Frank (2014)
an eccentric piece of work
watching this movie led me to have mixed emotions.the movie was sad, playful, weird and absurd. it felt like all those emotions had been pushed into a blender and served. thats exactly what this movie made me feel. definitely a unique movie.
the plot of the movie was original and i definitely enjoyed it. the acting was good and weird which quiet frankly only helped to maintain the eccentric feel of the movie. which is a good thing. acting especially from the likes of Michael fassbender, Maggie gyllenhaal and domnhall gleeson was absolutely amazing.
would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a good watch.
Legally Blonde (2001)
legally blonde
legally blonde is a fun movie to watch. it does not take it self too seriously and i don't think it expects us to either.
the whole movies about a blond girl who by getting herself into harvard law school treis to get her ex back by showing him that she too can be serious. through that the movie tries to show case a major social problem of indignity suffered by blond's.
the movie plot was average but along with few hilarious comedic takes and good acting it made for a really entertaining watch. acting performances delivered by reese witherspoon was good. i have always liked her acting and this movie she's at her best. other than that rest of the performances were pretty average even by selma blair who i've seen do better in a lot of other movies.
legally blonde is a fun movie to watch and is definitely entertaining.
Fast & Furious 7 (2015)
honestly i didn't get it
A lot of people told me about this movie being really good and apparently it also lived up to its 'hype'. I'm not a big fast and furious fan but i had seen all of the movies in the series. I honestly didn't get it why everyone thought this movie was amazing i personally thought it was one of the worst of the series. not the worst but definitely in the bottom 3.
the plot of the movie was pretty bland on strongly relied on its caste to make it a enjoyable run and it totally did.performance delivered by jason statham, the rock and vi diesel were really good and made up for some really cool characters that i couldn't help but like. the co caste was also good and actors like Michelle Rodriguez, Paul walker and tyresse Gibson only help fuel the great ensemble of caste it already had.
The movie showcases a lot of exotic places like abhu dhabi and Tokyo which were pretty fun to watch and action was really entertaining too but along the lines of it loses contact with realism and ultimately turns the whole movie a lit senseless.
fast and furious was a fun movie to watch and would give the necessary adrenaline rush that most action movie lovers expect.
The Best of Me (2014)
basically another Nicholas sparks
the best of movie is a cliché romantic movie. boy meets girl and then fall in love then must go through various troubles to recoil their love for each other.
the plot of the movie was pretty bland nothing that really interested me. the acting i would grade it to be something of an above average performance.the acting was still pretty delightful especially from the likes of Liana liberato and Michelle Monaghan. the soundtrack of the movie was pretty good too. it helped set the 'romantic' mood.
even when the story kinda falls flat on the surface along few acting performances. its still a pretty good watch. the use of camera lens and flares of all kind and use of extensive camera and lighting technique helped capture the beautiful essence of new orleans, Louisiana where the movie is set.
the best of me can make up for a great romantic watch with your partner or else its still a pretty decent watch if your 'up' for it.
Gone Girl (2014)
gone girl is an epic drama about vengeance and betrayal put together in a twisted manner.
gone girl is an amazing movie. through its 2 hours 30 min run i never felt that the movie was drifting off its premise. it had me at the edge of my seat through out and couldn't wait for the mystery to unravel. gone girl had me wrapped like a cold blanket of ice and the soundtrack only helped to make gone girl a chilling captivating experience(would like to take aside and give a thumbs up to Trent reznor and atticus Ross for doing such a wonderful job on the score). along with an amazing story gone girl also had strong hold of amazing acting and i do think that casting in comedy actors like Neil Patrick and Tyler perry who both have starred in strings of popular comedy movies was a pretty dumb thing to do. at the end i guess it worked well because both Tyler and Neil bring nothing new to the table. this is equalized by the amazing performance delivered by Rosamund pike and surprisingly good Carrie coon. who i got to admit did a pretty good job. Ben affleck in this movie is at his average. altogether gone girl is an amazing drama mystery movie with some really good acting and music and is a fun watch. it wouldn't let you down at any moment and you get what you expected. A David fincher classic.
