11.22.63 (2016)
One of the best series i've ever seen, left me thinking about it for days
First of all, let me just add that i never write reviews for movies or series, but after watching this one i felt like i had too. All i can say is that this is one of the best series, or mini series as you call it, that i've ever seen. I enjoyed every minute of it.
The story line is about a high school teacher, Jake Epping(James Franco) that travels back in time to 1963 to prevent the assassination of JFK. Only that sounds exciting, but there are so much more to it than that. James Franco does one of his best work here and he really fits into the role and it really reminds you of how underrated he is as an actor. But James Franco isn't the only one doing a great job in the movie, the whole cast is amazing and truly believable and of course the writers and producers and everyone involved. I have to say, for being a sci-fi movie it feels very down to earth and trustworthy. The movie offers a lot of emotions, it offers some surprising humor, sadness, thriller/mystery moments and also a lot of excitement. Sure, like most series it has a few slow moments and scenes, but the tension is always there from the beginning to the end. It keeps you on the edge of your seat.
The movie is very serious and professional and truly underrated and the only flaw is that it's too short. I never wanted it to end. I must confess that i haven't read the book yet, but after seeing this i kind of want to.
Although it was a year ago i watched 11.22.63 i feel the urge to rewatch it again. All i can say is that i truly recommend this movie for everyone, it won't disappoint you.
