Sissy (2022)
Surprisingly good, feel god/bad horror story
Starting a bit slow but did feel for the main character that where well played. Supporting roles where a bit of hit/miss. Would not have known that it where a horror move in the beginning if I had nor read it before which made the horror part so much more effective once it started.
Did not see the twist coming att all and even tough there where hints along the way. I did not recognize them until well into the second part. So the script where decent, not much confusion and nicely wrapped up in the end.
The could have a bit better pacing and support actors, skipped some of the closeups on faces, to close and to many.
Uncharted (2022)
Just a series of meaningless action and puzzle scenes
Did expect more from this, film never took of or made me feel for the characters, just a long string of semi confusing scenes. Why can't the invest in a good screen writer when the can speed so much money on everything else?
Close (2019)
Much better than expected
Good script, atmosphere, acting and a few decent fight scenes shows that you can make a good movie without tons of special effects.
To bad that a unnecessary abrupt ending and a few medioker scenes made this move just good, not great.
Last Night in Soho (2021)
Nice looking move that went nowhere 95% of the time
The movie looked really nice, however it spent most of the time glorifying the 60s, not going anywhere with the story. Once something happened it was sooo confusing.
The description and movie don't match, regret that I even watched it.
Nomadland (2020)
One hour and 45 minutes waiting for something to happen
Think the movie is supposed to make a statement but can't really figure out what it is? Unless it's the fact that some people like to drive around aimlessly in a van.
Sh'at Neila (2020)
To many long boring scenes that did not add to the story
The only realistic about it where the confusion and people losing it. The rest including battle scenes and special effects where pretty bad, the bad acting did not help.
The historcal context is interresting, unfortunately there where little of that in the series. Mostly about people ignoring the most basic common sense for loved ones and contry.
Tenet (2020)
Film focus more on special effects and the dilema of time travel than on the story
So many films today focus on special effects and on some basic idea, ignoring story itself and Tenet is realy bad in this department.
Making a movie about time travel is difficult and Tenet does not succed. Feels like i'm watching an experiment in how to make the most confusing time travel paradox possible.
Black Christmas (1974)
The manuscript and acting is decent, the direction, camera work and sound is not.
This movie could have turned out great with a decent manuscript and some good actors. Hover it did not, the bad direction, camera work and sound removed most of the suspense needed for a horror movie to succeed.
There are some good scenes but for the most part it does not feel real at all. It starts with a looong scene of someone approaching the house that feels more like someone that walks with a camera than a stalker. The sound and lightning in in the house is descent, but everywhere else it's so bad it makes me cringe.
No this is definitely not the horror movie you have been looking for!
The Mandalorian (2019)
Just chaching in on the star war franchise
It's a cheap soap opera in a star wars setting with a prop (baby Joda). As a star war fan I'm disappointed by a bad manuscript, bad acting and almost no connection to star wars.
The animated series STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS had a lot more story and feeling in them, despite being animated.
