Selvaggi (1995)

The best Vanzina movie
19 April 2015
Surely the best vanzina comic movie, a group of tourists are catapulted from an in a desert island near Cuba from an airplane crash, they will have to survive, the progenitor of the modern survivor. The unlucky adventurers and their comic happenings are narrated magisterially by the voice of Leo Gullotta who is in first person involved in the event. The story develops from quotes of Defoe's ''Robinson Crusoe'' to Pino Daniele's one with ''a me mo piace o' blues'' and comedy gags are mostly based on the cultural backgrounds of the tourists which came from different Italian regions. Despite the awful movies background of Vanzina and differently from the average of his poor productions Selvaggi is a success ending up being a light comedy with more cultural references than expected and much less vulgarity than nowadays Vanzina's movies.
