The Night Agent (2023– )

Well they tried
26 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Dear Netflix, Stop making a series out of everything. Sometimes a story can be told in a two-hour movie.

It started out well and held my attention, unfortunately, by the fourth episode the story began to fall apart. There were too many bad guys, too many twists, too many implausible plots. By the fifth episode, I was scrolling through my phone.

But the deeper the plot got, the less plausible the storyline became and the less off topic. Yes, I know it's a story, but it felt like different lines were stopping and starting and taking different paths just to lead to a very convoluted story. And the VP was willing to sacrifice his daughter? Politicians are slimy, but who knew?

**sigh**

Warning: Spoilers
Anything related to the Warrens should be taken with a grain of salt. A very large grain. This was incredibly cheesy, although the actors did try. The actor that labels himself as "skeptical" took me out of the episode with his smirk on his face.

I find it hard to believe that the team investigating the Lawsons didn't know the story. I've heard it no less than 3 podcasts.

The "hotspot" in the yard? Seriously? Please come up with something just a tad better.

I did stick it out for every episode because I'm no quitter. But this was beyond terrible, the hoping back and forth super annoying. However, I was thankful the episodes were short.

So much promise

Warning: Spoilers
I really wanted to like this. I forced myself to watch the entire first season, hoping it had some redeeming qualities, but I found few. I tried to find a character I liked, but it proved difficult at best. Their characters had a hard time getting fleshed out fully and the ones in OK were completely abandoned. The teenagers weren't horrible, but the children were insufferable, I've never disliked children more. Even the aliens were lazily told, for taking over a planet they were pretty hit and miss. So many questions, so many things that didn't add up, no matter how you sliced it. Why did the US come to Japan? How did the bad guys know about the mysterious chunk the family was carrying & what it could do? By the end, I was rooting for the aliens.

Don't listen to the haters

Yes, the bad guys are predictable. So are the good guys. Some characters are redeemed. This brings back memories and old faces, it saves the day, and just makes for a fun watch.

Pleasantly surprised
19 November 2021
I'm always afraid of sequels because they can easily ruin the original story, especially one as loved as Ghostbusters. I did not go in with high expectations because I didn't want to be disappointed, but by the end I was extremely blown away. McKenna Grace is so talented that she has never disappointed and the same can be said for Finn Wolfhard. By the end the tears were flowing and how it accomplished was truly well done. I was not disappointed and Jason Reitman should be proud.

What did I just watch???
22 January 2021
Ok, I figure Bruce Willis must of had dental surgery on his filming day, it's the only reason I can think of why he's talking so strange. Or he was stroking out. Other than that, this is undoubtedly the worst film. Why do they always make hospitals deserted? Why is the girl who's running for her life completely suck at Hide-&-Seek? I doubt she could have made more noise. So many holes, so many issues, so many bad scenes. So much bad acting.

Don't Read the Bad Reviews

People who are rating this low and really dragging the movie through the mud are a bunch of Grinches. This is a kids movie and a family movie. Is it cheesy? Heck yeah. Is it worthy of eye-rolls? You betcha. This is what makes it fun. I don't know about you, but I needed this right now. What it through the eyes of a child and enjoy the moment.

Supernatural: Carry On (2020)

Well, I think others missed the point
20 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First, Jensen didn't "hate" the ending, it took him a little while to get it and then he really did like it. Second, Dean got the peace he wanted and Sam got the family he wanted. It wasn't how many "wanted" it. They wanted to see Dean and Cas. Cas' story was over. The last episode was for the boys. I thought it was told well in the time they had available. I wish people could see this for what it was. An ending and a beginning. As Dean drove his Baby, Sammy led his life. It was a fitting end for a 15-year journey. Jack opened Heaven and Cas helped make it what it was. The boys will be with friends and neighbors, family and each other. Don't be haters because you don't see the big picture. Enjoy the wonderful journey we had.

Not sure how I feel
4 November 2020
Season 1 was good, the stories were interesting. Definitely not the same essence that the TV show held. Season 2 has been quite different. The episodes could cut 15 min out of each episode if they cut out the long, long, long moments of silence/pauses. It feels like they are playing the narrative at 1/2 speed. I haven't been able to stay awake on any episode.

Home for Christmas Day (2017 TV Movie)

Why?
11 November 2018
With sons who are soldiers, I question this ending. How many families waited for that type of homecoming? How many are still waiting? This is the only Christmas movie I have ever hated.

I was rooting for the Strangers
27 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I stuck it through to the end because I'm not a quitter. I'm not sure which whiny character I disliked more. Each decision made is worse than the one before. After the length of time the virus has gone on no one has tried to find other ways to survive? No one has tried to find survivors and come up with a plan? Martin doesn't want to take a shower, however, he fills his canteen with water at the doctors place. Whatever.

I felt lied to...
27 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
***SMALL SPOILER***

I wasn't that impressed to be honest. The build-up for this movie was over the top, yet it failed to deliver. After making so many movies, each better than the one before it (ok, maybe not Ironman 2), I was expecting this movie to blow me away. Yet I felt cheated and lied to.

After months of questions about Hawkeye's whereabouts, we were told that he had a very special part to play, that by including him on the posters would give away plot points. However, the only thing we get is a passing comment about his and Scott Lang's location. Why not be upfront? Why lie?

In addition, cast members made numerous comments about how "full" the list of characters was...anyone and everyone was going to be in the movie. I didn't know that meant counting extras, craft services, and production staff.

How do you get out of having dead characters, the ones that have movies coming in the near future? To me, Marvel just jumped the shark. I won't be seeing the next one.
