The Town (2010)

Good if you are having trouble sleeping.
25 June 2021
This is your generic heist movie but with a boring plot, and boring actors. My friend showed this movie to me, and the TV fell asleep.

It's decent.
22 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So, I'll say this. I rate things with 5 being about the average movie.

6 is decent or okay to me.

I am not too much of a fan of the way Zach Snyder films. For me, there wasn't enough meaningful dialogue and there was too much slow motion. The action was really good, but some character's didn't feel right. The Flash felt off and Cyborg too.

The movie could've cut some stuff out. I think they resolved everything well, then they had Batman have a long dream that felt like forever. I think Jarred Leto is a horrible joker, I was hoping they would not have him, but they did.

Overall, it is better than the original.

Amazing.
27 February 2021
Best show I've ever seen. Seen all 12000 episodes like three times. Beats out Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones, The Wire, Mad Men, Stranger Things. The acting and music is perfect. The writers of the show perfectly encapsulate the true nature of humans, and this show speaks to the soul. The writers write detailed, complex characters with the whole spectrum of emotions. I promise, watch all 12000 before judging it. It may be slow for the first 11999 episodes, but once you watch the 12000th episode, you realize just why they wanted you to wait that long. Best show I've ever seen. Hands down.

If you like good writing, good acting, good cinematography and an all-star cast, you'll love this show.

Dexter (2006–2013)
7/10
Really good.
10 February 2021
I rate things like this. 5 is average. 6 is good. 7 is really good. 8 is awesome. 9 is amazing. 10 is almost perfect, in love with the show, obsessed.

So a 7 isn't as bad as some may think.

With that said, I would give the first few seasons a 9 or a 10. It is a fun thriller with a unique plot. The main character is a middle-aged white, anti-hero, like many other shows, except, the show does a really good job showing you that Dexter is not really a hero. He does what he does because he wants to, and only follows a strict code out of loyalty to his father.

Seasons 1-4 are nearly perfect, but seasons 5-8 are not too good. The ending is also really bad, that's why it gets what it gets.

The acting is good. The writing is decent. The plot is very interesting. The setting is average. The characters are good except for a few. It is very intense.

7/10 is fair.

Game of Thrones (2011–2019)
8/10
Amazing is some places, bad in others. More amazing than bad.
7 February 2021
I give this show an 8. Maybe an 8.5 I say its acting is amazing Characters are good Special effects/Make up, etc: Best I've seen Writing is okay Dialogue, a bit repetitive, everyone talks the same. There are many twists and turns. Really cool concept.

The main issues I have is that this show falls apart after season 5. Each one getting worse as it goes along. The ending is so bad, that, I don't even recommend watching this show if knowing that bothers you. If you take T.V seriously and analyze things, then you'll be disappointed. If you are more laid back, then you might not mind as much.

Just an FYI, this show doesn't really have a main character. If you like Breaking Bad and The Sopranos because of its cool main evil protagonist, you might not like this show. This show is mainly about this universe that was created more than it is about any one thing or person.

Lots of gore, sex, and cussing, so if you're bothered by that, you might not like it.

The Wire (2002–2008)
10/10
This is the greatest show in my opinion if you pay attention.
6 February 2021
The Wire is the best show I have seen in my life so far. However, if you watch it, you need to actually pay full attention to everything going on. You need to pay attention to the characters, how they interact with each other, how they feel, why they might feel that way. It is an extremely complex show, with many characters and different motivations behind all of them. Many people may call it slow, but it is not slow. It is just filled with a lot of plot, story and subtleties, and that's what makes it great. If you tend to watch shows while on your phone, cooking, or distracted, then you won't get anything out of it. If you are listening to the plot with the mindset of "waiting" for something to happen, then you'll hate it. The Wire requires that you pay attention to every detail..."All The Pieces Matter"

With that said, if you pay attention, it is the best show ever. Every line is quotable. All the characters are actually complex with various struggles. The Wire has a lot of characters, and the seasons are all different, with each one focusing on a different institution of the city; there are a lot of parallels to the war in Iraq. The Wire uses character relationships to help you infer how the characters got to the point where they are in the show. They also expand on what one person says with what another person says. One character may say something in one scene, then a completely different character may say something adding to that, but the show does it in a subtle way. That's why you need to pay attention to it. The Wire also examines society and how people interact. At its heart, it is about the people of Baltimore, whether it be the police, addicts, gangsters, school kids, teachers, the press, the working class, etc.

The Wire is also the most realistic police show ever, with an emphasis on what is real, not what can be quoted. The show doesn't force anything to be quotable, it just is quotable. The dialogue and police methods are real. The struggles are realistic, and the characters are real.

As weird as this is to say, I do not like shows that feel like people acting and reading from a script. I don't like shows that seem like they're trying too hard. The Wire is not one of those shows. Being able to feel authentic while providing series of complex characters and plot is what makes it good. Watching The Wire does not feel like watching a show, it's like watching real life drama unfold before your eyes.

The show is written by a Police Reporter, a cop/teacher, and other crime novelists. It's very novelistic, as in, each episode is like one big chapter. If you go into it with that in mind, it will be way more enjoyable if you're not used to shows with a lot of talking.

The bottom line is, if you pay attention, like complex characters, enjoy realism, and good writing, then you'll love this show.

The Mandalorian (2019– )

It's decent.
4 February 2021
Almost every episode is the same. This show is like when you get to the last castle as Mario and are told that the princess is in another castle. The music can be improved, the acting isn't the best from some of the cast. The action is pretty decent though. It's Star Wars and Disney has given us doo-doo for the past few years, so a decent show is really surprising. At first I thought the show was boring, but now I appreciate anything because of the terrible Star Wars movies. Overall, solid action, main character is cool, bad music, bad dialogue, good story. 7/10 is fair. 5 is average, 6 is okay. 7 is decent.

Breaking Bad (2008–2013)

Best Thriller on cable T.V
4 February 2021
This show is the best show to come out on regular cable. Period. It'll keep you on the edge of your seat. Be careful. This show is designed in a way that makes it very bingey. So, you might see all of it too quickly. Take your time and enjoy the show. Walter is one of the best characters in all of TV.

Each season also gets more intense as the show goes on.

The show is dark, with good acting, if you do not enjoy dark themes, you may not like it.

But overall, it has a good plot, good story, great acting, amazing cinematography, funny dialogue. It is not perfect, but I would give it a 9.5 out of 10.

It's okay. Don't see the big deal.
4 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was told this movie was one of the best movies of all time. When I saw it, I was struggling to find what was so great about it. Maybe I would've enjoyed it more if I saw it during that time, but I felt that at times it dragged along. It felt like the movie should've ended, but then it keeps going and going. In conclusion, I never expected Sean Bean to die.

No Ben Afflack
4 February 2021
9/10 cause no Ben Assfap. I hate that actor. P.S, if you need to go to sleep, watch The Town, with Ben Assclap. It'll knock you out harder than Mike Tyson on steroids after you were also given anesthesia and roofies.

It's okay.

I don't see the big deal about the show. It is okay, and it is very cheesy at times. It's better than average though, so it gets a 6 for me.
