Elvis (2022)
Really about the Colonel, not so much Elvis
Austin Butler has the BIGGEST shoes to fill and he did. He gets huge props on his ability to capture the essence of a legend.
However, the way this story is told leaves me nothing but sad. We all know how the story ends BUT wouldn't it be a more balanced tale if we focused on the talent and impact that Elvis had on the world of music or even his emotional depth in reacting to the world around him?
I think the movie could be received better if it were more inclusive of the good rather than feeling like a biopic story about a horrible person who only looked out for himself.
Things Heard & Seen (2021)
Not a Horror but a Psychological Thriller
If you are looking for quick scares or easy gore, turn away dear viewer. This is creepy but more about real monsters than dead ones or pretend ones.
Knives Out (2019)
Painful and Predictable
Some people love it some people don't. I don't. Found myself embarrassed for the actors and lack of writing.
Holly Star (2018)
I don't understand the ending - help!
I'm a sucker for a Holiday movie and this fit the bill. I liked the quirky characters that weren't always so perfect. I just don't understand the ending. Was there a buried bag? Where?
