimes ranging from narcotics possession to armed robbery, and he had become a professional inhabitant of the correctional system. He spent his formative years in a boys' training school, and then graduated.

Morris was credited by prison officials as possessing superior intelligence, and he earned his ticket to Alcatraz by building an impressive resume of escapes.

Frank's accomplices in the "Great Escape" were equally well acquainted with the dark world of organized crime. Brothers John and Clarence Anglin were also serving sentences at Alcatraz for bank robbery, having been convicted along with their brother Alfred. All three had been incarcerated at the Federal Penitentiary in Atlanta when they first became acquainted with Morris, and John and Clarence were eventually sent to Alcatraz following a sequence of attempted escapes.

i wud love to explain in detail but then....

After months of long preparation the inmates had completed fashioning all of the gear they needed for their escape, This what Clint had really shown his acting by the Direction of Siegel! I love the entire detail structure of the movie and wud be on my favo's...i have almost watched it more than 15times!!and Will do too...
