In a word...BRILLIANT!
29 December 2006
This is without a doubt the best movie I've seen for 2006. I only just this minute finished watching it, and it was so powerful I HAD to say something about it. To be honest, this was a pretty crappy summer for the film industry...'Step Up', 'Lady In The Water', for example. But here comes Will, in what in my humble opinion is without a doubt his greatest performance EVER in a screenplay! People need to get over themselves. To all the jerk wads going on about how he should stick to action/comedy flicks etc, grow half a brain, acquire some depth and intellect, and THEN maybe you can appreciate this piece of work. I was so happy to see him in a role so far removed from the characters he usually goes for...the sex-symbol/heart-throb kinda stuff. He truly proved himself in this movie, and I think he deserves an Oscar nomination at the very least.

My Wife and Kids (2000–2005)
I don't even know when it all went downhill...
10 August 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Honestly, I remember when this show first started; I thought it was brilliant! I have always loved Damon Wayans (especially in In Living Color) and when I saw that he was going to have his own family show, I thought perfect! I can't wait! Then, when I saw Tisha Campbell, I thought okay, wouldn't have chosen her, but alright.

When the show started, I was relieved. I was actually able to sit and watch, enjoy some good laughs...generally have fun watching it. But then, I went away for a year, wasn't able to watch it and have only gotten that chance recently. All I can ask myself is "WHAT HAPPENED?" Tisha Campbell is getting progressively louder and more like some brawling girl from the ghetto (which is why I had my doubts about her in the first place), Damon is simply irritating with the voices he puts on etc., Junior, if possible, is even more stupid than he was before, and that little boy Franklyn? Why is he even there? While he is very cute, unfortunately he is EQUALLY AS ANNOYING! He adds nothing, and manages to make the experience even more unenjoyable.

I can't take it anymore. The "jokes" aren't funny, the characters all grate on my last nerves, and I don't care what anybody says, but Damon acts soooooo GAY on 85% of the episodes that I don't get what is so funny about anything anymore.

GLAD IT'S ALL OVER NOW.

Mind-numbingly stupid
26 July 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I am very sorry to all those out there who loved this movie, but it was ridiculous. Make no mistake, I am a HUGE Ben Stiller fan, but I'm sorry the characters were too stupid for me to take. I know that was the point of the whole film and all, but I couldn't take it. NOBODY is THAT dumb.

The whole thing with 'Blue Steel' and the other four or five 'looks' that were ALL THE SAME was a bit much for me. It wasn't funny, just plain stupid. And the issue of the files being in the computer and their spending all that time trying to figure out how to PHYSICALLY REMOVE them...and then that guy dropping the computer to get them out? I mean COME ON!!! I'm not a stick-in-the-mud or anything, but I can't deal with such blatant stupidity. And the few things I chuckled at in this film were corny rather than funny; the only reason I did chuckle was that I'd never heard anything cornier.

The best thing was the fact that so many celebrities had cameos in it, and then at the end their baby was really cute. Other than that, I'd prefer for Ben to stick to his normal humour...you know, the kind that's actually funny?

Brilliant!
26 July 2005
This was a lovely film, and had everything you could ask for in a film: romance, adventure, thrills, action, and the list goes on. Jim Caviezel was the best man they could have chosen for the role of the Count. He was fantastic! I've actually just this minute watched it, and I'm so overwhelmed this is all I can really say at this point. I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THIS FILM!!!!! I could watch it over and over again. Thank GOD for good writers and actors. This was the best thing I've seen in a while, bearing in mind that I've just seen "Nothin' 2 Lose" and "A Guy Thing". After those two...WOW!!!! It's great to be back in a world where actors actually ACT and movies actually have a point. 10/10!!

Catwoman (2004)

Man ALIVE, this movie sucked.
26 July 2005
The only thing good I have to say about this movie is that no matter what, Benjamin Bratt is a fox. I honestly believe the writers, producers and directors just figured they'd throw in a few sex symbols - Benjamin, Halle and Sharon - and the audience would overlook the travesty that was this film. But how stupid do they think we are??? Good Lord. They could as well have just dressed the three of them up in costumes and let them walk up and down a stage and it would have been much more entertaining than it actually was.

I'm sorry, because I love Halle, I love Benjamin, and I don't really mind Sharon, but honestly I think this movie was pointless, anti-climactic and uninspired. It took me two days to get through it, and it's an experience I would love to push out of my memory. As I was watching it I was just praying I would see a shot of a half-naked Benjamin Bratt so I'd feel as if I got at least a quarter of my money's worth. Well...I got like an arm and a bit of chest. At least the guys got to see Halle prance, strut and jump about in a skin-tight leather suit. That's the best I can say.

Nothin' 2 Lose (2000 Video)

Are you kidding me with this?
26 July 2005
Warning: Spoilers
No wonder people have never heard of this movie. The only laughing I did was when I laughed at how crap the acting was, how lame and sometimes unnatural the dialogue was, and how lousy the thing was over all. I mean...WHAT ARE PEOPLE THINKING??????? Good LORD! Talk about your low-budget film - realistically speaking, who would have invested in this? The only person I knew in this movie was Brian Hooks, and he's already a somewhat corny, wannabe comedian(I barely tolerate him in 'Eve'.) The others I had never heard of, and I suppose will never hear of again after the 'acting skills' - or more accurately lack thereof - displayed in this piece of work.

The woman was incredibly whiny, the supporting actors (HA! HA! What in God's name were they supporting anyway?)were unrealistically and unbelievably cheesy and STUPID...and why is that when it comes to black comedies, there must be a wedding, some display of basketball, and some annoying female complaining "Oh I want to get married, I want to get married."

And the whole thing with the main character and his 'music'? We see him press two notes on a keyboard, they show some scantily clad woman doing a horrible job of mouthing the words to some tuneless, could-as-well-be-lyric-less piece and suddenly he's some 'talented' music producer? And what about that scene where he and his friend are in some car park - which i SWEAR is the same EXACT spot they used for the basketball scene along with about 4 others - with the trunk open, and some random man walks up to him and asks to buy a CD from them, and it turns out he's some hot-shot from a record label. I mean...COME ON!!!!! What record producer do you know who just hangs around in car parks waiting for some dimwit to sell CDs out of a trunk, then almost bends over backwards to help this joker? Are you kidding me with this????????????

Oh, and let's not forget the fact that this movie has no sense of time. One day they're at the wedding, the next the couple have been broken up for like 2 months? And the whole basketball issue seemed to happen all in one day, and sometime it was supposed to be day but it obviously been after 5 when they were shooting the scene so it was kinda dark and shadows were just all over the place... I mean, SPRING FOR SOME LIGHTING APPARATUS, WOULD YOU!!?? Good LORD!!!!

I mean, I know when you're in a movie, people think it's a big deal, but if I were any of these characters, I would try to AVOID people knowing that I had any part in the writing, the producing, the directing, the acting, or even the make-up department of this film!!! If I was rating this honestly, I would give it a -50 out of 10, but unfortunately this thing doesn't go any lower than 1.

A Guy Thing (2003)

This is some gentle comedy...
26 July 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Wow. That's about as much as I can say right now. Who writes this stuff? Who produces this stuff? What self-respecting actor would agree to 'act' in this stuff? Oh my GOD! I don't know how I made it through this movie, but I assume the fact that I had had like 8 cups of coffee that day was the key element in keeping me awake. Good Lord! It was one of the most droned-out and predictable pieces of cinematography I have ever witnessed...and for the record, I don't EVER plan to 'witness' it again.

I first saw the film when I bought the DVD (MISTAKE #1). I mean...I figured, hey! Julia Stiles. I like her. She's cool. I'll watch it as soon as I get home (MISTAKE #2). I tried to watch it without groaning every five minutes wondering when this bunch of crap would come to an end, really I did. But I was unsuccessful. It was one of the worst things I had ever seen. I mean...what is with that thing where he imagines what would happen then snaps back into real life? That was annoying enough when the father used to do that in 'Parenthood' like ten years ago. The 'jokes' - and BELIEVE me, it takes a LOT out of me to call them that - are stupid, the characters are trite and forgettable, the storyline is entirely predictable...altogether this makes for a movie that should be WIPED FROM HISTORY RECORDS! I should have figured something was wrong when I realized that I'd never heard of this movie. It was most likely a straight-to-DVD.

To anybody who may be thinking of watching this, I have one piece of advice. DON'T! For the LOVE of God...DON'T!!! I'm ashamed to have it in my DVD collection, and I can't get rid of it...Nobody, and I mean NOBODY wants to buy it from me! And I'm talking second-hand and third-hand thrift shops that would buy the mud off your shoes and stick it in the store window. That should let you know just how CRAP it is.

Drake & Josh (2004–2007)
This is pure crap!
25 July 2005
I don't know what other people were talking about when they said this was a good show. I watched it, and all I could think was "Is it over yet?" This is the most UN-funny and irritating bunch of drivel I have ever seen in my life. I feel like half my life passed away while I was 'watching' it. I mean...the acting is third-rate - to say the least - the dialogue is corny, and the story lines are cheesier than a bag of Cheeto's. It's sickening, and I would not subject my worst enemies to having to sit through this. I thought I had seen the worst audio-visual presentation ever when I watched 'Glitter', but this mind-numbingly corny and irritating spectacle has just brought me to new realms of boredom and frustration. Thank GOD it only lasted a short time. It was a waste of precious air time.

Friends (1994–2004)
The best sitcom the world has ever seen!!!!! Pity it's all over...
27 June 2005
I don't care what ANYONE says, FRIENDS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST SITCOM THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN!!!! I mean...come on! A wise-cracking sarcastic "Transpon-transponster" turned advertising agent...a neurotic, completely over-the-top chef...a formerly spoilt now down-to-earth hilarious fashion expert...a daft but funny largely unsuccessful actor...a crazy, weird, kooky massage therapist...a paleontologist so geeky that he's gone full circle into sweet and adorable...WHAT MORE CAN U WANT???? Over TEN - yes, say it with me, TEN YEARS - the writers and the actors of this show have WOWED us all with their sharp one-liners, their gestures and facial expressions that only they can pull off, simply their amazing talent. I don't know where they got these guys from, but this is the best ensemble I have ever seen. You know usually when you watch a show, it's like there's always at least one character you can't stand and you wonder why they're even there? With Friends, you can't help but love every single character!! You can't take any of these actors/characters out...the piece would be incomplete! And what about their voices and facial expressions? I mean...WHO COMES UP WITH THIS STUFF???? You can't watch Friends without laughing out loud - often for hours on end! There are so many sitcoms I watch that I'm lucky if I barely crack a smile. But Friends is a guaranteed laugh EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! The lines they deliver - and WOW do they deliver! - are lines I will forever remember. And not just because I'm a complete Friends freak - I mean, I can identify guest stars and extras in the background, name particular episodes, recite all the lines - but because these people are just brilliant! Simply brilliant! I say "BRING BACK FRIENDS!" Or at least let us know what's going with the characters or something. Bring some back in 'Joey'...maybe that will help the show a bit...I LOVE FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
