Wild Croc Territory (2022)
must watch
This show is spectacular! I have never laughed so hard in my life at something so real. Not really one for reality TV but I really love this show and I recommend it to everybody that loves to watch things about nature and to have a good laugh. Poor Finn can't catch a break for nothing but I do think that the way they are treating him is kind of necessary for him to learn the ropes because at the end of the day you are dealing with wild animals and these animals have the strongest bite force in the entire Animal Kingdom so if you're looking for a lab and a good time I definitely recommend please watch.
Annihilation (2018)
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
I love Natalie Portman, that was the only reason i watched this garbage movie. It was a complete waste of 2 hours. You never learn what exactly happened, you never know exactly where this thing comes from, what it wants or why it even exists!! There is no real plot, its just random mutations and the stupidest storyline i have ever seen. There wasn't even a real ending... it leaves you hanging, which means there might be a crappy sequel in the future but without any clear details from this film there is NO WAY i would ever watch any sequel. Which means that you shouldn't waste your time watching it either!!
Clay Pigeons (1998)
Vince Vaughn is spectacular!!
I'll tell you what I've seen this movie probably about six times and every time I see it I just love it!! It is a wonderfully dark Thriller and Vince Vaughn's character is just a trip! He plays the part so well and it's kind of creepy but it is definitely worth watching!
Wo hu cang long: Qing ming bao jian (2016)
Some things are worth fighting for!!
Amen to that!! I Loved this movie! Its even better than the first one and i love Michelle Yeoh. She was amazing in Memoirs of a Geisha and she slayed this role!! A must see!!
Stonehearst Asylum (2014)
Madness can't be cured
This movie stunned me!! As someone who lives with mental illness, i have been committed before and i have suffered inhumane treatment so of course i thought this movie would be all about sadistic, barbaric ways of "curing" someone. I WAS WRONG!! It was nothing like i thought it would be and it captivated me right to the end and speaking of the end- big surprise!! I won't spoil it- you must watch this movie!!
The Wolfman (2010)
Very surprising!!
I have seen just about every werewolf movie out there, and while there is some familiar pattern here on how you can turn into one( being bitten), ot is unlike any other werewolf movie out there.
The script was very well written, the special effects and cgi are superb, however it is the underlying story that grips you right from the beginning.
A riveting performance from both Anthony Hopkins and Benicio del Torro. To say i highly recommend is an understatement. I absolutely recommend and like me you should enjoy this movie multiple times over.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Not what you expect!!
I read the bad reviews about this and i just don't agree. Yes some parts seem confusing towards the end but i think it was a good ending. The action was definitely good and it had a good flow. If you are a Star Wars fan then you will appreciate this movie. No its not what you expect but it still is a good movie.
The Lawnmower Man (1992)
Jeff Fahey at his best!!
I am a huge stephen king fan. I love all his books and his movies but the books include a lot more detail. I know he only did the title in this script, but its a good script anyways. Definitely recommend.
Our House (2018)
Intense and Engaging
This movie was better than i thought it would be. It has a very good script. Good actors. Decent ending. I don't want to say too much or i will spoil it but trust me this movie keeps your focus and gets more intense as you keep watching. I do recommend.
The Boy (2016)
Strange yet entertaining
I found this movie to be very enjoyable. It wasn't hard to predict the ending and even though i predicted it, it was still a good ending. I also want to say that i like how original this script was. When i read the summary for this movie i assumed it would be a rip off of Chucky but it wasn't. There was some really good acting in this movie too. I very much admired how the leading lady was able to act very genuine in her role for this film. I am a die hard horror fanatic so when i say that this movie impressed me, that's saying a lot. There's not a huge amount of blood or teens being slaughtered mercilessly by some monster or twisted, mutated bodies laying everywhere, but it is very creepy and thrilling psycologically. Definitely recommend.
House at the End of the Street (2012)
Pleasantly surprising
I love Jennifer Lawrence!! This character she plays is quite brilliant. I'm a die hard horror fanatic and this wasn't a horror movie, but it did have some very interesting twists. You won't get scared but its still a decent movie.
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
Very disappointing!!!
When you see Keanu you expect to see a great movie and it was all the way up to the end!! What Ian MacShane's character does in the end??!!! No, unacceptable!! Total cowardice in my eyes. Will never watch another John Wick again!!
Havenhurst (2016)
Horror halfway house
This particular movie is very intriguing in a very surprising way. It starts off kind of slow in unraveling the tale but once it gets going it becomes very interesting. I love that Danielle Harris was in this but she has such a small role. I will say that the leading lady surprised me the most. She seems to bring a darkness to this role that is quite delightful compared to her single mom dating serial killer role in dexter. I really enjoyed how she presents this character coming from a broken past.
And the best part of this movie was the Eleanor role. How wonderful is it that H. H. Holmes' wife turns out to be more deviant than he was. As the most prolific serial killer in all of American history he still stands as a demented King on a very bloody throne of followers. Many have tried over the years, Bundy, Dahmer, Gacy, Kemper, DeSalvo, Ridgeway, and so on but no one was more depraved or ingenious in how they killed their victims than Holmes. True most of his crimes were scams for money but he had such a captivating obsession with pain and death that he singlehandedly built his own hotel of horror. This film doesn't do the real hotel any justice however it was very intriguing the way it played out.
If you are a true crime buff and a horror fanatic then you will appreciate this film for its historical origins. If you delight in extreme gore then this movie will be disappointing. It has a few credible bloody scenes but nothing like Hatchet, Silent Hill, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street or any of the more gory, bloodthirsty slasher films out there.
This movie is interesting because of the historical background and it touches on another subject where a person encounters hell on a daily basis- addiction.
Definitely recommend watching.
Big Mouth (2017)
No holds barred funny
I really really love this show. It is everything you never really knew when you were a teen. This show isn't afraid to get real, raw and uncensored!! It actually taught me a few things i didn't know and i especially appreciate the Shame Wizard. His character is funny with an edge of doubt. Its like he wants to be good but part of him secretly wants to be bad too.
I wish coach steve was a little more mature and less of a dummy but i still love the show. Definitely recommend.
Death Note (2017)
Wow!! Too awesome!!
I really thought this movie was going to be just another cheaply thrown together and suck but it really surprised me. This was a great movie with plenty of twists and turns. I saw some other reviews of this and learned it came from animae which i can't stand but this movie was well played with some instances that you wouldn't expect. Definitely a movie i recommend!!
Emelie (2015)
Why??
This movie doesn't do anything for hard core horror and psychological thrillers. They leave out too much info so the whole film is slowly drawn out and will drag you to sleep. Not going to get into details but i will say this: a real mother would never subject her kids to the things this lady does. Meaning if you plan on replacing your lost child then you wouldn't torture and expose that child before kidnapping him!! I know about loosing a child. I would never do what she does and how did she get in a position where she could replace the replacement babysitter. Who is the weird guy and what kind of ending was that?? Sorry but this director wasn't putting his best skills forward on this one.
Mercy Black (2019)
Psychological influences
I really started getting a good feeling about this movie but it turned totally confusing about the last thirty min. They never explain how these girls found a book telling them how to create mercy. They never explain why they wanted to create her in the first place. I understand why the marina character wanted to promise but they never explain why the other two girls agreed to do the ritual. They leave you wondering why bryce makes a promise either. They say they created this thing but if so then where did this book come from and why do you never see the book?? Its a good scare you feel with the anticipation and the goosebumps but the ending doesn't make sense. Maybe you can figure it out.
Polaroid (2019)
Cursed camera or cursed man??
This story starts off like hundreds of others, however the lead girl was phenomenal. She really creates that vulnerable but damaged role really well. Some actors don't really seem believable in horror films but this girl nailed it. Also happy to see more than one person survives. Its not spectacular but its a decent movie.
Clinical (2017)
A must see
I thought this movie was awesome. It had a twist that i figured out before it was revealed but for someone who has seen horror movies by the dozens and psychological thrillers by the hundreds i have pretty much seen it all and what i haven't seen on the big screen i have experienced personally. Spent a lot of years with therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists so im well versed. I love the character played by Vinessa Shaw. She rocked in the hills have eyes. She brought a wonderful performance to this flick. I will say that they could have picked someone better to be her psychiatrist though. If you are a die hard horror fan, then you must see this movie.
Evil Lives Here (2016)
Compelling, revealing & raw
I don't understand why some of the others that have left reviews want to be upset or blame the people who are telling their stories. Unless you have been in the same situation you don't know what you are talking about!! A lot of serial killers act completely different around their own families. A lot of people who do violent things had violent things happen to them. A lot of abusers and bullies were abused and bullied by others. You need to focus on your own lives instead of judge others. It takes a huge amount of courage to tell your story. Your test becomes your testimony. Its not about common sense or letting things get too far. Some people are stripped of choice. Some don't say or do anything out of fear and a lot of people stay in their situation because of other people they are protecting, like their siblings or their own kids. You don't know. And when you are ignorant about something then you should educate yourself and if you can't empathize with anyone then don't say anything at all. Violence and unspeakable horror is out there- everywhere!! How you deal with it is your business but if you choose to share then you are helping others become educated and help them understand that they are not alone!! I was abused and used from very early childhood until late in my twenties. It started at home and then it happened in my relationships. You don't recognize toxic people when violence and abuse are all you know. You think that when somebody hits you or hurts you that its love, but you don't know that at the time!! I learned the hard way and i never call myself a victim, i am a survivor!! Thats exactly what these people are on this show!! They are survivors and their courage and bravery is very inspiring. I believe if i had the ID channel when i was growing up then i could have learned not to be naive, i could have recognized those "signs" and avoided a lot of the bad that happened to me. These survivors should be praised for what they have been through because they at least had the courage to make it out and pass on what they learned!! Awesome series. Incredible stories, raw emotions and reality about what is out there in the world all around us!! Definitely worth watching!!
Green Room (2015)
Awesome gore
If you are a hardcore horror fanatic then you will definitely love this movie!! Great acting and so refreshing to see Patrick Stewart play a villian!!
The Invitation (2015)
Do not recomend this movie!!
I was all set to give this movie a ten because the loss of a child is something i have known and felt but the ending sucked. I knew this wasn't a horror movie and i am a hard core horror fan but the end was not only confusing but a downright disgrace. Like in real life who decides life and death??!! This just seemed to really sad. I don't recomend this movie to anyone unless you are involved with a cult and even that is pushing it. Way too much of a disappointment.
Cujo (1983)
Amazing adaptation
None of the movies based on Stephen King novels do any justice but the film Cujo is still a great movie. It may not be majorly violent but it is believable. Any mother would fight to the death for their child. Love it
The Perfection (2018)
Twisted,dark and eloquent
This movie took me by surprise.just when i thought i knew what was going on it switched everything, spiralling down a different path.i won't spoil it by stating certain things but i will say that you should definitely watch it.
