I Love and kinda Hate this movie
4 December 2023
+ Visually stunning. The color Red has its own personality here, it acts more like another actor actually.

+ Musics are beautiful when I consider them separate from the movie, I especially like the main soundtrack.

+ Cinematography is also good, some shots with all them colorful sets are memorable.

+ Although she didn't have much to do, I think the lead actress still did a fine job with her character. Can't say the same with the rest, maybe excluding the blonde girl with our main girl, cause they're more like pawns in the movie rather than characters of their own.

  • Story is weak, so weak that they decided to add a scene somewhere close to the end where two men suddenly show up and dump every information about the background of characters and the school on our main character and this scene awkwardly stands out. I'd rather have our main girl discover everything on her own just like she discovers the secret of witches.

  • Witches using a black gloved murderer who kills people in shadow sound stupid to me. You guys can kill people with magic ffs. I know it was a classic thing for giallo movies but still... They put a spell on blind pianist's dog and it kills and eats him and that was much better than the black glove killer. Maybe the killer is another spell, I dont know, if that's the case they still could have been way more creative with the murders.

-Helena Marcus(the main witch) has no power, and she's so lame, she just sits still on a bed and waits for our main girl to kill her

-After our main girl kills the invisible main witch, the whole place burns down, our main girl manages to run out of the place though and the movie suddenly ends right after she leaves the school and we watch the burning school and listen witches' screams at the end credits who are still burning inside the place, I don't know why but that sudden ending made me laugh.

  • and the worst of all the music strongly and loudly dictates what the audience should feel in all them creepy and mysterious scenes, and because of that I prefer all the quiet scenes with just characters talking, at least the very thin story somehow manages to take a few steps forward in them scenes.

But seriously I have to turn down the volume, music really reaches to a deafening level.

Overall, I think this movie is gorgeous and a visual masterpiece but it lacks a good story, and characters, and I think Dario misuses beautiful musics and force the audience to feel something through them loud music and it gets annoying really soon.

The Texas Blowing Raspberries Massacre
2 November 2022
This movie mixes the visual language and eerie, atmoshperic music perfectly together and create a weird and shocking story. Other Texas Massacre movies also try that but it feels forced in them somehow.

Even though some of the characters fall flat on actually being character, I mean most of them just exist to get killed and it's fine for slasher movies of course, and sometimes they say cringy dialogues and act so childish. I must say they still all fit so perfectly to the frame.

Anyone who hasn't seen this one, and have no problem watching old movies, should definitely give a chance instead of checking out the most recent and awful Texas Massacre movies.

Good sleeping material
16 April 2022
I can't believe I've finally found the most boring and useless Coen Brothers movie. But If you need any sort of background sound to help you fall asleep, you're in the right place 'cause this is your movie.

Let's start with good things though. Visually it's beautiful, costumes nd places are also great.

Okay We're done with the good elements. Now's the time for the worst side of this movie.

Except for the first two and the old man's stories. This movie gives the audience nothing but empty shell of characters who are not interesting at all and mostly talking nonsense throughout their segments with the best monotonous tone they could wear in their voices. And at that point, you might ask "well, maybe them segments are not character but story driven?" HELL NO!

There's barely a story there.

Just talking nonsense over nonsense over nonsense, oh indians! Shoot 'em, then talk nonsense again and again aaand the movie is over... Like I said, if you need any background sound to help you fall asleep, this is your movie. Other than that, I recommend you staying far away from this.

😂

This is one of the best comedy movie I've seen lately. Everytime Chris Rock talked or tried to act scared or surprised, I laughed my heart out.

He is so bad, the story is terrible, rushed and acted out more like a child's play. And by the way, what the heck was that stupid puppet? They couldn't use the original one? Actually it doesn't matter, wouldn't fix this hot mess anyway.

Amazing

From subtle dark humor with great stories and interesting characters to fart jokes with cheap mafia story and uninteresting, annoying characters. Wow, what a progress they've made with this show...

Useless remake
26 July 2021
It's like they took everything that made the original one perfect and turned it into soulless money grabbing trash. Actually yeah, that's true, it's another money grabbing trash.

Whoever's reading this comment and haven't seen this movie. I strongly recommend you to watch/rewatch the original Lion King instead and pretend like this one doesn't exist.

Just a guy who has seen the whole thing
19 March 2021
Just watch the first 5 seasons that actually has a beginning, middle and end. Those are the seasons that really worth watching. And then pretend like the rest doesn't exist because each season after season 5 is worse than the previous one (especially season 12) And that finale... Oh GOD!!! It's just doesn't worth it.

I think Aiden is way more frightening than Samara.
