First things first - DO NOT pay any attention to one star reviews. If person has attention span of a gold fish, this movie is not for this person!

Movie is not boring, not a singe bit !

It is an intelligent, thought provoking, funny at times movie and you need to be able to retain information in your head for a few hours, connect the dots to enjoy this one.

10 out of 10 it is not, but I am offsetting the over all rating. It is solid 8 or 9.

This movie has not a single shred of wokness in it, if it does, I did not pick it up.

Main characters of the movie is a regular American family - husband, wife, bunch of kids. Dialogues in the movie are intelligent, kids are bright, maybe even to much for their age. Adult conversations have meaning, they are not empty!

General events depicted fell like in a bit of an alternative reality, concerning language, what is thought in college and such.

Overall theme throughout the movie is death and fear of death and how it affects people, changes their behavior even.

There are a few brilliant and funny moments, that really made me laugh.

Movie touches on such things as psychology in general, crowd psychology. Some lectures mimic political speeches in front of thousands of people.

Movie also makes you think about what makes you who you are, because all our interactions, information we consume shapes us!

Movie touches on human rights briefly, very topical with the events of past few years.

Movie touches on a subject of drug use in everyday life, like pharmacy, not substance abuse.

Theme of what desperation makes people do is depicted.

Relationship between husband and wife.

What is hope?

I do not agree with other reviewers that movie has two separate movies in one, I would say, that events create backdrop for main themes and thoughts this movie provokes you to think!

I strongly recommend it, very nice first movie of the year for me!

This is one of those 10 dumb decisions in a row to prolong the run time movies.

Initial drama completely avoidable by proper climbing safety.

Noone gets hurt, movie over.

You are stranded on a tower with two working phones, some rope and clothes.

Make a small parachute, drop phone down to the ground to post whatever or send message and movie over.

You got down to the drone, write call 911 on it and fly it down to the diner, movie over.

Aim the flair gun down at the diner during the evening, get attention of the police, movie over.

And so on and so forth.

If you are not taken over by the fear of heights, you just see a string of stupid decisions one after another and screaming at the screen.

Also you are climbing 2000 ft high tower, wear a parachute to end your adventure with a nice base jump or as a safety precaution, move over :))))

Whole invasion thing is just cheap excuse to deliver THE MESSAGE!!!

White male patriarchy must die, literally! Only thing sheriff deserves after 45 years of service is to get killed on last day. No retirement for white evil man!

Men are weak cheating manchilds, incapable of taking care of their families and even starting their own cars, step in strong woman figure to save the day!

Only thing that is important in whole Japanese space program is lesbian astronaut and communications specialist. There is literally noone else in a building of hundred people and agency of several thousand that know what they are doing, so that our hero must rush in after work hours and establish communications!

This movie goes into category "about life" Premise is simple, but more is not even needed, group of male entertainers go on last trip together.

Seeing trailer I thought - OK, Channing Tatum will remember his early days and dance with group of colleagues, but there is more to it. Dealing with past issues, uncertainty of future, friendship, relationships.

At the same time it is quite entertaining comedy with jokes above the waist for a change.

And then there is theme of respect against women.

So in general funny and entertaining movie for Friday night.
